Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley this morning .
Hopefully today , I will do the bus trip to Bicester ,and meet others I know.
Health wise a little better ,and will do my usual routine as well.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and dry.
Yesterday was another busy day. I went to Aldi for food and made a lasagne for dinner. Dd popped in with the boys and nipped to Aldi while they stayed with me. It was lovely to see them. Later I visited mum who managed a chat.
Today is early childcare day. School drop off then playgroup drop off and I'll do the ironing while dgs2 is at playgroup. Then I'll pick up dgs1 from school later. He's eating for Scotland at the moment and both boys are going through a growth spurt. I'll have the other half of the lasagne for dinner with salad and garlic bread. Have a good day.

Good morning from Bristol. Haven’t looked out but probably mild and dry.
Mick, GET PROFESSIONAL ADVICE NOW.
Quiet day yesterday - had chat after after-service coffee re. the FAB cafe I’m going to be hosting for Age UK in the church. We need a variety of things and a lot of clarification.
Getting on well with my quilt assembly, and made a pretty Christmas runner for sale in church for MSF In a fortnight.
Same again today, with a spot of dust rearrangement and a trip to Tesco.
I hope your fingers were sufficiently nimble yesterday, Ash; I’m in awe of anyone who can read music and play a musical instrument.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where it’s another day of sun and 25°C. Yes, FGT, I think the weather here is very similar to your happy place.😎

This time 18 yeas ago I was boarding a flight to Scotland to see my very poorly sister. Sadly, she died as I was en route. She was only 54 and I feel so sad that she missed out on so much. She has four grandchildren (and a fifth expected soon) and would have been an amazing grandmother. 😞

A friend has invited me to meet for coffee this morning so that will cheer me up and stop me wallowing. I try to be a positive person but sometimes things just bring me down.

Wishing everyone a good day.☀️

Good morning all it’s a cold dark and dry day here on the east coast of Fife. I’m contemplating what I’ll be doing today yesterday was very busy, I do know I’ll be having rice crispies tea and buttered toast with marmalade for breakfast after my shower.

Have a good day all those who’s birthday it is today have a good one 🎉🎉🎂🎂💐💐🎁🎁🥂🥂

RosesandLilac Mon 04-Nov-24 06:26:39

Good morning from south Glos where, apart from being dark, I have no idea what it’s like outside!
A grotty afternoon yesterday, ending up in bed with hot water bottles, painkillers and a miserable me 😵‍💫 My IBS has never been this bad before, luckily it seems to be easing this morning 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Anyway, Tesco cancelled my delivery for some obscure reason so I need to set up another but beyond that I have nothing planned for today. DH will walk the dog and he can fend for himself if needs be.
Have a good day everyone 🌹

Greyduster Mon 04-Nov-24 06:27:25

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark in South Yorkshire. Today is my birthday. I went out yesterday evening with DD and the menfolk and had a lovely, if not very healthy, dinner! They gave me some lovely presents including a day on a print making course which I’m greatly looking forward to.
Early this morning I will phone the heating engineer again and see if we can finally get to the bottom of the boiler woes, and chase up the surgery to find out why my repeat prescription has not turned up. But before that, I have coffee, biscuits and J.S. Bach. Bliss.
Bellasnana💐
Have th best day you can folks.

Good morning from Torbay where it’s dry but breezy.

The service at church went well and people seemed to enjoy my playing. grandMattie. I began to learn to play the piano when I was eight years old after a teacher in school commented on how quickly I had picked up learning to play the recorder. The skill has served me well in my teaching career but I didn’t expect to still be playing at 74!

The rehearsal went well, considering two principal characters are ill, one of whom is in hospital following a serious asthma attack! My other theatre (Props) friend whom I mentioned several weeks ago is still lingering in hospital, brighter some days and uplifted by her son's recent arrival from China.

Your sadness as you recall such poignant memories of your sister is understandable, Bellasnana. I'm sure your friend will offer you the kindly support that you display to others at such times.

Move It or Lose It today at a different venue which will be interesting…..!

Have a good week, if possible. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Happy birthday, gduster 🎂

Mizuna Mon 04-Nov-24 06:34:50

Good morning from an overcast, very still Cornwall where I'm on my patio swing seat in my Dry Robe, with a coffee, awaiting the dawn. A day at the allotment, probably, with lots of sorting and clearing to do.

Good morning from still dark Wiltshire.

DS came for a late lunch yesterday with his family. So lovely to see them all. They brought their delightful goldendoodle. DGD2 is getting enthusiastic about boulder climbing, a variation of a climbing wall but done without harnesses. The video made me feel 🫣. I made a large moussaka with cheesecake to follow.

All day childcare for DGS2 today. We will take him to the Christmas display at Whitehalls. Hope the other child carers have an easy day.

I feel very sad for you Bellasnana. Such a young age for your sister to have gone from your lives. 💐

Have a good Monday everyone.

karmalady Mon 04-Nov-24 06:55:29

Good morning from s somerset, going to be an overcast and horribly damp day, again

I must say that I am glad to have an outdoor project Mizuna, the weather is so bleak, it gets me out, I suppose the reason why I wanted an allotment plus I am already meeting a few more people and certainly adding strength to my muscles

That is my purpose for today, out to the allotment but being very careful to not carry-on straining my tender right fingers. and I feel a light aching in my right hip this morning. I will be going there today but will be doing more with my left hand and foot. I have an inverter at home (teeter) and need to re-start using that to straighten my spine and lengthen my bones. I used it a lot in the past, this one is a newer one

Have a good day

brook2704 Mon 04-Nov-24 07:02:39

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s just getting light and a dry day is forecast
A sad day Bellas, so young
We’ve got DGS here, he stayed over last night so it’s the school run first thing and then back home to tackle the laundry and hopefully some gardening. He’s still asleep but I’m expecting to hear his bedroom door creak open any minute
A very Happy Birthday greyduster enjoy your day and good to hear you celebrated with dinner out yesterday 💐🥂🎂
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

GrannyGravy13 Mon 04-Nov-24 07:12:41

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
My post op recovery continues. Drove out yesterday for walk around the park and picked up soft food I might fancy. Meal last night, a fish cake and mashed swede and carrot followed by chocolate mousse. I should start putting some weight back on.
Another quiet day today.

Birthday greetings Greyduster, thought to Bella and all with worries 🌺

Marydoll Mon 04-Nov-24 07:17:14

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 10°C.

Birthday greetings, Greyduster
A busy and long day at Church yesterday, then I came home and fell promptly asleep! I am so tired these days and can do little.
My craft room badly heeds tidied up and it is annoying me..

DH is golfing and I am on a mission to buy toilet rolls for church. Such an exciting life I lead. None of the cleaners thought to say that there were none. People think the fairies provide these things.

Bellasnana, such a poignant time for you. 💐

Roses, I hope your discomfort eases. 💐

Enjoy your day folks, what ever your plans.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 04-Nov-24 07:18:00

Good morning everyone from Málaga. It’s not sunny yet but is forecast for later. I’m sat in bed with my mug of tea reading the newspapers. We have no plans but will probably just stay local again. See how the day unfolds. 😊

The Boy Wonder, L’il Miss and their mum all return to their schools in Trafford today. Half term is over.

BlueSapphire Mon 04-Nov-24 07:22:35

Good morning everyone from a very overcast and grey Northampton, set to remain so all day.

Out to yoga first thing, but have to leave earlier to get the bus as the friend who gives me a lift is not well today. Then afterwards to the little cafe for a coffee. Nothing much planned for this afternoon, so will probably catch up with.yesterday's paper.

Very much enjoyed Phantom of the Opera at the cinema yesterday, the first time I'd ever seen it all the way through. Wonderful singing, and the sets were really good.

Have a good Monday everyone.

baubles Mon 04-Nov-24 07:24:56

Good morning from wet South Lanarkshire.

I’m grateful to be back in my own bed, I was so tired last night after looking after the DGCs overnight on Saturday. Unfortunately the eldest was very sick throughout the night so we had a very disturbed night. The poor soul was very brave and was beginning to look better by the time we left late afternoon yesterday. I suspect the others will also come down with whatever nasty virus caused it but fingers crossed we’ll escape.

How sad Bellasnana. flowers

Happy birthday Greyduster.

Today will be a quiet one in this house, a little tidying and crocheting will be the size of it I think.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Redcar Mon 04-Nov-24 07:25:02

Good morning everyone from a grey, dry and mild Essex. So fed up with these grey skies.
Happy birthday greyduster.
A sad day for you bellasnana.
dD2 came yesterday and did a few little chores for me, things that I can’t reach any more! Littlest was still clingy after her bout of croup. Hope she goes in to nursery ok today!
One of my smoke detectors is misbehaving at the moment so I must contact the electrician who installed it 6 weeks ago to see if he can sort it out.
Podiatrist this morning, otherwise a day of sorting out what to take to DD1s when I go there after my hip operation.
mizuna and karma enjoy your allotments today - don’t do too much strenuous work!
Have the best day possible everyone.

luluaugust Mon 04-Nov-24 07:28:17

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s a grey, gloomy Eeyore day for our corner of Somerset.

Caught up with a lot yesterday and can now see the guest room is actually a bedroom. I’m off to meet a friend today in the cafe grandmattie mentioned recently, 90 minutes each way but worth it. We’ll have coffee, lunch and the world will be properly put to rights. Mr C tells me he plans to touch up the emulsion in the hall then battle with his current jigsaw, he’ll be happy.

Look after yourself bellasnana flowers. Some days are hard.

A very happy birthday greyd. Is there cake? Birthdays aren’t about eating healthily smile. 🎈🍷🎂

Best get a wriggle on. Have the best day you can everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 04-Nov-24 07:38:52

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Happy birthday Greyduster🥳

Our cleaner is due this morning and I’ll go to Waitrose. After lunch I’ll pop over the road for coffee with my friend.

Yesterday I saw my friend who is us off for her hip replacement tomorrow and her OH who fell flat on his face the other day. He is much improved.

My father would have been 95 today. He died at 48, on the golf course at Turnberry. Another thread talks about missing loved ones. I certainly miss my father, even after all this time.

Have a good day everyone.
