Good Morning Saturday 1st February 2025
(49 Posts)Morning Mick from a dry, dark and disappointed north Wales…🏉 🤬
Sorry to read about wee Dollys mishap and hope she’s back to her normal assertive self soon (wonder where she gets it from…🤷♀️ 😉)
I’m enjoying an extra strong ☕️before my trek for a paper where I shall chat to the horses, squirrels and the odd doggy along the way - not many humans around this early!
Will pop in later and see what delights await you all this weekend and 💐 for those with none at the moment x
Good morning from Malta where it is just getting light and we are expecting an overcast day with a high of 19°C.
Another awful night so I don’t really feel bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee which will no doubt cheer me up as she’s a lovely, positive person.
Have a good day everyone.☀️
Good morning from Durham. Still dark, some sun expected, but still feeling cold. The heating is on and off through the night.
I’m going to meet DD2 and DGS2 for Soft Play this afternoon while his Daddy is at the football, but that’s about it.
I must think of a birthday gift for my old school friend near Melton Mowbray. She has everything, so not easy.
Best wishes to all. X
White rabbits 🐇 🐇🐇 from Bristol. Not looked out but we are promised a mild, dry day.
I took a pill last night so had a reasonable night, the first in ages.
I ha£ a lovely walk to my Spanish class in the frosty sunshine. Signs of spring everywhere, with snowdrops flowering and bluebell plants piercing the leaf beds.
The topic yesterday was Trump’s order to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico. Interesting. Our teacher tries very hard to educate us and keep us interested. He also wanted to know specific things we would like hi to teach.
The afternoon was spent pottering.
Today, I’m serving coffee in the church and I’ve got cake and biscuits left over from Wednesday. The punters should be happy.
Hugs to this3 with mountains to climb, may the descent be rapid and easy. Happy weekend.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good morning from a dry, calm Cornwall. My granddaughter is coming for the day and I couldn't source the concrete we were going to play with but there are plenty of other things for her to enjoy here. Here's a photo of Porthleven yesterday evening, one of my favourite stops on the bus journey to Penzance.
Good morning from a dark but dry Yorkshire. White rabbits everyone. Hope you all have a good day.
Good morning from Shropshire.Dark and chilly at the moment.
I haven’t had the best nights sleep as DGD was suffering with asthma so even when her medication had taken effect I was still worrying about her.
Today we are going over to Staffordshire to visit DD and family. The cousins are very excited to be having time together.
Wishing everyone a good day🦩
Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset feels cold, it looks dry out there.
Spent the day quietly at home yesterday, this not sleeping lark has removed enthusiasm for anything. As we ate the last crumbs of bread yesterday will be venturing out for basics and maybe have a short walk. Later it will be back to the photos.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning from s somerset, might be dry today but certainly dull all day
It took me too long to get to sleep last night, all that tossing and turning with a whizzy mind. I need to think through what I did during the evening, perhaps too much tv or more likely that I reclined my chair to rest my bones and fell asleep or maybe the dark chocolate strip at 2.30. I normally have the dark chocolate by 12. I need to work on it today
I have some allotment work again today and will only be there for 2 hours max this time. My aim is to have a productive site that is easy to work by the summer.
Any time at home today will be more mindful, to try and improve my sleep
Have a good day
Morning all from Kew. I was woken by the planes and trains!
Me and granddaughter will head off to the V&A later. It’s about eight stops on the tube!
Have a good day.
Good Morning from a dry Oxfordshire.
It’s MissOops birthday today, we told her to clear her day and MzOops is taking charge, a massage this morning then Afternoon tea at our local Palace…… all will be a surprise, let’s hope she enjoys it.
She will be here for Breakfast when possibly all will be revealed.
This time last year we were in Lyme Regis for the week, thinking of moving down to the coast. Now she is settled in the Cotswolds and we are still here.
My dreams Of moving South gone forever.
Anyway, mustn’t grumble!
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone, it’s just getting light here, not sure what the weather is doing…
We will pop into Aldi first thing, then I shall be feeding the washing machine, and curling up on the sofa with my kindle.
Enjoy your weekend folks 🐇🐇🐇
Good morning from mid Essex. It’s getting light but looks cloudy and dry but chilly. A quiet day yesterday, didn’t speak to anyone but had texts from my DDs. I didn’t go out for a walk because it was raining and I didn’t want to slip over on wet pavements. I need to post a letter so will go out this morning.
I think it’s going to be cloudy this morning but brighter later.
Hopefully we’ll see more of the sun in February than we did in January.
Have the best day possible everyone!
Chilly morning here in the north west. February already have a hard few days ahead of me but know I can get through them . Tomorrow would have been my husband's 68th birthday ,Monday the anniversary of our first date 50 years ago. But am going to a concert at the Music room on the afternoon to see Ruby Colley. Looking forward to it . And the 6th 21st anniversary of my darlings dead. Grief has gotten worse over the years but my love for him is just as strong. And I think he would be astonished at the way I fill my life since my move here in 2019. I know I am living the life he wanted for me but I live it for us both . Because of his love and support through our years together I am the woman I am now . I never want to let him down even now . But I can say I am happy a much underrated emotion.
Good morning from grey-skied Gloucestershire where I’m snug in bed , back at the wonderful mansion on the hillside overlooking a beautiful valley.
There are 9 in the group this time, all very friendly, several of whom are professional artists so I hope to manage to keep up!
A lovely day ahead learning about art journalling and trying out lots of different techniques 😊 it’s very nature based so we’ll be exploring the grounds, fields and woods too!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend 🌹
Good morning all from a dreary looking North Leicestershire.
DH is off out midmorning to go to the football. Luckily they have food included in their ticket so my input is not required.
Instead I will be ironing! Then I have to nip to Waitrose. I had an awful night's sleep so I will put my feet up this afternoon.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I slept well last night for a change. Barely light here in South Yorkshire. I don’t think we are due to see the sun today but it should be dry. I am sneezing🙄.
DS is due around eleven to spend the day with me. He’s taking me out for lunch so I’ve booked a table at a local pub. As usual I’ve saved up a couple of small jobs for him to do. He rarely gets away without having to do something!
Have the best day you can, folks.
Good morning from the Headland Hotel in Torquay!
Last night we attended a super Toads social event here including a superb meal and we booked to stay over so that neither of us need worry about driving home afterwards. The hotel is in a very quiet area with views across the bay to Brixham and Berry Head.
Lovely photo, Mizuna.
Your art day sounds great, RosesandLilac.
Some poignant memories, Whiff but I’m sure your DH would be proud of you. 💐
Enjoy whatever you’ve planned. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Roses I had never heard of art journaling so I looked it up. I night have a go at that myself. Enjoy your course - sounds great!
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2°and a bit foggy.
Yesterday I got all the housework and washing done. Then a Tesco delivery. I even cleaned the fridge- my least favourite job. Dd popped in with the boys in the afternoon. It was a brief visit because dgs1 had swimming to go to. Dgs2 was very tired and emotional. Lots of crying and screaming because he wanted to stay. Full days at nursery are taking their toll, poor wee man.
Today I'm meeting a friend for breakfast at the local garden centre. After I drop her home, I'll head to the library to pick up a book I had ordered. I might visit mum this afternoon too. Have a good day all.
Good morning from a very bright W Kent. Thank you for the good wishes yesterday and I am pleased to say my second cataract was dealt with after a long wait, goodness knows where I was on the list. A couple of quiet days ahead so a chance to rest.
Best wishes to all
Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, DH has had to scrape the car.
I had a lovely morning out with DD yesterday to the Company Shop. I had never been before and could not believe how little I had paid for steak, chicken etc.,. The only downside was it was heaving, full of aggressive shoppers, determined to grab bargains.
Afterwards we visited a farm shop for coffee and cake. On the way home, DD who was driving and using the sat nav got lost. I gad a fair idea where we were, but was not allowed to speak, because I was distracting her. 🤣
I quite enjoyed my tour of the villages of Renfrewshire.
Today, I have to send out the parish bulletin and update the website, The PP has sent me so many amended versions, I haven't a clue, what the correct one is!
The shopping got a bit mixed up yesterday, so DD is coming to claim what is rightly hers and the lasagne I have made for her. She never leaves empty handed.
Apart from that, I will have a quiet day. The bouts of nausea are still problematic. I have a niggling fear, it could be my new biologics, The same thing happened with the last two I tried.
This will be the end of the biologics, if it is that, I will have run out of options😔
For Whiff and all, who are struggling.
Susan, we never stop worrying about our children and grandchildren. 💕
Happy birthday to Miss Oops.
Have a pleasant day everyone.
Good morning from a dry Suffolk where sun is forecast later. Apart from going to buy some smoked trout from a shop in Reydon where they get a weekly delivery from Pinny’s in Orford who smoke the fish themselves, nothing else planned as yet.
Hopefully we’ll be able to spend some time in the garden when the sun appears and today will be a good one for all.
Good morning all. It feels so cold again this morning in Glasgow. We have a light frost and a few pink clouds so far.
It’s DD2’s 48th birthday today. Forgetting about the time difference in Australia, I wished her happy birthday yesterday🤦🏼♀️. I rectified it last night when I joined the family FaceTime chat, she laughed it off telling me it was perfectly understandable as I am adjusting to what is my new normal.
Whiff 💐. Living life for both of us sums up how I feel since DH died 5mths ago. Keeping him still part of my life, I share my days events when I ‘talk’ to him gives me comfort.
Hoping Dollie and yourself are more settled and doing better MD Look after yourself.
So many of us having rubbish sleep patterns, I have given up hope of ever returning to normal, I just go with the flow….not losing sleep over it. 🙂
Best wishes to all for a good weekend.
