Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , but looks as if there has been overnight rain .
Usual plan today hoping to see others I know whilst in Bicester on the bus , the way it works for me I pay the £2 single ,and then use bus pass on return leg .
Watch TV later with next years Tour De France being announced for both men and women.
Health wise little change.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Malta where day is dawning and we expect a cooler 23°C.

I’m just off to look after littlest twin as he has to be clear of fever for 24 hours before returning to nursery.

He seemed fine yesterday after a long nap and woke up feeling much cooler and ready to play. However, DD3 says his fever spiked again last night so it’s another early start for me.🥱😴

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning Mick and all who follow - I’m on first shift here at PG Towers as I forgot to pick up an order at Screwfix as my friend and I swanned off to TKMaxx yesterday😡.

I was rudely informed that they open at 7am and the loft insulation team (MrPG and his young apprentice- me 😉) would be starting work at 8am sharp….🤣

Will pop along later and check on poorlies, worried and well 🤗

Good morning from s somerset, I am hoping for more inspiring weather today, yesterday was lifeless weather, no energy in the air

I was busy until lunch yesterday, just the usual stuff, keeping on top of things and making an almond traybake but strangely, my energy fizzled away. I do think it was my bodyclock complaining. I listened and only did knitting after lunch as well as watch some old tv. Thankfully I have woken up with my usual energy today

I have to get myself out on a walk this morning, it is not a long walk but long enough to stir my blood. I may even unearth my sad lamp, not much early sun right now and I think it is a good idea to start using it

My sewing mojo needs to come back, just enough to finish my current project, I need to keep telling myself to get on with it, I do not want to fold it into a box for next year.

Have a good day

Good morning from Cornwall where it's going to be sunny today. My grandson had fun at the weekend on an adventure with his dad, as you can see.

Yesterday coffee with my photographer son then an amble through town with him, in and out of all the little shops, ending with fish and chips on the quay. A real tonic.

Today I'll go to the Adult Education Centre to enquire about a six-month course on working with fabric. I fancy something to stretch my mind during the winter but as it's on the other coast I need to think about the timing of it.

Morning Mick, morning All. From the little I can see our corner of Somerset is dry if damp after yesterdays rain

Next Wednesday before I can see a dentist, good job it doesn’t hurt. Practical ‘stuff’ accomplished while we were out yesterday morning the afternoon was spent on sorting less tangible if important things. A decent enough day. Routine today, grocery delivery, hair cut and dust removal. Not sure I’ll cope with the excitement. grin.

Goodness pant that’s an early mission. Good luck. Frustrating for you grandmattie, machines eh? Hope your grandson has a settled day bella, poor lad.

I’ll pop back later for news. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. This wretched cold continues (as others on this thread) to bother me. Both DH and I are still coughing and snuffling (with little sleeping)some 10 days on.
Today the 10 & 5 year old are coming with DD2 (who also has the cold) for lunch and pumpkin carving and various other Halloween crafting. My lovely neighbour over the road is going to make us all pumpkin soup later.
DD1 has gone under the radar again with her lot so not sure if they are on half term or not or what is going on. Her work, her uni studies, her DH & her teenagers, her needy in laws consume her, hopefully we will hear from them soon.

Hope everyone has a good day 💐

Good morning from Shropshire.Misty at the moment.A dull day forecast.

Yesterday’s visit to the bank was very useful. The car passed its MOT.After I collected it I went to do a supermarket shop the first for a while. The car boot was full, now the cupboards are full and the purse is empty!

Today I have more admin to do for mum then will start sorting books out as I have far too many.DD and SIL will collect the dog later and drop the children off!

My brother reported a slightly better day for mum.He is staying near the hospital for a couple of nights so we can have a break from driving and also sort the admin out.

I hope that all in sick bay are continuing to improve and that all went well for Mr FGT yesterday.

Have the best day you can everyone💐🦩

Good morning from a bright and clear Torbay.

Today it’s our ninth wedding anniversary! We were married in Cockington Manor and had had our reception at the nearby Lutyens designed pub, The Drum, for about 40 guests, followed by a party for other friends two days later at our theatre. I shall celebrate by going to Props and a physio class as DH is in France. ☹️

Hope you all find a reason to smile today. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

GrannyIvy Tue 29-Oct-24 06:56:45

Susan 💐 I went through a similar situ with my mum a few years ago and feel for you and sending you my best wishes. Not easy you have your mum and then your own children, GC and sit in the middle juggling …. Take care of yourself

brook2704 Tue 29-Oct-24 07:02:58

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s just light and looks cloudy
Happy Anniversary Ash enjoy your day even though you’re celebrating on your own! 🥂💐
I had an enjoyable day yesterday, a last minute decision to go out for lunch with DD2 was the highlight and hopefully cheered her up a bit. Her house viewings seemed to go ok but no positive news yet. Today I’m meeting my pal for coffee so I’m looking forward to that and having a good catch up. DHs cellulitis on his leg seems a bit better so hopefully the antibiotics are working their magic
Enjoy your trip away monk and everyone else on holiday just now
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

mum2three Tue 29-Oct-24 07:05:05

Another mild day in prospect. You don't know what to wear when the weather is like this. I had put away my Summer clothes, and have had to dig them out again.

kittylester Tue 29-Oct-24 07:08:37

Good morning all from a damp looking North Leicestershire.

A gentle start today as DH is picking up his 'drive' about 10 miles away at 8.30. I'm staying out of his way.

I have choir today so need to rejig my folder - winter songs are the order of the day now.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, I’ve been awake for a bit which is early for me, I think the clock change is still having an effect.

Audiologist to have my ears cleared first thing but I think all the oil application has done the job itself, so that would be good and save me the extortionate charge which now applies.

Then the Apple Store to get help with my phone which I think may have been hacked a couple of weeks ago when I pressed a link in an email which purported to be from our local councillor, I am having repeated trouble getting into my email account and when I go to the Help Page, the language is Chinese.
I may just have to make an appointment because when I tried to do that online or by phone yesterday my new password wasn’t recognised. It’s all been very stressful actually.

Glad you’re at least getting some of the admin sorted out Susan, a very difficult time for you.

Mizuna, your post is, as ever, a tonic.

Best wishes everyone.

Good morning from Durham. Another fine day forecast. It was weirdly warm yesterday.

I’m going with a friend to look at a new (used) car for her. She has a very specific short list and this model is on it. As she’s never sat in or driven one, it’s an opportunity to see if it remains on the list. I don’t think she’ll buy it, but it’s worth a look.

DD1 arrived safely at their hotel in the early hours, the actual holiday starts today. I hope DGS1 has fun - an 7, its all about him really?

🥂Ash - you know how to celebrate!
FGT2 an anxious wait, takes me back - book, film, Tshirt etc 🤞

Bother - just remembered it’s bin day!

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
Forecast is for 14 degrees today and supposed to be dry.
Yesterday was a quiet day with just minimum housework and quite a lot of reading.
Hairdresser coming this morning and that is enough excitement for one day.
Happy anniversary Ashcombe.

monk08 Tue 29-Oct-24 07:26:11

Happy Anniversary Ashcombe 🥂.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 29-Oct-24 07:27:24

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Our cleaner is coming today, a day early as she was on holiday. I would normally listen to two V&A lectures on a Tuesday morning but that will be difficult. I may leave them until this evening as they are recorded. I will hopefully visit an old friend this afternoon who has a hospital appointment this morning.

OH will prepare 100 jars today ready for putting honey in them tomorrow! He has new labels too, so when I get back from the hairdresser tomorrow morning we will set up a production line.

Have a good day everyone.

Beechnut Tue 29-Oct-24 07:31:53

Good morning everyone from Essex. It’s mild and damp with broken cloud, fingers crossed we see some sun today.
Had two hospital appointments yesterday, pre op checks, I was exhausted when I finally got home at 6.30, but still had a disturbed night. Littlest granddaughter has croup and is quite poorly, they’re supposed to be going out today so I hope she’s better. bella I hope your little GS is better today. ash I hope you have a happy anniversary, even though you’re on your own! fgt I hope your DH’s scan & tests went well yesterday, he must have been exhausted after such a long day at the Christie. susan I hope you are able to have a quiet few days while your brother ‘holds the fort’ with your mum. brook I hope your DH’s cellulitis continues to improve, some years ago I was admitted to hospital with suspected sepsis, which was actually cellulitis.
Will go to garden centre today to get some more houseplant compost so I can repot some plants which are bursting out of their pots. Then have to sit with my friend with dementia as her DH has a hospital appointment. May try to fit in a short walk, depending on the weather.
I hope everyone ha# the best day possible.

RosesandLilac Tue 29-Oct-24 07:39:36

Good morning everyone from a damp corner of south Glos, and a very happy anniversary Ashcombe.
I hope it will dry up soon so I can do some tidying in the garden. I also have several loads of bedding to wash and dry.
DS and I wandered around with me digging up various plants for his garden and discussing what to plant where. He’s getting really keen which is heartwarming to me 🥰 I also picked them some apples and they left last night with the remains of a ratatouille pasta bake and a crumble so they didn’t have to cook when they got home (the DGCs are great travellers so have empty-ish tummies when in the car) It’s been so lovely having them.
I have to admit I am knackered! I don’t seem to have much stamina any more 😵‍💫, so I slept badly. I will have a very quiet day today.
I hope you all have a lovely day 🌹
