Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark and its raining outside here at the moment in brackley.
Today, my usual bus trip into Bicester , I aim to get my haircut with it sort of being a normal week as to shops.
On the Health front OK, as to the Lamb Curry I was very careful as to the scotch bonnets.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a wet and windy corner of S E Essex

I have DD’s boys today as they are not back to schedule until tomorrow. Might go to the gym, not sure.

I have washing to do, finish sorting decorations.

Hello K26
Safe journey Ascombe and ODD

Good morning from quite snowy South Lanarkshire. The road looks pretty drivable so I hope that by 11 o’clock my neighbour and I will be able to get to our chair yoga class (and lunch afterwards!).

Giffnock family arrived out on Saturday morning, DD was running in Park Run which is held here in January, The children stayed with me and afterwards my tree and decorations were taken down and returned to the loft, so a good job done. I hoovered the whole house and felt very pleased with myself.

Next bit of the day was not so successful. Connel family have given me a fancy floor cleaner which didn’t work properly so will have to be returned and of course the logistics of this are not straightforward with one person paying and another returning it from an entirely different part of the country. I’ll start again after breakfast.

I hope the Channel isn’t too choppy for Ash and that everyone under the weather has a better day. Well done you Grammaretto getting your dustbin out, that’s enough adventure for one day!

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning from a windy and wet Suffolk where it feels quite mild.

Another home based day I think apart from our usual dog walk. The edge of the fields were very muddy and flooded in places but I’m hoping these strong winds will have dried them up a bit in spite of the rain.

DGC in different parts of the country return to school tomorrow somewhat reluctantly I think after leisurely starts to recent days. They’ll soon get into the routine.

The rest of the week looks busy so we’ll enjoy the slow pace of today. Hope all have a restful day especially those who are not feeling their best.

Awaiting the arrival of workmen to install a new electric flame effect fire in the sitting room - the very inefficient gas one was removed on Friday. Told they will be here any time after 8.00 am so a hideously early start even though I bet they won’t be here much before 10.00 am. Will occupy the time with silver and brass cleaning so that when the room is put to rights everything looks its best. Otherwise a domestic day and will chase the builder about when someone can come to look at the leak in the kitchen which looks much worse.

Hope the travellers have a trouble-free journey and that those still suffering from the various winter bugs are improving.

Good morning from a wet and windy County Durham. The street is still full of snow, even though it rained heavily last night. I don't fancy venturing out today.
The GC are not back to school until tomorrow so we're unsure if we'll see any of them today. Will wait and see.
All remnants of Christmas are now packed away in the loft and we have a very spacious living room once more.
I didn't get round to my Lego sorting as by the afternoon I collapsed into a tired heap. No fresh air makes me feel like that. The snow was so deep yesterday it would have been exhausting trying to stomp through it, so I remained cosily inside, rather than taking that wintry walk I had planned. Today it will be far too icy and slippery. Dance fit class has been cancelled.
I do hope my knitting order arrives today as I need a project to keep me busy and am looking forward to making new hats for the family, well in advance for next winter.
Other than that.....a day of wait and see.
Wishing all a peaceful day.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s wet out. All the snow has cleared now. Trafford schools are back in today after their Christmas break. L’il Miss’ childminder has a hospital appointment this afternoon so we’ve been asked to do the pick up from school and walk her the ten minutes to their house. We will stay with them (Boy Wonder will be there before us ) until their dad gets in.

Good morning from Shropshire where we have had heavy overnight rain.

We decided along with DD2 that we shouldn’t travel to look after DGS1 today due to the weather.Overnight rain has washed away the snow but there are several flood warnings on the way to DD’s now🙄Today will now be a laundry and sorting day.

You are making such good progress Grammaretto🌟

Safe travels Ash and olddudders.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning everyone from a very wet and windy Northampton; another day indoors, taking down the tree and the decorations; hate the look of the bare room afterwards but will get used to it.

Did not go to rugby yesterday but stayed in the warm and watched it on tv. A runaway start for Saints, but it all came down to the final kick of the game which went in our favour and we came away winners 35-34.

Hoping that the weather is better in Sweden as that is where DS and family are, visiting DD-out-law's family; lovely picture on Facebook yesterday of the DGDs with their Swedish cousins.

Wishing all a pleasant Monday.

Good morning all. The snow on the hills has crept a little bit closer overnight, but nothing here - just soggy, which I'm happy to accept under the circumstances!
Good to see improvements and progress for all the poorlies, and of course that Mick survived 'operation Scotch Bonnet' in spite of all dire warnings 😉.
Yesterday was DGD2's 20th birthday, but as she lives down Lincoln way I didn't see her.
Tomorrow, however, I'm off to
Edinburgh to meet DD and DGDs 1 and 3 for lunch as it's DD's 51st birthday. She's coming up from Nottingham, just for the day, (as you do) just to celebrate! Doing crazy things like that makes the miles between us seem not so many.
I'm going to order a taxi to take me down to the station (which I can just about see from my window) in case the roads are icy first thing. I shall spend more time on the train tomorrow than I shall with DD, but it will be worth it!
Have a good day everyone, in spite of the weather conditions, and welcome to K25K.

Good morning Mick and all from 4°C northwest coast. Snow thawing now but the wind is bitter. Will put off my regular walk into the sand dunes until it’s more comfortable.

DSon still here, but leaves today on his motorbike and my cat feeding duty ends as my neighbours return today. Another quiet day in the warm beckons. The tree and decs will go into the cellar below and I should really sort them out, my collection of decs is in a right jumble.
Bon voyage to Ash and Co, thoughts to Grammaretto and all🌺

Good morning from a snowy land. Staying with friends in the Scottish Borders. Beautiful.

A late hello from a cold Co Armagh, I managed to walk up to Mass , but was glad of my four wheeled walker it was quite slippery underfoot
My Daughter has just trawled through my landline phone and added the numbers to my mobile I’ve had a fault on the landline since before Christmas, to the caller it sounds like the phone is ringing and I’m not answering, but when I answer I get static
The system where you ring bt leaves me in a muddle so daughter took over and I await an engineer ( or a robot ) to contact me ,!!
Wishing everyone a good day and stay warm !
