Good morning all. It’s grey and dank in Glasgow this morning but does feel milder.

A higher dose of pain relief was required last night to allow me a full night’s sleep.

I was on taxi duty for GD2 yesterday afternoon. Picked her up from a friend’s where she had a sleepover, took her home for a change of clothing, had a coffee with DD1 then back to the train station with GD to meet up with other friends as they were going Christmas shopping in Glasgow. Something I enjoy doing and it gives another purpose to my day.
An electrician coming around lunch time to attend to the small list of work that needs to be done.

Encouraging news Ash
Hope you have a better day Marydoll

Best wishes to all especially those in pain and worries.

Good morning Mick and everyone from cloudy and still rather dark Carlisle. The theoretical sun has only just got up.

I went to Sainsbury's early on yesterday, busier than usual for that time. I successfully avoided bakery temptations but I do have my own homemade fruit cake!
The rest of the day was quiet, mostly reading.

Last night, I made a brief visit to the 3am club, rubbing Tiger Balm into my painful lower back and hips. I spent over 8 hours in bed, mostly asleep but not good sleep, every time I need to shift position, it has to be done mindfully. It's the GP tomorrow, I'm praying he doesn't tell me it's a permanent, degenerative condition.

A quiet day today, pottering. I debated going for a walk but will wait till I see the doc.
Lots of my spring bulbs are well on in the garden, my thoughts are turning to Spring.... The blackbirds are still being picky about their apples...Tesco's yes, Sainsbury's, not unless we're really desperate!

A lot of you are very busy so hope all goes well with your activities.
Enjoy the day everyone.

Good morning all from a very dark, windy and cold day here on the east coast of Fife. There seems to be a tummy bug going around which I had yesterday thankfully it has settled now as I’ll be heading off to church soon.

Have a good day my friends or as good as you can. Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat

Good morning everyone from a dull and overcast Northampton, what a change after.yesterday's brilliant sunshine!

Had a good shopping trip yesterday, getting everything I needed, including a good sized ham for Christmas - the family always request my home-cooked ham; shall cook it the day before Christmas Eve.
Also saw a pretty pair of star-shaped ear-rings which I treated myself to.

Wrapped presents for two friends in the afternoon, (while listening to rugby commentary on the radio!), will walk round and deliver one today, and the other is for the friend who gives me a lift to yoga, so shall see her tomorrow.
My rugby team were playing in South Africa, and had a really good win, with a nail-biting finish.

Steak for dinner tonight, yummy....

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Another disturbed night here for no obvious reason after a lovely evening with DS who kindly allowed me to cook for him (duck breasts) and brought me up to date with his very busy life. He put air in my car tyres, failed to sort out my printer and is now off on a run before breakfast and then back to London bearing gifts for the family members I won’t see. Always nice to have him on his own sometimes.

Am out to lunch later, then the Sunday paper and the last episode of Wolf Hall, so a really good day in prospect. Hope everyone else has as satisfactory a day.

A very late morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I have been up for ages but elder son and his family were here having breakfast and packing their things. They arrived yesterday and we had a delicious pre-Christmas dinner. They have taken most of the rich chocolate cake back with them!

I’ll read your posts later but in the meantime have a lovely Sunday.
