Mr Soop thanks his ladies for their kind comments. Today he continues to rest and relax. Yes, he has plenty of serious pain killers. He returns to see the surgeon in a week's time. Oh joy!

Welcome dear Kitcheners. I am very happy to be opening the door to my favourite Granspals.
We have a new Aga. The atmosphere is cosy ' The buffet is ready for the sharing of. In the quiet corner we have music to suit all tastes. There are reclining chairs and cosy blankets and if all one wants to do is relax, then please do so.
By the way, it is a dear pal Baggs birthday tomorrow. There is a birthday cake in the larder. There is also plenty of Champagne with which to toast her.
I am off to my bed.
Thank you all for being extra special people.

soop This miserably cold weather, certainly in London, does not help severe pain like Mr. Soop* is experiencing.
I am seriously querying if sunshine actually exists.
Snow is forecast, so I have been out shopping for food. whatever happens, I doubt if I will die from starvation.
Firstly very best wishes to Mr soop Yiayia , and Suedonim and *GramdmaC47 ‘s dear men.
They are all suffering so much. 😔
I am glad to hear you have stocked up on food Charleygirl it makes sense if bad weather is coming your way.
My freezer needs defrosting - why didn’t I discover that before filling it up?!
A good evening to all.
Another gloomy day again, until late afternoon when the sky cleared and we had a lovely sunset! I hope that means we’ll see a bit more sunshine tomorrow. I had a longer walk this morning, walked all round our local recreation ground, including walking there and back it’s about half a mile. Real progress!
Sorted out some admin and did some ironing, so quite a productive day.
Have a peaceful evening everyone, keep warm!
Like Redcar, I ironed, did admin and went for a walk on my crutches! Then I went to choir, driving for the first time. A bit smug 😉
You are the only good natured People on here.
Hello kitchen people.
Usual Waitrose shop today. Our cleaner came and did a wonderful job. I also popped into Specsavers to double check on the two pairs of specs I have on order.
Lots of reading. As an antidote to the grim book I read recently on the Wars of the Roses (such grim battles) I am reading a biography of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. It had very good reviews.
I have kept well away from the news today apart from a two minute peek!
Sleep 💤 tight.
Catterygirl Your observation is truly heart warming.
Well done NannyTopsy and Redcar positively zooming about.
I tried a new dentist yesterday, much nearer home, the experience had me ringing my previous one today asking to return, it was dire!
Phone was quiet yesterday for medical lifts and quiz was fun last night; today I’ve been pottering, bulbs are shooting up in the garden, always cheering.
Cottage pie tonight, I just lifted a couple of muddy leeks to add in, I’ll pop back later.
nannytopsy well done! I didn’t walk today, but did go for a short drive, felt very pleased with myself! Good progress for both of us.
jax I hope your previous dentist took you back? It’s always a risk to change isn’t it.
I visited my friend with dementia this afternoon, but she slept the whole time. I had a nice chat with her DH.
Flicked a duster around the dining room and swept the floor, but it’s still untidy. I think I need a skip!
Have a peaceful evening evening everyone and keep warm, it’s still cold out there.
Hello kitchen people. I’m already in bed. I have a dreadful cold and slept badly last night. It is OH’s birthday so we ate lunch out. I managed to eat soup and a main course but was too whacked out for a pudding or coffee.
I have to be on the ball tomorrow as I have a hair appointment. I look like the Dulux dog atm.
Hello Kitcheners another grey damp day here.
Collecting Oscar soon from school for his trampoline lesson. He really enjoys it and it’s good for him.
DH had his procedure on Monday he said it was horrible!he has another appointment tomorrow to discuss.Saturday liver scan,be good to get this week over with.
Chicken traybake for dinner.Enjoy your evening Kitcheners.
My thoughts and good wishes are winging their way to all our Granspals who have concerns and sadness to bear.
I am not ignoring you lovely lot. I spend some time in the quiet corner and try to keep up with your happenings.

I'm just home from a lovely meeting at dgs1's school. I start on Monday in the library, throwing out old and tattered material. My idea of heaven! The depute and I had a good chat about what she wants and what I can offer. It's quite exciting and I feel very enthusiastic about it all.
How lovely Grandmabatty a new challenge.
I think I read in GM you’re feeling better llfl I hope so but a shame yesterday.
Your poor husband Yia roll on Sunday for you both.
My dentist is happy to have me back, yippee, I’m grateful after my Monday experience.
Just back from a consultation on a possible inguinal hernia, registrar thinks possibly a small one, ultrasound to be booked, in and out speedy quick, NHS 👍
Snap Jax...as suspected.. Called in by GP and prolapse etc diagnosed so off to Gynae I go.... Not sure when that will be. I have got Benenden Health Care but don't really have any idea how it works. Maybe I should check it out...
Afternoon kitchen pals, I have been preparing a mountain of cottage pies, most of which I will freeze. It’s nice to have something in the freezer on a #lazygran day (I am learning FriedGreenTomatoes2 )
The 9 yr old is here for his weekly sleepover, so it’s been homework (times tables and spellings) he has requested pulled pork, with hash browns and cucumber so that is what he shall have 💙
(((Hugs))) to all the poorly people, hope mr.soop is more comfortable.
Sounds like that will be ideal for you Grandmabatty good to have new opportunities.
Sounds like a few of us have had medical days today. I’ve had my routine mammogram this afternoon then went on a walk with Ds where we had a nice chat. I’m doing bp readings for 4 days and doing all I can not to end up on meds 🤞
Thinking of you and your dear DH yiayia
Evening
Had a hectic day at toddler group with my grandson, helping out a friend
Made us all a nice chicken butter curry to warm the old cockels ,1st time my grandson has tried it ,ate the lot ,after his bath and bed ,just going to relax and see what's on the box
yiayia your poor DH, you’ll both be pleased when this week is over. naughtyneine do check out Benenden it’s a lovely small hospital and the staff are lovely. They provide quite a lot of diagnostic procedures as part of the membership, but some operations have to be paid for. That said, they’re cheaper than most private hospitals because they’re a “not for profit” organisation.
jax pleased your dentist will have you back!
That sounds really good grandmabatty I hope you enjoy your new challenge!
Good to get back to your previous dentist Jax 👍
Hi 👋 and welcome to jennynanna
There’s such a lot of kitcheners with medical issues and things to sort out, hoping all goes well for everyone
Gentle hugs to all in the quiet corner, thinking of you x
‘Evening All’.
Just finished my favourite chocolates. See pic. ◀️
Violet & rose creams. Not sold in many shops nor posh garden centres. I bought these in Selfridges in the Trafford Centre just before Christmas. £11 the box and when I opened the last weekend found the box contained 8 chocolates. As you can imagine I’ve been very slowly enjoying them, one a night!
I bought a Breton top today in the Trafford Centre. Jaeger. £18 instead of £48. That pleased me (and took the ‘ouch’ off the chocolate extravaganza) as you can imagine.
Oh what a wonderful new chapter for you now Grandmabatty! So pleased for you. I can sense your enthusiasm from here! 😁
GG13 you are fast becoming #lazygran2 …
“Slow down you move too fast,
Gotta make the morning last. … feeling groovy!” 🎵 🎶
