Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and its dry at the moment in brackley ,and maybe cold outside .
My usual plans as to bus to Bicester , hopefully have a chat some I know.
Slow improvements on the health front , the bottled water as to taking with medication is starting to work , so local tap water other than boiled in a kettle seems to be the answer.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from dark South Lanarkshire. I don’t know yet what the weather is doing.

Yesterday turned out to be very pleasant as we decided to take a run along the Clyde Valley which was resplendent in autumnal colours and was a feast for the eyes. We popped into a couple of garden centres and bought some bulbs to layer up in pots which DH did when we got home. While we were in the garden centre we bumped into a lovely woman who had taught my children at primary school, I hadn’t seen her for years so it was nice to catch up.

Later on we had a longish walk with the dog and chatted to a few people along the way.

Off to childmind today. School and nursery pickups at lunchtime and a dance class for the four year old in the afternoon.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning Mick and following folk, it’s dry and chilly here on the hillside in south Glos where I lead a very quiet life 😊
I had a lovely afternoon with my friends at sewing group yesterday (I was completely muddled and thought it was art group week 🙄). I’d taken my needlework as well, just in case as I hadn’t put it on the calendar. We do alternate weeks of art and needlework.
Anyway, a lovely afternoon chatting and drinking tea 😊
Today I will spend getting ready for DS, DDIL and DGCs coming tomorrow, I need to bake a cake and write a to-do list so I don’t forget anything.
So looking forward to seeing them all 🌹

Lost four posts. Shall try again later.

Good morning from a dark damp Belfast.
Glad you are feeling better Mick. I always buy bottled water
and so does DD.
Getting our flat roof renewed so hopefully rain will be slight
Can't seem to get motivated when there's workmen about.
Started knitting again a hat to begin. Haven't knit for a long time and thumb is very stiff.
Have the best day you can. Take care everyone.

Still dark here. DH getting ready to go to work, dog curled up beside me.
Staying in today. Hopefully, a coin will be delivered from the royal mint for DGS 18th birthday.
Just a start as a gold reserve. He's doing A level economics.
And lots of hw for me to do.
Yesterday found a book at Oxfam on landscape painting. Might make a start.
Best wishes to you all.

Good morning everyone, I’m not sure what woke me up this morning but I’m sure it’s cold and I know it’s dark out there on the east coast of Fife.
I’ve had to put my central heating on.
I’m off out today with my carer, I’m going to my local club to chat to my friends whom I’ve not seen in weeks, it’ll be fun.

Have a good day and keep safe

Good morning! After losing 4 messages I’m giving up!
Can’t believe when I’m up unusually early to post!!!! 😬

Greyduster Fri 25-Oct-24 06:28:01

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is still dark and 10 degrees outside. I have a bit of a sore throat going on this morning so my morning coffee is more welcome than usual. Hope it’s not the start of something. Had a glorious walk in the woods yesterday morning and a couple of hours with my niece in the afternoon. The engineer is coming early today to look at my troublesome boiler and see if he can find out why the pressure keeps dropping out, so no loafing in bed this morning!
Have the best day you can folks.

Ashcombe Fri 25-Oct-24 06:33:52

Good morning from a very wet Torbay which is a pain as I really need to do a Lidl shop.

I have a busy weekend ahead as I'm helping backstage with two days of fundraising cabaret shows for our theatre. All performers are connected with Toads and it promises to be a busy but entertaining two days.

Happy weekend, everyone! XXX

Ashcombe Fri 25-Oct-24 06:34:38

Not concentrating or I’d have put 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩 not XXX!!

Good morning from s somerset, rain until pm

Nice day yesterday, practical stuff in the morning, sewing included. Knitting happened after lunch, with some tv, I am liking channels 10 and 20 with old style longer episodes. Boiler is serviced, does not need an actual service but I like it to have the safety checks as it is a gas appliance.

I am expecting two exciting parcels today, hope it is two as one via royal mail was mis-directed to the wrong hub. Very tactile and good things to do with knitting storage. I don`t do holidays or meals out, no need, so I spend on my hobbies. These will be stood on shelves in my living room. Cost me loads but so what. I might put a photo here when sorted

I will start my day with sewing straight after getting dressed, just a couple of hours daily, like a plodding goat up a mountain I will get finished

Have a good day

Mizuna Fri 25-Oct-24 06:44:57

Sounds like a fun weekend Ash! Good morning from a dark, dry Cornwall. My daughter-in-law visited yesterday and it was a delight to see her with her flame-red hair and bohemian clothes. Next week she's coming for a macrané workshop so I'd better look out my text books and do a practice run.

Today it's Superdrug, Asda, the library and the doctor's. A glam day! 😂😂

Mizuna Fri 25-Oct-24 06:47:05

I meant of course macramé, not a new type of knotting. 🤣

Susan56 Fri 25-Oct-24 06:52:10

Good morning from Cheshire.Dry at the moment but sunshine and showers forecast.

We will go to visit mum this morning then head for home. The staff on the new ward seem much more caring and have already arranged a dietician and consultant to visit mum.The ward has a lovely garden so we were able to go for a walk and sit in the summerhouse yesterday.

As baubles mentioned the autumn colours are stunning which is making all the driving more enjoyable.

I hope that we hear from hollysteers today and that she is improving.I feel very concerned about her.

Thoughts with all and hope everyone has the best day they can🦩💐

Bellasnana Fri 25-Oct-24 07:04:31

Good morning from Malta where the weather is a bit cloudy but the forecast is for a dry 25°C. The wet week they told us to expect has not happened.

Had a lovely catch up with my friend yesterday. No plans today until my weekly hair appointment.

Hope Grandmabatty is ok. I miss her daily posts.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Marydoll Fri 25-Oct-24 07:12:34

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 11°C.

DH has brought me a cuppa, I've had a particularly restless night, despite being exhausted after Babydoll's visit. She just wasn't herself yesterday, very clingy instead of her usual Miss Aloof, non affectionate self. She would not let me out of her sight.
My hear flipped, when I looked at her cuddling into her papa. I would have sworn it was her daddy, at the same age; sitting there.

Baubles, that sounds lovely. My brother's garden backs onto the River, it is idyllic. Did you visit Silver Birch, my favourite garden centre?

Little planned today, my mobility seems to have decreased after my incarceration, so I won't be doing much..
I have a delayed parcel to pick up at Sainsbury's, which is only ten minutes away and then back home clean the floor, blinds and door in the conservatory. There won't be much shopping getting done, I feel quite weak.

The reason for the conservatory clean is that Baby decided that she had enough of her mince and potatoes yesterday and started firing it everywhere. Sheer exhaustion last night meant that I could not summon up the energy to do anything, but give the room a cursory clean.

Thank you for the all the news, even if you haven't been able to actually post it! It's the effort, which counts.😂
A special thanks to the Glasgow grans, who have been bolstering me up, with their chat and lovely photos.

Finally, Mick, please see your GP, ASAP. As others have previously said, if it was the drinking water in your complex to blame, the other residents would also be experiencing symptoms and the management team would be taking action. Bottled water is not the solution
You need to see a clinician to get to the root of your problems.

For all those carrying heavy burdens, health or otherwise, I send my best wishes. 💐

Redcar Fri 25-Oct-24 07:13:12

Good morning everyone from essex where it’s dry, mild and very dark. Gutters being cleared this morning, it will be good not to have to worry about them overflowing in torrential rain!
Otherwise a day of housework is planned.
Did some gardening yesterday so the garden waste bin is full and ready to be collected today. Also moved a few pots of bulbs around so they get some sun when it’s out.
I hope everyone has the best day possible.

Marydoll Fri 25-Oct-24 07:16:33

Bella, GMBatty was in contact with me yesterday.

NannyJan53 Fri 25-Oct-24 07:28:01

Good morning from a dark and dry (so far) Black Country.

Memory Cafe with Mum this morning, then lunch out . Then take her to have jabs this afternoon.

Off to see West Side Story tonight at our local Town Hall.

Best wishes to all.

baubles Fri 25-Oct-24 07:28:26

Yes Md the Silver Birch was in full on Christmas mode. Beautiful displays a usual but totally over the top for normal sized homes. grin

We are on the road to Edinburgh, very foggy over the fields by the side of the motorway which has no fog. Very odd.

Grammaretto Fri 25-Oct-24 07:29:09

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Rather too eventful here yesterday. I was entertaining the DGD at my house in the afternoon. We had just sat down in the kitchen to drink apple juice when the glass door of the cooker exploded. It wasn't switched on at the time!
We all got a fright though no-one was hurt. Glass everywhere but not shards, luckily.
The next hour was spent trying to find what to do about it as it's out of guarantee though less than 3 years old.
Today I shall do my shift at the community store and hope for a calmer day.
Have a good one .

GrannyIvy Fri 25-Oct-24 07:36:14

Good morning from a slightly misty Cambridgeshire.
The man from the council is not sure if they can issue an order to our neighbour to cut down his large leylandi tree and has gone off for further advice after taking lots of pics. The saga goes on and the tree just grows!
I’ve had to cancel all planned arrangements today and for the weekend due to my persisting cold. Would hate to pass this one on so hibernation continues with DH
Dreaded clock change this weekend but I will ease into it I am sure.
Hope everyone has a good day 💐

BlueSapphire Fri 25-Oct-24 07:47:30

Good morning everyone from a still dark, dry Northampton, but rain is expected later. Glad I got the back grass cut yesterday.

Was pleased with my visit to the hairdresser yesterday. Afterwards I popped into the village florist and ordered flowers to be delivered to my DSis on her 70th birthday next week.

Finished my 'Queen's Gambit' book yesterday after doing the grass; think I will start one that DD has lent me this weekend.

Dance classes this morning then will do a top-up shop. Curry for dinner tonight.

Have a good day everyone.

brook2704 Fri 25-Oct-24 07:51:10

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark but feels quite mild
Frustrating with lost posts gMattie and dunworking
DGD stayed over for a sleepover last night, she’s still asleep and there’s no school here today so I’ll let her sleep in as long as possible 😴 we’ll be taking her home about lunchtime. If it’s still dry I’m hoping to get out in the garden this afternoon and then I’m off out with my pals for a bite to eat this evening.
Safe travels Susan, baubles and everyone on the move today
Hoping you feel better soon GrannyIvy
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
