Good morning all from Glasgow, where we have a heavy frost, it's -2°C.
It is lovely to read so many upbeat posts this morning. Susan, that event sounds so enjoyable.
GG, I seem to have missed what happened to you. I even trawled back to see what happened, but still have no idea. I hope you feel better soon. 🥰
We had a delightful, but exhausting day yesterday with BabyD and Dollie. Dollie is so good with her, which takes the pressure off us.
It was a beautiful day, so we walked to the farm to see the horses, with me hobbling miles behind DH, who thinks he is in training for the Olympics. 🏃♂️
We were walking along, when a works van drove by and tooted the horn very loudly. DH assumed that as usual, it was someone I know, because a number of acquaintances had waved as they drove past. I said I had absolutely no idea, who it was.
The van screeched to a halt, further up the road and a head poked out of the window, shouting; Hen, you have lost your wean?
Well, I looked and BabyD was still in her pram!! A passerby shouted, Her baby is lying on the pavement!. The wee besom had thrown her dolly out of the pram, further up the road and we hadn't noticed.
On going to pick up Dollie, at school, we decided to put her in the reins, so that DH (who always gets flustered,) wouldn't have to struggle putting up the pram, or even more difficult, folding it down again.
BIG mistake! She loved it, but decided it was her way, or no way. She is the most stubborn of children.🤣
She had a ball, especially when the Primary One Teacher, on her way back from the library with her pupils, , stopped to talk to me. I don't think BD has seen so many children in the one place.
The icing on the cake was when Dollie and her classmates were waving from an upstairs window and then all came to talk to her and make a fuss of her in the playground.
Her wee face was beaming.🥰
The downside was that when it was time to take her home at dinner time, she lay down on the floor and refused to get ready. She had a full blown strop, when papa tried to put her in the car. She had no intention of going home.🤣
Not having napped, she was exhausted and we spent the thirty minute journey home, singing nursery rhymes to keep her awake! Just as we reached her home, she conked out!!🤣
Today, we are meeting DD and SIL for lunch at a local hotel. The former PP had given me a voucher last Christmas ( he was always very generous), so I said we would treat them as it is SIL's birthday. That was before we got the eye watering bill for the roof repair yesterday! 😢
I need to try and get to Lidl first, my baking stash is low and I love their yoghurt. No doubt, I will end up buying a lot of rubbish from the middle isle.
I wish you all, a pleasant day and successful hospital appointments. Baubles, a lovely day for your childminding. Will you have a walk along the beach?
I need to mention, our absent friend Blossoming, for whom life is a struggle. We miss you.
