Hi looking for soft leggings for a large lady or some sort of comfy trousers or joggers

Leggings are really unforgiving unfortunately as they are really comfortable.
I think it’s rather sad some of the sights you see out in leggings with short tops and you wish they had a mirror at home.
Poster ducks for cover but it is just my opinion !
I would never wear them which I regret but I have lumps and bumps and not enough confidence to carry them off.

Leggings do mot look good on larger ladies.

I have lipoedema, which means my legs, particularly my thighs, and bottom are large. I find that long tunic tops and cardigans over black leggings are a very flattering look. I agree that a waist or hip length jumper with leggings can look dreadful - on anyone of any age or size. It makes them look half dressed. However, when teamed with appropriate length clothing, they can look good on anyone.

Also, many ladies become apple shaped as they get older. This very often means that they have slender legs. A long jumper over leggings can look very nice on these ladies.

Whilst the leggings may be comfortable - I have a big bottom and don't think they look good on me. Personally, I think only those who are very slim look good in leggings UNLESS you wear them under a long tunic to cover the bum

There are various ways to wear leggings. Me, I wear them instead of tights, with dresses of whatever length. With same-colour socks and either shoes or boots they look fine on any size. Try not to be judgy.

I’ve just been buying leggings, so I’m in the know! I like Carolina Dress Room, very soft and comfy, but loose, more like pyjamas. Seasalt are also great, very cotton rich and comfy, but pricey. Yours (now includes M&Co) are great for basic black/navy- true to size. Being larger myself (size 20), I usually go up a size in leggings for a smoother, sleeker, less squashed sausagey look. Also, check out Vinted first - loads of brand new leggings on there at bargain prices - people change their mind, or miss the return window. I always look there first once I’ve decided on colour and brand.

When leggings arrived my daughter said, ‘Remember they are a substitute for tights, not for trousers’
Too many women, not all large, wear leggings which show exactly as much of them as tights would.

What a prig! I’d have invited her to mind her own business. Daughter or not.

Ive bought 3 pairs of these and they are lovely soft and comfortable - wear with tunics. Only go up to 20 so dont know if that is large enough.

I’ve bought those. They are lovely.
