Good morning Mick and all who follow. Another moonlit night in Cheshire, although I don't think it's frosty. That sounds like quite a busy day actually Mick!

As I mentioned yesterday I've had my GS this weekend. When he arrived home from watching football with his friends I was already in bed and dozing. He mentioned something about sending for takeaway, but I didn't take much notice. He had a feast as I could see from the packages in the recycling!

Just going to go with the flow today. DD will come at some point to collect DGS and we'll have time for a chat about the planned Easter break away. Looking forward to time with the family.

No further news about my sister's planned open-heart surgery. She seemed calm when I spoke to her. I would have sent her a text already as she said it's too noisy to sleep, but don't want to risk it being the very time she's nodded off.

So best wishes for a good day to all, and specially kind thoughts for those struggling with pain or worries.

Good morning from a very frosty Bristol. There has been an icy wind too.
Yesterday was a bit full, what with the coffee and chat and church “weekend”. I came home for lunch be for the start of the thing and managed a nap because it was a bit full on, finishing just before 10pm. I was given a lift home by a very kind lady.
DH would have been thrilled at the rugby results!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where there is a lovely sunrise and a frost on the car. Yesterday’s day in Lincoln with DD and the menfolk was very enjoyable. It was nice to have a day out. I managed to get up the long, very aptly named Steep Hill (1 in 6!!) to the Cathedral with only one stop for a breather. It’s small by comparison with Salisbury and York but no less majestic. We even managed to find the Lincoln Imp hidden high up in the stone work. When we got home, I was so tired I fell asleep in my chair.
Today will be a quiet day. Housework to do and a small shop at Aldi, then perhaps a bit of work in the garden if it’s not too cold. Today is Derby Day for our city’s two football teams. GS and SiL are going. I hope there’s no trouble.

Good morning from Malta where the high is only expected to reach 18°C. A bit of a drop from yesterday’s 27°C.

The warm weather seemed to spur me into a bout of spring cleaning and I literally didn’t stop all day.

Everything that could be washed, dusted or mopped was done. Several loads of laundry all dried very quickly outside and I even ironed it all as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed Michael McIntyre last night. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he was so funny we laughed until we cried! He’s much better live than on tv. It was good to see so many people enjoying the show and just being happy.

Got home in time to watch Alcaraz v Draper. A bit of a shock result but the best man won.

Meeting a friend for coffee before Mass this morning after which the usual FaceTime with my pal in Leicester.

Good morning from a frosty spot in south Glos, ice on the cars was sparkling in the moonlight when I looked out the window in the middle of the night. A restless night, exasperated with myself as for no reason I can think of.
The dog and I had a great five mile walk early yesterday, bright sunshine and frosty, lots of ransom (wild garlic) appearing in the woods alongside the old road so I must pick some on my next walk.
I will start sorting out what I need to take to Wales this week, we’ll be away for two nights so thankfully a small bag will be sufficient. The stuff for the dog and the new little one will take up more space I suspect! I have told DH I refuse to do any cooking, we’ll be eating out except for breakfast.
I have a little bit of gardening I need to finish so I’ll do that later.
I have absolutely no idea what we’re having for dinner, there’s plenty in the freezer so it’ll be pot luck 😋

Good morning from s somerset, cold and sunny today

My gathering yesterday was wonderful, everyone was very happy and I loved the interaction. My planned catering was spot on, I did not cook anything, it was based on picnic food, all organic, vegan and minus sesame, heated when needed. Really it was so nice and so much easier for me. Bamboo plates, hardly any washing up. Two stayed later and they cooked a quick chefie meal. Nothing was over the top and I went to bed at my usual time. No stress, none at all

Two are coming back later today, I have enough left in the fridge and plenty of salad and veg. I am hoping to off-load some sewing books as one has learnt to sew.

Shed paint arrived yesterday, yuk, I am going to have to paint my allotment shed and need to take a ladder there. I will do that on tuesday, just grit my teeth and get on with it

An easy day today, lots of chatting, no worries about food and very good company

Good morning all. 1deg at the moment in Glasgow but will warm up as the day goes on. Possibly some sunshine.

I spent most of yesterday foutering and tidying up outside with sunshine all day. Going at my own pace with coffee breaks and lunch in a sun filled garden room with both doors wide open.
DD1 and Millie dog arrived in the afternoon. All in all I had a perfect, constructive day. What a difference some sunshine can make. Hopefully a repeat of yesterday.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. There is a heavy frost. I hope it melts before I set off for church later or I’ll be scraping the windscreen of my car.

Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful weekend Karma.

After church (the smallest in the Benefice with links to Campion) I’ll be mainly reading the paper. At some point I’ll make dinner - a new recipe involving chicken, lemons, vegetables and garlic and ouzo (that tiny pasta that looks like rice).

OH is still doing well. I think he is pleasantly surprised that he isn’t suffering the side effects he was warned about!

karma, I bought a paint spray gun for such tasks including garden furniture and I was amazed at how quickly such tasks were done compared to the time spent painting by hand.

Greyduster, when DH and I went to Lincoln before COVID, we were very amused at the cafe half way up Steep Hill, called “Base Camp”! Is it still there?

Good Morning from Durham. It’s a grey, drizzly start here.
A good walk with Little Dog first, then I’m off for a late lunch with both DDs and DGSs - a belated present swap for DD1 and my birthdays and DD2’s half birthday (don’t ask). We just realised on Friday that the venue will be rammed with locals watching the football on big screens! We pre-booked the casual restaurant and a soft play session, but parking could be tricky. Fingers crossed for the Toon to win - this time!
Yesterday, DD2, DGS2 and I visited her MinL who is having a break in a local Care Home. It was like a 5* Hotel, but I was saddened to see how frail she is now, with an horrendous illness, that will only get worse. Those of us who ail very little should be so grateful.

Yesterday went well enough. Welsh motorway traffic busy for a while because of the rugby in Cardiff. Enjoyed our NT stroll, happy with headstone cleaning and tidying, a decent meal and home again by 4. Not a bad day other than the rugby outcome for Mr C. Oh dear. Flight information tells me the travellers reached their final destination while I was sound asleep. Apparently they landed in heat which would have been welcome, the accompanying rain less so.

No real plans for today. I should do some ironing, will potter outside when it warms up a bit. A gentle day.

A wonderful weekend for you karma. Hope there’s news soon sallyforth, waiting is hard. Not surprise you fell asleep greyd, that’s quite a climb.

Good morning from a bright and very frosty midlands. It’s DH!s birthday today. I’m making his favourite beef bouginion for dinner tonight. He doesn’t want to go anywhere so it will be a long day! My headache has been bad during the night with hardly any sleep. I’m Fedup but painting a smile on my face.
I did get my jumper finished yesterday which is made with leftover wool.

Yesterday’s walk was lovely at a National Trust property it was bitterly cold but sunny. Today DD2 is coming round for Sunday roast and a catch up. She is struggling at the moment so hoping we can cheer her up.

Good morning everyone from a sunny but frosty mid Essex. I’ve been awake since 5 o’clock again, this is getting to be a habit! Today would have been my DH’s birthday, I took flowers to the churchyard for him yesterday. It was bitterly cold and took me ages to warm up when I got home.
Today three of the granddaughters have Kung Fu grading, at different times of course so both families are occupied for most of the day! DD2 will pop in this morning to help me clear the meter cupboard in readiness for Smart meters being installed next week, hopefully! British Gas have cancelled the appointment twice, so fingers crossed it’s third time lucky! If it’s not too cold I might venture into the garden, otherwise I’ll be ironing and cleaning.

Thank you SO much Kalu. Makita does a cordless sprayer and I have makita batteries. I am going to order it today. I would never have thought of that, will make that job very much easier and quicker.

A friend is popping in for tea and chat around lunch time, we met over the garden fence 45 years ago. DD and boys are here for a late Sunday roast (6pm) I have been asked by the GC to make extra stuffing!

Good morning from a bright and frosty Suffolk. I hope the chill wind of yesterday has disappeared.

DS and tribe are ‘popping over’ later this morning and will have a snack. DGD3,aged 14 has been quite poorly recently with what is thought to be glandular fever. She freaked out apparently when the GP tried to take blood,a test being the only way of a definite diagnosis.

Luckily she is feeling better now and her appetite is returning. I had a message from her yesterday wondering if I thought I’d have time before today to make an apple crumble as she really fancied it adding “ I already know yours would be the best”. How could I refuse?

Have found some blackberries lurking in the freezer so I’ll add those and they can take it home for their pudding this evening.

I watched a lady online painting a fence with half a sponge - the yellow car washing sort that she simply cut in half. It was messy, but wearing rubber gloves, amazingly quick. I’m going to try that when the weather improves.
DH who had few, if any DIY skills, used a paint sprayer to treat the inside of our garden fence. Of course he forgot that the product would be forced between the gaps and sprayed my white car with stripes!! Luckily, he soon realised what he’d done and we were able to wash it off before it dried!

Good morning Mick and all from a rather grey Carlisle where the sun keeps trying to get out.
Yesterday I made a very early trip to Sainsbury's having failed to get onto GN as I just couldn't connect. I had to de-ice my car but that didn't take too long for once. Then it was back to my usual phone chat with my sister who is having expensive dog problems.
I got out in the garden after lunch and planted some heathers...all my heathers are in bloom now and looking colourful, the bees are starting to be busy on them.
Today, a day of leisure after I've been for a walk shortly. I've the papers and some magazines to read and a book to get on with after that.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and cloudy. A disappointment after the bright, sunny days of last week. I'm loving the painting suggestions Kalu and Georgesgran.
Yesterday I was a veritable domestic goddess. Everything accomplished and more. Then I spent time reading one of my new library books.
Today I've been awake for a few hours, so started another book. I'll hang out the cushion covers which I washed last night, if it brightens up. Dd is going to nip in with dgs2 who misses me. Then this afternoon I'll visit mum, taking a permanent marker to sort her clothes. Dd ordered name tags but they haven't arrived yet. Pork chop again for dinner. Have a good day all
