Good morning from Bristol. It rained last night, but I think it’s stopped.
Successful visit at the solicitors’, then goos Singles meeting in the afternoon.
I stir fried some veges for dinner before rushing off to a PCC meeting. These are mercifully only about an hour long, but did mean that I lost the finale of GGBO!
My phone has suddenly decided that it would send emails after over a month of not doing so. Can’t explain it except perhaps a gremlin?
Today - morning prayers and then FAB cafe.
Hope all is/stays well with you. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all. It’s still dark and wet in Glasgow too Michael. Hopefully another day like yesterday, dry and milder if the forecast has got it right.

My visit to a physio yesterday confirmed I have sciatica. I am on strong pain relief and resemble the elderly granny on road signs, hobbling around. One exercise to do every hour and I set my phone alarm to remind me forgetting the fact I was going shopping, my bag buzzed on the hour. The middle of M&S is not the place to suddenly start exercising. 😂

Being a fairly pleasant day I enjoyed spending some time in the garden, my preference rather than shopping which I don’t enjoy, especially when I return home empty handed so shopping was done online in my cosy garden room.

Best wishes to all for a good day and a better day for those with worries and struggles to cope with.

Good morning, I think it’s still raining.

Been awake since 2.15, having to go upstairs to the spare loo at night wakes me up, I banged my big toe last week on my way upstairs and it’s throbbing, I’ll have to see if I can bend over far enough later and see what’s going on, strong glasses and maybe a magnifying glass will be needed!

The 6th fixture for the bathroom was delivered yesterday, and returned. The 6th item that has been incorrect, you couldn’t make it up really. So the bathroom is now going to take just over 3 weeks as we lost the Electrician and the tiler due to us not being ready, to say MrOops was annoyed was putting it mildly.
The fitters are playing Hart radio ‘ Christmas’ all day and singing along to the Christmas songs. I shut myself in the sitting room to escape, they are very nice lads but they overestimate their vocal ability! The spare loo is causing us problems, I’ll have to ask them nicely to have a look at it.

Apart from that another day with my Kindle or a new jigsaw.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry if you can.

Good morning everyone from a damp Yorkshire. Tidying and sorting today while husband finishes the decorating ready for our new carpet on Tuesday. Looking forward to getting everything back where it belongs as we have stuff everywhere at the moment. Have as lovely a day as you can. Take care.

Phone troubles here too GM. I can receive text messages but for whatever reason, can’t reply. Time to google what to do to resolve this, if not, a call to Apple. Technology is wonderful when it works!

LaCrepescule Wed 27-Nov-24 06:07:34

Good morning from St Albans. I woke at 4am 🙁 and couldn’t get back to sleep because of the rain hammering down on the Velux window (I’m in the loft.)
Meeting friends later, then cooking dinner for daughter and her dad (my ex).
We’re a happy little trio and it’s a weekly event that I look forward to. They love my cooking and it’s chilli tonight.
I’ll be tired though because of such a poor night’s sleep - wish I could get on top of this insomnia!

Bellasnana Wed 27-Nov-24 06:51:16

Good morning from Malta where we have another warm day wth a chance of showers.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so I took myself for a long walk along the seafront. Tourists are in their summer attire of shorts and t shirts. It was hot in the sun and I stopped for a coffee and fizzy water before continuing.

The boys came over in the afternoon, what joy to see those dear little faces at the door. They proudly handed me some lettuce they had grown at nursery. I had some in my tuna sandwich and it was very good!

I’m fighting a sore throat so not sure what I will do today.

So sorry you are in such pain Kalu. I hope the pills give some relief.

Oops you must be tearing your hair out. It’s torture having work done but just think how lovely it will be when it’s all done and dusted (several times!)

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning all from North Leicestershire. It is pouring here and very noisy on our velux too.

Our cleaner will be here at 9 and DH is off to the gym. When he gets back we are going to finish the Christmas shopping. Ha ha.

This afternoon we are collecting lots of empty card board boxes from a friend who has has a shop and delivering them to DD3's school where she is aiming to recreate Bethlehem for their nativity.

Have the best day possible everyone.

karmalady Wed 27-Nov-24 06:54:17

Good morning from s somerset, might be dry today

It was lovely to be on the plot yesterday, I met some nice people in passing and just pottered all day in the sun. Home earlier than normal and bumbling around, making food and tidying.

A tip run first, rotten pallet wood fence that blew down. Half to the tip today and I have to carry on sawing the rest to get it into my capacious carry bag, only what I can carry at a time.

No appointments so I will do whatever takes my fancy

Have a good day

RosesandLilac Wed 27-Nov-24 07:05:38

Good morning, it’s a wet Wednesday morning here in south Glos.
Yesterday DH returned the sleep monitor to the hospital for me, I certainly hope I don’t need to repeat that experience! The morning was spent doing housework and cleaning then a quiet afternoon doing not a lot.
Nothing special planned for today, the dog and I will enjoy our morning walk and there’s a log delivery booked for later.
Take care everyone 🌹

Mizuna Wed 27-Nov-24 07:14:42

Good morning from a dry, very still Cornwall. Will venture out on to my patio in a minute and see if the wind created any havoc while I was away. A really good train journey yesterday with only a couple of changes. The nine hours went quickly. Today I'm on the school run for my youngest grandchildren, a bus ride away, and will stay for tea at theirs which my son will cook.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 27-Nov-24 07:18:57

Morning everyone from a wet corner of S E Essex.

I shall start putting the Christmas bedding on all beds today, apart from ours which will be done the week before Christmas (I change our bed weekly, my luxury would be to have clean crisp bedding every night).

Then it’s gym and a pedicure.

I really must sort out all the Christmas gifts and see what remains to be sourced /ordered.

Kalu I feel your pain, I attend a parents evening whilst on strong pain killers for sciatica, only to get a sarcastic letter from the school asking me not to turn up drunk I was mortified, as was the headteacher when I rang to explain. I haven’t touched cocodamol since 🫣

🙋‍♀️

Greyduster Wed 27-Nov-24 07:27:15

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very wet South Yorkshire. I woke at three and couldn’t get back to sleep, not least because I remembered I hadn’t put the bin out to be emptied. I did drop off eventually but got up an hour ago and wheeled it down the drive - in the rain - in my dressing gown! Writers group at the library this afternoon and a mooch round M&S while I’m at the mall.
Kalu I hope the physio helps💐.
Have the best day you can folks.

luluaugust Wed 27-Nov-24 07:30:28

Good morning from a rainy W Kent. A social day today, a DF is coming to me for tea and a catch up this morning and then later I am visiting a DF who has had a minor op on her face and doesn’t want to go out yet
Kalu hope all the exercising brings improvement soon
Best wishes

Redcar Wed 27-Nov-24 07:31:03

Good morning everyone from a very wet Essex. The rain woke me this morning, but I’m still propped up in bed, keeping warm.
Another disturbed night, I really don’t like having to sleep on my back, but at least another 4 weeks of it.
DD1 will be away tonight for work, and her DH will have to leave at 6.00/tomorrow morning to join her so I’ll be in my own for most of tomorrow, with just the dog for company. DD2 will call in when she’s taken all the children to school.
A friend is coming to see me today, which will be nice. He has the afternoon off from caring for his wife who has dementia.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Jaxjacky Wed 27-Nov-24 07:32:48

Morning from a very wet S Hants, heavy rain overnight from storm Conall, now on its way out.
Yesterday last Christmas present delivered, in theory we’re done and a football shirt ordered for our grandson's January birthday.
Lunch with a friend today where we’ll pay our deposits for the Christmas lunch, booked in three weeks.
WI this evening, I’m not enamoured of the speaker, so may well sneak out early.
Kalu I hope the drugs and exercises provide some relief, it’s depressing.

Kalu Wed 27-Nov-24 07:33:26

Ouch GrannyGravy mortifying indeed and as anyone who uses cocodamol for pain relief will know, that is not only the negative side effect of this drug…terrible constipation to add to the misery. I’m hoping it all clears up soon.

brook2704 Wed 27-Nov-24 07:45:00

Good morning everyone from a very cold and frosty Inverness, it’s about -1°
Kalu sorry to hear you have painful sciatica, hope the weather stays dry today so you can enjoy your garden
I’ve a bit of shopping to do this morning then another volunteering session this afternoon, they’re really busy this week so I’m helping out a lot before it quietens down in December. Then I need to start packing as we’re off to visit DD1 in Cambridge this weekend so really looking forward to seeing them all
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

ginny Wed 27-Nov-24 07:47:23

Good morning. Looking drab outside but maybe we will get some sun later.
Hoping to cross some bits from my to do list , then probably add a few on !
I have an appointment with the nurse at midday.
We shall pick DGSs up from school and have them for a couple of hours until Son in Law collects them.
Best wishes to all especially those of you with illness or troubles.

Liberty Wed 27-Nov-24 07:54:10

Good morning from a very wet Suffolk after a gloriously sunny day yesterday. At least the forecasts are proving accurate even if we don’t like them.

I have my keep fit class at 9.30 and afterwards I’m taking a friend from the class and her husband shopping. He has a terminal illness but is still active and well but no longer drives and my friend never has. Although they get their groceries delivered and anything else can be ordered online,my friend just fancies a wander round a few shops “ to feel part of a normal world again” she says.

Coffee and lunch will follow I’m sure. Hope those suffering with pain ,anxiety or worries find some comfort today.

cornergran Wed 27-Nov-24 07:54:47

Morning Mick, morning All from a currently dry corner of Somerset

Excellent day with our friends yesterday, they were both pleased to have overcome fears and ventured out. Routine today, grocery delivery, an encounter with the iron and dust taming will pass the time.

Ouch kalu, hope the pain eases soon. Oh dear oops, what a palaver. Welcome home mizuna. I’m envious of that sky bellasnana, sunshine would be more than welcome.

Have the best day you can everyone.

NannyJan53 Wed 27-Nov-24 07:56:10

Good morning from a very wet and miserable Black Country, after a lovely sunny day yesterday!

I walked to the park and met my friend for coffee and a teacake at 10am, must have chatted until after 11.30, so we bought a 2nd coffee!

Then over to Mums as she was having a hearing test at home. Which revealed, as I had suspected, that her left ear was so bad that no hearing aid could really help much any longer sad

This morning I have having my hair cut and highlighted, luckily it is less than a 15 minute walk away, just hope the rained has stopped by the time I come out!

So sorry you are in so much pain Kalu hoping it eases off over the next day or two.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning everyone. It’s a chilly day in this corner of Lancashire, just past sunrise and the sky is washed with a cool grey.

Today is Lancashire Day, there will be a food festival in the city with the best of the historic county’s fare..

Hope everybody has a good day whatever you’re doing. 🌹
