The Welsh Government will introduce a flat rate fare of one pound for 16-21 years olds for all bus journeys in Wales.

Why does the English Government not do the same for its young uns?

We are very lucky to have free bus travel for certain agr groups here in Scotland. Unfortunately I think I have managed to use my free bus pass twice in five years are there are hardly any buses where I live!

Just over the border in England it costs £5 per day per child to get to school and college.

Not in London. We have youth Oyster cards. Pretty sure they're free.

I live in an area similar to yourself 4allweknow and the issue of bus passes to under 22's has caused real problems. The two main bus routes pass two high schools and we are finding that from 3.30pm (12.30pm on Friday) until 5.30pm it is nearly impossible to get from here to town. When getting the bus to town the teenagers (being fitter than most adults that use the bus) manage to commandeer three nearby bus stops and it is chaos from 5.00pm trying to get a when they have finished wandering round town and have to get back home as obviously most of them live not far from their school. As for behaviour and bad language that's a whole other story!!!!
