Good morning all, it’s 7 C in Glasgow.
A busy day ahead, we have the Duracell bunny, so the hatches have been battened down..She has already requested a wee tea and scone at the swings!.
Yesterday was rather eventful. Fortunately, I managed to secure a face to face appointment with my own GP. I was so relieved when he phoned and on hearing how fragile I seemed, suggested I come down to the surgery. He was horrified at the state of my mouth and throat. His face was a picture, when I told him that the GP last week had suggested Bonjela.
His kindness, taking more than the alloted tens minutes to listen to my tale of woe, and realising that I had basically had enough of ill health, felt like huge weight being lifted from my shoulders!
The outcome, I have two prescriptions to try and tackle the problem. The only downside is that I must stop my heart meds for a few days. Swings and roundabouts and all that! It seems I am also running a temperature, another reason why I am feeling so awful.
I also asked him to look at two sores on my face, which won’t heal. I explained that one of the secondary causes of my mother’s death was an untreated basal cell carcinoma, hence my concern.
He was of the opinion that the sores are suspect and I have medication to try and treat them, but it looks as If I may need to see a dermatologist. Life is certainly not easy at the moment.
DIL phoned me in a panic, just after I arrived back from the hairdresser. What a treat that was. She was checking if I was OK.
She was on her way to pick up Dollie from next door, but the end of our road was blocked by a fire engine, parked horizontally across the road, along with police cars. She saw the aftermath of a three car accident, which must have happened just after I arrived home. A lucky escape indeed.
The road was still totally blocked last night, when I went to open up the church and a number of policemen still on duty, guided me around the police cars to allow me out.
DIL said it looked very serious, I hope no-one was badly hurt. It is a 40mph road, which suddenly becomes 30mph at a difficult junction. Few observe the speed limit and you need eyes in the back of your head.
The scaffolders arrived yesterday to sort the roof, but apparently it didn’t work out and they took it down again.😡. They will be back today to try a different configuration. 😭
I must get up and move my car again, to allow them access, so I need to get a move on.
Safe journey tomorrow, Llfl, you sound as if you have had an enjoyable holiday.
Best wishes to all, who are struggling and need a virtual hug. I remember you all in my prayers..
A special thanks to all you lovely, Gransnetters, who have propped me up, and also prayed for me, when I have been so low, mentally and physically. It has certainly helped, onward and upwards.
Unexpectedly DH's new car is arriving tomorrow. He cannot be trusted to organise his insurance, so has asked me to organise it. It will not be easy, for Babydoll is permanently glued to my side! 🤣 Wish me luck!!
Have a pleasant day folks.
