Good morning from a dry Bristol. It’s going to be mild.

MD, I’m so sorry you are feeling so unwell,I hope the doctors find some sort of solution. FGT, glad to know that you are back safely, shame that we had better weather than you did!

My baking yesterday afternoon went well, although I had never made a tray Victoria sponge before. It was at Iris’ request for easier serving. The lemon drizzle was easy. As was the coffee/walnut which I made for church as I’m serving coffee this morning.

DD called in the evening to collect the cakes. She had received the plant parcel that afternoon. As an early Mothering Sunday present, I had ordered some snowdrops in the green for her.

Today, same old, same old. Church coffee, afternoon of pootling, sewing, perhaps.

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

DH isn’t feeling great, I’m hoping he hasn’t got the same lurgy I had last week.
We came back from Edinburgh a bit earlier than usual yesterday and he was in bed before nine pm. Unheard of.

Anyhoo we won’t be doing much today. If the weather is as good as is promised I’ll have a lovely long walk with the daft dug.

I shall shortly trot for my 🗞️ hoping to avoid the 💩 left by the inquisitive mountain ponies who had to be herded back up to their pastures by the local farmer yesterday! Apparently they know cold weather is on its way 🤷‍♀️

A lazy day is forecast…a hop on the bus to Conwy with books back to the Library, the butchers for provisions and giant sausage roll for lunch then a sneaky shared bottle of Sauvignon in the sunny secret garden behind the wine shop 😇. (Mr PG insists it’s not a secret anymore since I tell all and sundry…😂)

Home for lots of 🏉- I do hope Wales continue to improve even if they lose…after the nul point against France, points on the board are a must!

Good morning from s somerset, bright, dry and breezy today

I am going to be sorting and re-planting the strawberry plants living in my many self-watering troughs. The troughs were wrong for those plants as they remained soggy all winter and some plants have died. This is a big re-vamp and normal troughs are ordered for my etageres. Meanwhile I will be examining, trimming and using temporary pots. It is going to take me all day and I want to be ready for trailing begonias too

I like to be doing outside work on a day like this. Anything indoors can wait

Good morning from Malta where a sunny day with a high of 19°C is forecast.

Yesterday it rained non-stop so didn’t manage to get out with the boys. They don’t seem to mind though and they are playing together more now which is nice.

I had another awful night. Oh for the days when I would fall asleep and stay asleep until morning. I got up at 2am as I was sick of lying there thinking, and made tea and toast whilst watching a bit of the tennis from Indian Wells.

I eventually must have nodded off on the sofa and have now woken up feeling tired and grumpy.

No plans other than the usual cleaning and laundry.

I ought to go and collect my new passport as it’s ready but I can’t be bothered.

Morning Mick, morning All from a mild corner of Somerset. A decent day forecast.

Passport photos obtained yesterday with much hilarity as the passport office algorithm just didn’t like me. Some tweaks with the machine and all was well.

Still trying to digest bus changes from April. It seems our local bus will be less frequent to ‘improve customer satisfaction’ - not sure how that works - and more importantly will no longer serve the sea front. It means a heck of a walk from the closest stop A real blow for the less mobile.

A bit of faffing this morning and a wander out for a stretch this afternoon.

I made a cake yesterday before I went to a wonderful concert in Edinburgh thanks to a spare ticket when someone else was sick!

Good morning all. A welcoming sunny, milder day is forecast for Glasgow today.

Yesterday turned out sunnier in more ways than one as GD1 made a surprising visit under her own steam having passed her driving test this week. DD1 is enjoying a bit more freedom with only one DD to taxi around.
I also spent some time foutering around in the garden, just what I needed.
DD2 FaceTimed to let me know Cyclone Alfred was a non event in Brisbane thank goodness.
Hopefully more time in the garden today.

Good. Morning from a soon to be sunny N Surrey. GrandMattie I have a booklet torn out of a 1970s/80s Family Circle. Mary Berry spends a morning making many many traybakes of different flavours. I have never made them, but kept the booklet just in case!! I must dig it out. I know she looks very young as we all did.
This weather has been such a boost after what seemed like months of grey and more grey.
More garden tidying today. I have too many pots and a cull is called for. Less is more I think. I must put that thought into practice.

I've been reading your newsy messages each morning as I recovered from one virus after another. It's become my go to good morning read!

It's mild and dry in Cheshire with many signs of spring in the gardens and hedgerows. The early flowering cherry in the garden is looking very pretty and the blackthorns along the road look as though there's been a snow fall!

Today I must get in the garden to clear winter leaves before the gardener comes and charges me £20 an hour, leaving him to deal with the plants and some summer planting.

Good morning, it’s dry here in south Glos and I am enjoying my coffee in bed before I get up to take the dog out. I must have a good cleaning and tidying up session this morning, it’s slipped a bit this week.
Yesterday I had a lovely morning at the new painting group, I’m loving learning how to draw - that sounds ridiculous at the age of 71 but my friend has taught me so much in two sessions!
Yesterday afternoon I faffed around achieving nothing except dog walking- DH usually takes her out once a day but he's ‘busy’, doing something to the garden seat.
This means he can’t possibly do any of his usual things like emptying the dishwasher, a dog walk or vacuuming…..grhhhh!

I had a lovely lunch out yesterday with my friend.She had made me a huge bara brith which was a nice surprise.
The children’s artwork was both placed in the Eisteddfod.H got first and M got second.I was really pleased for them as they both worked hard on their creations.

Today a quiet day at home.H is tired after a busy week at school so Lego for him and sewing for M.I have brought my mum’s sewing table/box for M and she spent most of yesterday evening arranging her fabrics and threads in there.

I hope your new medication is helping Marydoll🙏🏻Thinking of Ash and all our absent posters.

I had an appointment with the optician yesterday, he said that the cataracts were more pronounced and did I want to be referred to get them sorted. If he hadn't told me I had them I wouldn't have known.
DS and GD may be visiting today but no word as yet, she does volunteer work for her DOE award.

Good morning all and ive been awake on and off through the night and couldn’t stay in bed any longer. Just a cold but I’m not used to being unwell. 🤧.

Today I’ll just flop around - Dh will go to footie this afternoon so I’ll watch a film or two.

DS2 sorted out my I pad yesterday, over the phone, which is such a relief. He’s very patient and talked me through it step by step.❤️.

Grandaughter 4 is 13 on Tuesday and today they have gone to London to watch the Mean Girls Musical and have a sushi meal. This is right up her street, as it’s her ambition is to become an actress.. She’s been in Panto this year and loved every minute of the 32 performances she was in.

Thinking of all the poorly grans and hoping you feel some improvement today. 💐.

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny but with a bit of high cloud and 5 degrees. Another sunny and mild day is forecast. DD2 took me out for a browse round the local garden centre yesterday, with coffee and shared cake. Littlest granddaughter chose the trolley she wanted to sit in and ate the icing off her bakewell tart, but not much else! We were looking at the birthday cards and she chose one with a picture of a very pink and fluffy sheep on it. The nursery rhyme is now Baa baa pink sheep!
I’ll go for a walk this morning, change the sheet and duvet cover and get them washed.

We’re off out first thing to sit in with the DGC whilst DD2 goes to the gym. They don’t really need much looking after these days, more just keeping the peace and being there is they need us. After that we’re going for a walk by the river in town and a bit of shopping.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where its dry and mild at 8°C rising to 16°C according to Alexa. We feel energised after our holiday. Himself was singing just now whilst brewing up. Nice to hear.

We plan to see the little family later this afternoon at some stage. We have presents for the grandchildren. 😁

I popped into our independent pharmacy when we got home to find they’ve become ‘state of the art’ with an automated dispensing set up, activated by screen. ‘Our new robot’ the pharmacist laughed, “it’s brilliant tech, no other pharmacy has this for mikes around”. Wow!

Also CCTV cameras have been installed at our development, one at either entrance door and one at both entrance corridors to both lifts. When we bought, there was 24/7 manned security owing to this being town centre dwelling. It got removed several years ago and we have all been arguing with the management company ever since. Anyway we have a win since Trafford Councul got involved and sided with us. Installation has cost £8k apparently and the cost isn’t being passed on to us. Hurrah!
