Dear Kitchen friends, it is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that my DH died suddenly on Tuesday evening. He developed breathing difficulties from what had started as a cough/ cold last week. The ambulance came very quickly, he was admitted directly to A and E where the super staff worked so hard with him all day, but had to tell me that there was no more they could do, to send for our boys. They all came in rush hour traffic, but thankfully they had time with their Dad. The staff removed the machines, made him comfortable and moved him to a wee quiet room where we could all be with him. He died peacefully in my arms a short while later. Pneumonia and pulmonary disease.
We're all a bit dazed but the family have been great, making arrangements and looking after me. I'm so thankful that we were all there and that it was peaceful for him.💙🕯🙏
I'll be taking a wee break to start to come to terms with things, sorry I haven't mentioned you individually but I'll pop in to read your posts and try to keep up. We're looking back through so many photos, I'm counting my blessings and remembering,
