Today , usual bus trip to Bicester do a shop and hopefully talk some people I know.
The health front , still a big weight compared to what I have been prior to having surgery.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where it is 8°C.

Welcome, rocketstop. Are you a new poster?

Pants, your father really is an intrepid traveller, Good for him!

I have nothing much to report. After my Sainsbury's trip, I did very little apart from make soup. My chest is very congested and the east of a cough has reawakend, I have little energy to do much.

Today, I was supposed to drive DD and SIL to a wedding in The House Of An Art Lover, ( I love all things Ronnie Macintosh) but was relieved to hear last night that they were getting a lift from friends. I am happy to do nothing today, apart from fulfil DH's request for traditional steak pie for tomorrow's dinner.
Vigil Mass tonight, I wonder what disasters await!

I received an unexpected call from Dollie on her smart watch last night, to tell me that she was missing me.. 💕 What a boost! She proceeded to tell me that were in for a surprise on Thursday. A small person ( Babydoll) might be coming with us to meet her at school pick up time next week. She was so innocent, that it hadn't clicked that DH and I already knew that that we were doing the school runs and also looking after Babydoll. 😂 She thought she knew before us.

Safe journey home Baubles, lovely for you to see your brother, despite the sad circumstances.

Safe journey to all who are struggling and hugs for all our poorlies. Have a good Saturday, folks.

Good morning from a grey NE after overnight rain.
Yesterday I got all the washing and ironing done.
DD rang from Brussels and we chatted for an hour, she was at home as it was a public holiday. This weekend she is going to stay in the zoo with her DH, they have opted for the penguin house. I am not sure I would like to wake up to animals watching me but each to their own 🐧🐧🐧🐧
Don't think any family are visiting today so TV and book will fill the day.
Have a good weekend.

Is Ronnie Rennie’s brother MD? Blooming predictive text 😂

Good morning everyone from Málaga. We heard rain on our balcony railings at 6am but it didn’t last long and we soon went back to sleep. The BBC website (no Alexa here, I might buy a dot) says fat sunshine’s from 2pm so I think we’ll enjoy a brunch at home, read and potter till then and go out somewhere. At this time of year it’s gorgeous in the sun but around 5pm when it dips it can get a bit cooler (natch).

I took this photo from our front door yesterday teatime. It’s a residential area as you can see. From our balcony we look at the Mediterranean. I like both views very much.

Good morning all and the sky is brightening a little after a drizzly start. The sea looks grey and choppy.
Dh is out getting the paper and a baguette for breakfast.
He’ll go to footie this afternoon and I’ll read by new book club offer.

I’ll walk the dog along the beach and blow away the cobwebs,
Pull down the cardoons and tomato plants and have a general tidy up.

Take care all and have a good day. 🌻🍁

Good morning everyone from a very dank and grey Northampton, set to stay like this all day.

Had a good day yesterday, enjoying coffee and scones with dancing friends, and then in the evening out at a rugby match, which we won with panache and style! All the better as it was against our arch-rivals, Leicester Tigers! England/New Zealand match to watch today on tv, some of our Saints boys in the team.

My new rotary washing line arrived yesterday; think I will give DS a call and see if he has a few hours one day to put it up for me.

A hop on the bus today to the shops for my top-up shop; shall have a coffee and a bite to eat. Thinking of taking my summer duvet into Timpsons to be laundered.

Wishing all a pleasant Saturday.

🤣🤣🤣. Marydoll predictive text can never understand that sometimes it's wrong!.
If I had posted before reading I'd be saying it was a misty, dank grey morning on the Angus coast, but the mist has lifted and there's blue sky discernible. I'm going to have to dash now, having spent so long reading all the posts on here and having a couple of family WhatsApp conversations at the same time. Loving the photos on here this morning - what a beautiful country we live in! (Spain's not bad either FGT 😉).
Off to feed a clammering of sparrows before getting the day properly in motion. Enjoy your days everyone, and if peace and quiet to recover from whatever ails then I wish it for you x flowers

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast and a problem for me with Gransnet this morning 🤔

Not much to report as I’m still taking it easy, nearly three weeks after my op. Sounds nice reading and watching tv, but it gets boring. I watched The Return of Mary Poppins yesterday, too long and boring. I’m eating more though which is a good sign. DD gave me a hot water bottle on a Velcro belt, which is a comfort on my poor stomach.

DD has returned to the south and I will write to my housebound BIL today, phone conversations not satisfactory and I like writing letters, prefer it to the phone.
Thoughts to Baubles Susan and enjoy your trip FGT 🌺

Morning Mick, morning All. Another grey day ahead for our corner of Somerset.

Enjoyed my volunteer stint yesterday morning, skipped TaiChi as too exhausted after several nights of little sleep. Much better last night though, hoping it’s the beginning of a better pattern.

Off to tackle some admin then maybe wander out for some lunch. It’s a wait and see day here

Good to see photos of blue skies, thoughts are with everyone dealing with challenges, a hope Saturday is kind to us all

Good morning from a dull Co Armagh, several short visits expected today , I’d better move the dust about and clear a chair or three ,

A very late morning all from a beautifully autumnal West Oxfordshire.

Actually I’ve been up for ages. Son made pancakes and then I helped them pack as they had to be away by 10 am. Granddaughter is having a skiing lesson. She told me that she doesn’t like skiing!

I’m not sure about the rest of the day. There is to be an interment of ashes after lunch for a WI member. I attended her funeral but I think this might be more of a family thing. Her ashes are being placed with her parents’.

I had a lovely talk with younger son yesterday. It’s always good to hear what’s happening in the world of government! Obviously he can’t tell me everything or he would be in trouble.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all of you!

It's 12.2C here in little Appleby.

I really didn't want to go to work last night from 6pm to 6am as the ratbagapause ...I mean menopause had kept me awake for hours again with my whole body from top to toe feeling twisted and knotted, leg and foot cramps etc., was doubled up with it but still did a 12 hour shift! I've been guzzling Monster Ultra for energy!

Unfortunately one of our lovely residents fell over, thankfully she didn't hurt herself but she's on the heavy side so as I was helping her up with the help of other colleagues my guts banged as I was bending down to her and I accidentally let out a huge burp! As I was apologizing profusely thankfully the lady and my colleagues saw the funny side of it!

I am indeed a weirdo!

I bought myself a gorgeous little felted Robin from a local shop and called her Twinkle who is now sitting on my work's desk next to my laptop as a lucky charm!
