Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start to the day here in brackley this morning.
Today, intend to get bus to Bicester do a shop and hopefully see people I know.
Then have a easy day in .
Health wise slept in bed , felt OK and no incidents as to health during the night .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a cooler Bristol.
I have moved to my winter weight duvet but it is occasionally too warm.
I had dinner at DD’s, the girls were not terribly chatty, Iris especially rarely talks to me much. She made pudding, very well, but threw about three wobblies. She can’t cope with things going wrong, and had a tantrum rather than working her way through it.
DGD was taking me to Bath today for the day, it it seems that most of the trains from Bristol have problems today for some reason, so we’re having a day here with lunch out.Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all it’s windy and cold outside here on the east coast of Fife.
I had a great catch up with an old colleague of mine yesterday we had an afternoon tea in a lovely hotel by the sea, what went on the scones first, jam or cream it had to be jam then the clotted cream mmm delicious.
Today will be a relaxing day getting ready for the trick or treaters I’ve got their sweets ready but only if they entertain me.

Have a spooky evening my friends enjoy enjoy enjoy

Good morning from a cloudy but dry Torbay.

Pleased to see you’re able to post fully, grandMattie so presume pc is behaving. A difficult age and stage for Iris. A day out with your DD sounds ideal!

A poorly attended rehearsal last night was disappointing especially as it led to much standing around which doesn’t suit my ankle at all. Prior to that, Wednesday Club was most enjoyable with a talk from a lively new member from Canada about her early working years in her home country where she had met some famous performers.

I hope today will be a good day for everyone. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from s somerset, bland grey sky all day today

The weather is suiting me today, it means the sun won`t be difficult on my drive to and from wales.

I am knitting like the clappers, everyone wants a cosy hat made from beautiful thin corriedale wool and 3mm needles, lots of stitches as the hat is 2 layers with 4 layers over the ears. The new wooden circulars are much kinder on my fingers and I kept on until bedtime. It is addictive. I also did another hour of sewing and am making good progress

Another bit of offloading today to dd, some good things that I am passing on

Have a good day

Good morning from Malta where it is still warm and dry.

I was awake at crack of dawn just in case I was needed but all seems to be quiet on the western front so I’m assuming both boys are off to nursery.

I shall miss littlest, much as I don’t like him to be poorly, I do love being with him.

Must get up and strip the bed and get on with the jobs I’ve let slide this week.

Wishing everyone a good day.☀️

RosesandLilac Thu 31-Oct-24 06:29:24

Good morning from a foggy hillside in south Glos, it’s chilly too but dry.
DH had to use replacement buses yesterday grandMattie to get to Bristol, he was far from happy by the time he got home from the eye hospital and complained about very long queues for the buses/coaches 🙄 He seems to think everything is done to irritate him.
The dog and I had a lovely day, two very pleasant walks, and an afternoon sat knitting Dgs1’s socks. I thoroughly enjoyed my paella for lunch and I think will make a pizza today.
My new tapestry kit arrived so I will need to get my frames out and set it up- I hope I can find all the fixtures 🤞🏻
Have a lovely day 🌹

Good morning from a bright and soon to be hot and sunny Alicante. Last bits have been packed and we are off to drop the car off at the airport and then spend a happy couple of hours (not) waiting for our plane.

We hope to call in to see my SIL but will see if she feels up to it, there won’t be a funeral, but a day of memories in the garden, I’m assuming that will be next year? I’m sure it will all be easier to bear then, they had been together for nearly 60 yrs.

My cousins funeral has yet to be given a date.

Hope everyone who is poorly has an easier day today and May any worries diminish.

Have a good flight FGM with Himself.

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 31-Oct-24 06:40:19

Oops FGT I wrote. Urms then had to go back….

Good morning from Shropshire.A dull day forecast which like karmalady suits us as it will make the drive to the hospital easier.

A lovely day with the children yesterday the pumpkin carving kept them and grandpa entertained while I was at the solicitors. The solicitor was able to advise me on a couple of points that I hadn’t thought of but also reassure me that everything I have done regarding POA is correct and legal.

This morning we are meeting DD1 and the children in town DD and H are going to a meet the author and story event while we will take DGD to buy a new pen as she has now been awarded her pen licence at school. We will go to the hospital to see mum after lunch.

Safe travels karmalady.

Thoughts with all our missing posters and all struggling for whatever reasons💐

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from Durham, where it’s going to be a half-decent day again. Today, my cold is two weeks old - I’m sick of its company now!
Yesterday afternoon was a challenge with an upset tummy - no gory details needed, but ok (so far) this morning, and I should re-stock my Imodium!
I have a quiet day ahead with no definite plans - bliss.
Safe travels FGT2 and anyone else undertaking journeys.
Best wishes to all. X

Sar53 Thu 31-Oct-24 06:56:54

Good morning from the Essex coast. It's grey and chilly at the moment.
I'm going to Leamington this morning to see DD1 and the girls. I haven't seen them for months so very much looking forward to catching up with all their news.
I don't enjoy the journey, train, two tubes, train but I'll be there by 1'sh and DD1 and DGD4 will meet me at the station.
I think we are out with youngest early evening for Halloween, apparently the local houses are very 'spooky'.
Best wishes to all and enjoy your day xx

kittylester Thu 31-Oct-24 07:05:56

Good morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Lots of bitting and bobbing today then DH has an opticians appointment in a nearby village. I will drive him as parking is dreadful there at the moment due to road works.

Sainsbury's delivery later.

GrannyIvy Thu 31-Oct-24 07:07:20

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. Today I am off to have the stitches removed from my eyelids and then on to a Garden Centre nearby for a browse.
Hopefully a quick tidy around on the garden and rearrange some pots this afternoon. Then batten down the hatches it is Halloween 🎃 I am not a fan of strangers coming to my door trick and treating!
Hope everyone has a good day

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 31-Oct-24 07:13:03

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It is our monthly book group today. We will meet for lunch at the village cafe. I imagine it will be busier than usual because of half term. I have read so many books this month and will have to give a brief account of each of them.

Have a good day everyone and especially those with difficulties. It is good that FGT2 can jet off to Spain today!

GrannySomerset Thu 31-Oct-24 07:20:10

Very misty start to Halloween which feels appropriately spooky but assume it will clear as the morning wears on. Hairdresser first thing and then U3A book group to discuss Sheila Hancock’s memoir Old Rage, interesting and opinionated and very well written though inevitably a bit luvvie. Need to shop for DD and DSiL’s arrival tomorrow afternoon but have yet to decide what we will eat so am hoping for inspiration.

ginny Thu 31-Oct-24 07:22:58

Good morning from N. Bucks.
Haven’t looked outside yet but I think it is dry and dull.
I have an appointment for a blood test, luckily I only have to walk a few minutes down the road for that.
I shall bake the Christmas cake that was mixed yesterday and make some marigold soup. Yesterday I made Pea & mint. We shall eat some for lunch and freeze the rest.
Lots of sorting and tidying to do in my craft room and lots of projects to finish off .
A good day wished for all.

Good morning from Edinburgh Airport.

I’ll be boarding shortly for my flight to Dublin. After leaving my bag at my hotel I’m going to have a wander by myself and probably have lunch along the way.

DD will arrive later this afternoon and we will go over to my Uncle’s house where he is reposing until we leave for the church tomorrow morning.

I’ve left many bags of Halloween treats for DH to hand out this evening, hope he copes.

Have the best day possible everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 31-Oct-24 07:27:29

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s raining so I think we’ll fly off t’other apartment in Málaga! 😁 Wall-to-wall sunshine is forecast there from Saturday onwards. That’ll do nicely. To be honest after the anxieties we’ve had the last few days we are more than ready to enjoy some R&R in our ‘happy place’. 2 weeks there will be just the ticket.

Redcar Thu 31-Oct-24 07:28:38

Good morning from Essex. It’s grey again, seemed mild out when I got the milk in, but the heating has been on and the radiators are hot, so obviously not very mild!
Went for a short walk yesterday, then made some phone calls re insurance. Called in to both DDs, taking Halloween treats for the granddaughters who will be out trick or treating this evening. Did a load of washing, so have a pile of ironing to do today.
sar I hope your journey to Leamington goes smoothly and you have good time with your DD1 and family.
Safe travels to all on the move today and thoughts to all who have worries and anxieties of any kind.
Have the best day possible everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 31-Oct-24 07:34:05

Oops ha! 🤣

brook2704 Thu 31-Oct-24 07:36:50

Good morning everyone from Inverness where the sky looks a gorgeous shade of pink and a dry day is forecast
Baubles 💐
Pleased to hear you’re feeling a bit better this morning Georgesgran
I’m off to DD2s this morning, there’s another house viewing this afternoon so a quick tidy up is needed. I’m not holding out much hope again, the estate agent seems to give her false hope with the assurance of offers but nothing actually materialising.
Safe travels Oops, Sar53, fgt and everyone on the move today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

NannyJan53 Thu 31-Oct-24 07:44:01

Good morning from a dull and damp Black Country.

A day yesterday of Admin, and sorting some more clothes for Charity Shop.

Walking group walk this morning. Then off to Birmingham this afternoon to check into Hotel, ready for seeing a George Michael tribute tonight. Have to travel on the bus as there is no trains between here and there till Friday.

After breakfast in the Hotel tomorrow, arrive home, then off out to meet the family for lunch at 1pm. DD, DS and 3 of the DGD's. One will be working. So no evening meal cooking tomorrow either.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

luluaugust Thu 31-Oct-24 07:53:30

Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. Off to art group this morning and an afternoon baking as DB is coming for a couple of nights. Good catch up with DF yesterday, she is permanently busy with all her AC and GC living nearby.
Safe travels FGT.
Enjoy your day out gM
Best wishes

Gingster Thu 31-Oct-24 07:53:52

Good morning all and it’s rather gret here in Essex.

We’re heading up to our Suffolk bolt hole soon and will stay just a few days. My book club is this evening and it will be good to catchup with the others who I haven’t seen for a couple of months. I’m sure sure if we’ll be there before Christmas as we (I) have lots going on back here in Essex.

Safe journeys to all travellers.
