Hi looking for soft leggings for a large lady or some sort of comfy trousers or joggers

M&S do larger sizes online I think.Surely Evans online if it exists will do them? Online retailer ‘Yours’ does very large sizes I’ve noticed.

These are comfy, stretchy, not like baggy joggers at all. I can recommend them. They do need pulling down when damp after washing!

Yours clothing is very good for larger sizes, or Snag Tights do great leggings too. However, I've also had very good larger sized leggings from some of the supermarket ranges and also from Primark.

Snag and Lovall have a large selection , different lengths too.

Another vote for Yours .
It's not a frilly shop .
The staff are very helpful .
It isn't that cheap , but their clothes fit .

I've found Sainsburys' "Tu" range to be comfortable, hard-wearing and affordable. They go up to size 26 in many styles. I always buy "in store" because I like to see/feel the clothes, but I think you can buy quite a lot of the "Tu" range online.

With all due respect, that's not what the OP asked. And as a 'larger lady', I will wear whatever I choose to wear. Less of the fat shaming, please!

How rude kircubbin
Be kind obviously bypassed you.

I’m a size 12 was very grateful for the recommendation Allira but all sizes out of stock. 🙁 I’ll keep trying though.

I'm a fan of Lands End Women's Starfish Straight Leg Stretch Jersey Trousers. They come in a Plus size up to 28-30 and are mainly cotton. There's room for thermals underneath in winter. Other styles appear in the Starfish range.

I find them soft and very comfortable.

They do if you wear a long sweater or tunic over the top.

Elusivebutterfly Sun 17-Nov-24 16:34:39

I agree with Allira on the M&S trousers. I have several pairs and find them both comfortable and smart. I expect they will soon be back in stock.
M&S heatgen thermal leggings are also soft and comfortable.

I bought two pairs last year and they were out of stock a little while ago but managed to order some last week but I am no longer a size 12

They're so popular I'm sure they'll e back in tock soon.

An unnecessary comment, as it depends what you wear with them. Anyway, Grannybiz requested recommendations, not advice on how larger ladies should dress.

NotSpaghetti Sun 17-Nov-24 18:47:01

I am a "larger" size and like fine leggings in winter under dresses instead of tights.

They can be dressed-up or be quite casual.

watermeadow Sun 17-Nov-24 20:49:22

When leggings arrived my daughter said, ‘Remember they are a substitute for tights, not for trousers’
Too many women, not all large, wear leggings which show exactly as much of them as tights would.

Farzanah Sun 17-Nov-24 20:55:10

I live in M&S jeggings. Super comfortable and this year cord ones too. Several lengths.

Redrobin51 Sun 17-Nov-24 21:12:36

My friend always buys the M & S ones.

Another wholly unnecessary comment.

Lovall do a wide range of sizes and their leggings are good quality and very stretchy. Their everyday ones are high waisted, too, which can be a lot more comfortable for those with a tummy.

I came across this website, was a bit sceptical but reviews from larger ladies persuaded me to order. Glad I did, great leggings, comfy and plenty of designs.
Would highly recommend

I recently bought some from Llama. I prefer cotton leggings and Llama are synthetic but I wanted some to put on for special occasions that aren’t wrinkly round the knees. As my weight and size fluctuate all the time they’re perfect as they go from 8-12 and then 14+ I’ve got a pair in each size so they cover me for any weight gain or loss!
