He has been found guilty of harassing and stalking a female journalist, assaulting an off duty police officer and was threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour when he started a brawl involving 100 football houligans.

It's not just his views I don't like. That said, everyone should be safe in prison, even if they do spend their life frightening and hurting other people and making enemies of huge swathes of the population. Nobody here has said that shouldn't be the case.

Some of us do not excuse any crime using a right wing agenda as a balance for our own judgement. Rather, we go with the understanding that a crime is a crime and while a sentence might be shortened on good behaviour that does include showing an ability to be accountable for said crimes.

The only reason this individual is interested is not because he is bothered about these abused young people but it’s another way to promote racism in this country.

I’m just a vacuous person. I still say if someone, anyone, is speaking up for oppressed young women, good for them. As I said, priorities. We don’t get much news here about the UK which is one of the reasons I am on Gransnet. We hear loads about the US, China,the Middle East and the Ukraine instead and that is pretty bleak. Don’t really want to hear about people in jail over in Europe. We have more than our share of criminals here.

Still scary that we, as a voting public, don't keep up with the news. Robinson has been very vocal for years and the subject of many news items and documentaries. It really no wonder how extremists grab minds so easily.

He lives a long way away in another country and besides, I don’t care who or what he is if he draws attention to abuse of young girls. Priorities.I don’t vote in the UK, not since 1970. I doubt anyone here has heard of him, we have our own news.
