I'm not sure his goal is altruistic. Why now? Why make controversial and sensational comments about the UK being on the brink of civil war?

Why is he so invested in British politics?

It's very worrying and quite frightening.

One poster asked why he should not be allowed to express an opinion on this when we can all voice our opinions on world affairs.

The difference is that Musk is an extremely wealthy and consequently powerful individual, he has the ear of the President Elect of the USA and could in fact influence foreign policy.
We, on the other hand, have little influence except at the ballot box or by protesting in person or by signing petitions.

Musk's suggestion about Jess Phillips is ludicrous but also dangerous.

He cares nothing for the abused girls as he has supported such misogynists as Brand and Tate. He is just trying to interfere in British politics and democracy and seizing any opportunity.

This goes far above political sides

This is men enabling and/or covering up for other men’s horrific behaviour.

Like I said up thread, Jeffrey Epstein, Catholic Church, Church of England, BBC etc all equally as bad.

But, this thread is about the systematic abuse and rape if white under age girls (children) by grooming gangs of men of ethnic minorities.

And supporting Farage.

It's quite clear what the Telegraph - and you - are trying to do FGT political bandwagon wise. The usual Starmer attack by trying to pick him out of a long complex and already much investigated issue. Hundreds of police, S workers, other agencies all contributed. As well as the lack of knowledge of how to deal with this and victim blaming.

The situation we have has been ongoing since the late 1990's - 25+ years - and victims of perps of all backgrounds white/Asian/mixedhave been let down.

What matters is that our society is equipped to support, bring justice for victims, turn the victim blaming around, offer support, and above all try and intervene early in situations

Posters with a professional background in safeguarding have offered their thoughts.The professionals and politicians who fought to bring this to light have offered time and time again their insights.
People from the same ethnic backgrounds as the perpetrators have spoken out and in one case fought to pursue justice.

So what is to be gained by making this about Labour or Reform or Musk.It's dreadful.

Because it is a particular problem. In the same way there was a problem within the catholic church. It is institutional cowardice not to talk about that.

Oh and if the left dont talk about it they may as well hand the keys of downing street to Farage. I suppose that will give them another opportunity to wander around looking confused and saying how did that happen.

Although people from all backgrounds talk and have here about it, the time is for stronger action not more talking/inquiries. How will a further detailed enquiry on Oldham actually help except cost more money?
