Any suggestions please for our Grandsons 18th birthday gift. He will be getting cash but we'd also like to give him something perhaps as a keepsake as well.

It is difficult. My grandson had money from us on his 18th - he has an expensive habit i.e. guitars and paraphernalia. I am now wondering what I can give him for his 21st this year. The last 3 years have flown by and as he has 9 guitars and paraphernalia I have no idea. I did think an engraved tankard as he likes real ale.

We had a favourite photograph done as a drawing of our grandson. He loved it.

I misread the title. I thought the OP was referring to their 18th grandson!

I know IT'S ALL SORTED for the OP, but I just wanted to say what a fabulous present Greyduster is giving to her GS.

And how nice to hear she is joining up with the other Gran. We hear too much about competitive grans. This is great and something he will appreciate for years to come.

He’s very keen. He found an old golf club sticking out of a skip last year which only needed a new grip, so he had it repaired at the pro shop at the municipal course he plays on and added it to his motley assortment! Hopefully these new ones will smooth his game out! It’s saved two grans a lot of head scratching.
