It’s taken me up to now to access GN today and I can’t find any sign of Mick’s thread for today.
Anyone else having a problem?

Georgesgran Wed 20-Nov-24 11:48:51

Morning!! Fat fingers.

Marydoll Wed 20-Nov-24 11:50:36

GN has just come back online.
I was toying with starting the Good Morning thread, but did not want to seem as we would call it in school, a bold piece!.😁

Jaxjacky Wed 20-Nov-24 11:51:51

I think the whole site was down Georgesgran
Sunny here in S Hants after a heavy frost, 4 degrees.
Bedding in machine, just about to make 7 lots of stuffing for you know what 🎄

Beechnut Wed 20-Nov-24 11:52:08

My fingers aren’t fat 😂
Good morning Georgesgran
I googled is Gransnet down earlier and it said it was
I expect Mick has gone out on his morning trip.

RosesandLilac Wed 20-Nov-24 11:53:50

I thought I’d broken the site as it went poof! as soon as I posted my Wordle result just before 6 🫣
(And no, it wasn’t a brilliant done-in-one!)

hollysteers Wed 20-Nov-24 11:53:51

Good morning all from 5°C Sunnyside northwest coast. Couldn’t log in today, no idea why.

I intended to go to my usual lunchtime recital today, but dicky tummy and have probably overdone it a bit after my op’, going as usual to the music club yesterday and feeling strange, or rather stranger…😁

Thoughts to all and hope Mizunas’ trip up here is working out well🌺

Thank you - I thought it was just me. I’ve had internet problems for months, changed providers and been locked out of Hotmail since September!

You could start a Good Afternoon thread MD 😂

JenniferEccles Wed 20-Nov-24 11:54:16

I expect Mick is on his bus travels now !
I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if someone else started it today.

Marydoll Wed 20-Nov-24 11:56:30

So, good morning from Glasgow, bright sunshine, but absolutely baltic!

Babydoll 🥰has croup and is on steroids. (heaven help us), so all my plans have gone to pot!

I am being subjected by the fouls language from the builders on the roof next door, I hope she doesn't mimic them!
I would say something, but don't want to fall out with the in laws next door!

Stay safe all.

RosesandLilac Wed 20-Nov-24 11:56:41

‘Tis blooming cold here but bright sunshine after an icy start. The dog and I enjoyed our early walk through the remains of yesterday’s snow but a bitingly cold wind made me glad I’d wrapped up well 🥶
I’ve spent the mourning doing housework and laundry, the log burner is lit and all’s well here, hope it is with you all too 🌹

Greyduster Wed 20-Nov-24 11:59:00

Oh hello! I’m sure Mick, like the rest of us, has been trying intermittently to kick start our day. I must say I got quite a lot done this morning - there was nothing to stay in bed for! Off this afternoon to a family occasion.
Have a decent day, folks and stay warm.

Redcar Wed 20-Nov-24 12:04:05

Hooray, gransnet is back! Hello from Essex, lovely and sunny but definitely cold! I had thought of going outside for my walk today, but decided not to bother! Will carry on wearing out the carpet in the hall by just walking along it, building up the number of times I do it.
Poor*babydoll*, littlest had croup during half term week and had steroids. Didn’t help much.
I hope everyone has the best day possible, keep warm and stay safe!

GrandmaC47 Wed 20-Nov-24 12:05:00

Glad we’re all back. 👏

JenniferEccles Wed 20-Nov-24 12:07:46

It’s surprising how much I missed reading the Good Morning thread, even though I only contribute occasionally.

EkwaNimitee Wed 20-Nov-24 12:16:40

Good morning/afternoon everyone, finally!
Yes, down all morning, a problem at GN’s end apparently.
-4C here during the night and still freezing though brilliantly sunny. Much nicer than gales and rain.

I have been cleaning and admin-ing so now for a peaceful afternoon reading.
Have a pleasant rest of day all of you.

Thorntrees Wed 20-Nov-24 12:32:51

Thank goodness Gransnet is back.
Don’t post much but love reading about everyone’s doings.
Keep safe in the snow- lots here in Shropshire- and hope everyone has a nice day.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 20-Nov-24 12:36:03

It is freezing here in S E Essex, just got back from the gym.

Will have a latte and catch up with GN 🙋‍♀️

karmalady Wed 20-Nov-24 12:39:03

Me too, I could not get onto GN. Nice and sunny today and good day to all

Full morning so far, I now know how many are coming next week. Several on and off over 3 days.. Meal planning is in full throttle.

I did 30 mins on my plot earlier, just an essential bed covering and brought my wheel barrow and a few tools and all my dirty gloves home, all washed now. I hated the manure all over everything

New cheaper wheelbarrow is in bits in my hall, ds will be pleased if I give give him something practical to do for me

This afternoon, I will carry on pottering in the house, bit by bit, I will catch up after being allotment-focused. Not pushing myself now and will get on with some knitting too

Hoping you all get a bit of the essential sun

GrannySomerset Wed 20-Nov-24 12:39:25

Glad to know that GN is back on a very cold day when trawling through other people’s contributions would have been a nice way to spend/waste time.

Mollygo Wed 20-Nov-24 12:43:24

That was weird. I rarely contribute, but missed reading this morning. Bright sunshine here but very cold. I’ve just bought DH a woolly hat -and guess what? It’s so cold, he wore it when we walked our dog along the estuary!

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 20-Nov-24 12:46:22

Good afternoon from a cold and icy Oxfordshire. The snow didn’t settle yesterday after all.

Day 2 of the bathroom refit, no water at the moment but we have heating, tomorrow the electrician arrives so we won’t even have that. Very noisy and I could have done with looking through the GN posts, but better late then never.

Everywhere is covered in a fine layer of dust, so no point in any housework, I have opened a box of Christmas chocs ( well what else could I do??) and I have books on my kindle, MrOops is at our daughters house, so I will settle down in the sunshine and relax…….

Have a good ‘rest of the day’ everyone.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 20-Nov-24 12:47:42

Oops day 3 of the refit.

I think it might take more than the week the chap first said as they all looked horrified this morning when I mentioned it!

Feelingmyage55 Wed 20-Nov-24 12:51:12

Good day. I thought my internet was the problem. Minus 4 overnight here and a sparkling frost on everything especially the rowan berries. Very beautiful.
Delighted to read good news from FGT.
Croup is awful. Sleepless nights and worrying days. Tonsillectomy solved the problem after all too many issues.
I had a lovely birthday meal out with family in our local hotel, at a table in front of the wood burner.
Bellasnana Did you stay up for the tennis? So exciting, worth going short of sleep.
Have the best afternoon you can everyone.

I was told the server wasn’t responding…
Too busy to post but glad it’s working now.
