Good morning from Bristol.
Looks like we shall see some sun ☀️ today, though the temperatures are falling again.
Tesco this morning, with Home Instead film this afternoon.
I’m trying to rest as I’m very tired from the last fortnight of being very busy.
Have a good day all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Grandmabatty Mon 24-Mar-25 05:52:04

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and dry. There's a nice red tinged sky appearing.
Yesterday was tiring with the boys. After they were picked up, I had a nap and then an early night.
Early childcare day ahead. Then a couple of hours in the school library. I might visit mum or leave it til tomorrow. I have a quiet week ahead for which I'm grateful. Have a good day everyone

Sallyforth Mon 24-Mar-25 05:53:29

Good morning Mick and everyone from a cold, but bright morning in Cheshire. There's a slight frost in the roof tops but not at ground level. Didn't think to put the covers on the cordylines but fingers crossed. They're beautiful but do need care in our climate. Plenty of sunshine later.

Today is an easy morning, giving a lift to a neighbour for the London train and dentist for crown to be fitted this afternoon. The pain in my bank account will be more than the tooth!

My DD couldn't get a delivery of flowers for next weekend so I got my Mother's Day flowers yesterday. Two vases full of every kind of daffodil and narcissus Exquisite!

Wishing all the best day possible. Specially kind thoughts for those with worries or pain. flowers

Good morning from Malta where it’s an overcast day and everything is covered in Saharan sand after some dirty rain overnight.

I’ve just arrived to watch the boys so that’s my day taken care of.

Have a good day all.☀️

Ashcombe Mon 24-Mar-25 06:16:53

Good morning from a chilly but dry Torbay with sunshine forecast for later.

I’m glad you busy ladies are easing up a little as you give out so much to others, grandMattie and Grandmabatty. Sometimes taking a step back, even briefly, is enough to help you revive.

Good luck at the dentist, Sallyforth.

And wishing everyone as good a week as possible. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

RosesandLilac Mon 24-Mar-25 06:21:34

Good morning from a damp and dull-skied spot in south Glos.
A quiet day yesterday, enjoying having tiddler and walking the dogs. More of the same today though starting with taking tiddler for her introductory vet appointment and a walk in the big parkland afterwards.
I will walk Annie before we go, DH has to get new car tyres so he’s leaving early.
I will do some bits in the garden later, just tidying around and maybe have a sit in the summerhouse too 😊
Hoping for sunshine today 🌹

Kalu Mon 24-Mar-25 06:27:55

Good morning all. Currently 4deg. In Glasgow but a dry. Calm sunny day is forecast.

I had a quiet weekend and with no plans for today apart from a small Waitrose shop, that’s it.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

kittylester Mon 24-Mar-25 06:32:07

Good morning all from a very chilly North Leicestershire.

DH is going to the gym this morning while I shall pootle and faff. This afternoon I have a Carer Course. This session is on benefits, wills and poa - a fun session!!

Have the best day possible everyone.

karmalady Mon 24-Mar-25 06:41:25

Good morning from s somerset, bright and dry today

First yesterday was an early trip to the plot, to offload

Mission accomplished yesterday, I have a clean car, I did drive 17 miles round trip to get the outside properly washed, it was worth it. Freezer emptying has started, needs to be done by june and I made a very large lamb casserole for ready meals, the type which just needs a piece of bread to mop up the juices

Traybake made and portioned for the freezer, can always rely on Mary Berry.

I think I am expecting a delivery today and nothing else is planned. I will do some spinning and reading and watch the garden grow

Have a good day

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset. Brighter later if the forecast is accurate

Another hour in the garden yesterday before tackling life admin. Quiet and productive. Mr C slept the afternoon away and was asleep again at 9. I’m frustrated at the lack of annual cardiac check and may ask the GP to chase as we can get no response. Mr C of course insists he’s fine.

Quiet one today. Quick trip out for a hearing aid adjustment for Mr C, a very efficient plumber calling this afternoon to sort our malfunctioning toilet flush. She always calls if she’s going to be early or late and usually arrives exactly at the time promised. Not sure what I’ll do in between, maybe finally tackle some filing and get the shredder out.

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Greyduster Mon 24-Mar-25 06:44:36

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Another murky start in South Yorkshire. I was very tired yesterday after the family left though they always pitch in and clear up after the meal. It was lovely to have them here. Everyone very relaxed.
I have a physio appointment this morning; fortunately not far from home, so not a long drive. Later I will hope to get out into the garden for a bit.
Have the best day you can, folks.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 24-Mar-25 06:48:17

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry but seems a bit chilly. Alexa says it’s 2°C now and will be 13°C later.

Will our passports arrive today? Place your bets …. 🤷‍♀️
The fridge is empty so if they don’t come Himself will have to nip into the larder below so we can eat tonight! 😂

glammagran Mon 24-Mar-25 06:57:44

Good morning from a chillier Wiltshire.

My son-in-laws American aunt died suddenly at the end of last week. She was only in her early 60’s. The family are devastated. We met her at DD2’s wedding last September - she was so vivacious.

I’ve ordered a jumper from Crew which is cotton and hope will be ideal for our April cruise. However I return as many items as I keep. It’s frustrating not living closer to a proper shopping centre.

Today will be school pickup for DGD3. She’s always good fun.

Nice to see you back and feeling better Ashcombe. Hope those with illness and difficulty have a far better week.

brook2704 Mon 24-Mar-25 06:58:49

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry sunny start to the day
I’ll be out most of the day today, at DD2s first thing to help with a few things and then I’ve a volunteering session this afternoon
Hoping the passports arrive Fgt and you can get away very soon!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

RosieandherMaw Mon 24-Mar-25 06:59:02

Good morning all from N Bucks where it’s grey and cool. Seems windier too, I heard it in the night.
Rosie has a trip to the vet today for her boosters and 6 monthly health check. Also a nail trim so the full MOT!
Not much else planned I’m afraid - lots of nothing!
Wishing you all a gentle slide into the new week - nearly April! shock

GrannyGravy13 Mon 24-Mar-25 07:01:18

Morning all from an overcast S E Essex, apparently it’s meant to brighten up.

Off to the gym first thing, school pick up and bring them back here for a while.

Other than that no plans.

I hope our Marydoll is ok 🌸

baubles Mon 24-Mar-25 07:05:02

Good morning from bright and dry South Lanarkshire.

Fingers crossed for you FGT.

Charity shop this morning as I’m helping with childminding for the next few days.

This evening I’m meeting a friend for a well overdue catch up over an early dinner.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Redcar Mon 24-Mar-25 07:08:38

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s dry, mild and cloudy at the moment, but sunshine is forecast for later. I didn’t go for a walk yesterday as my back was aching a lot. DD1 and family came over for a snack lunch, in between their other commitments. DSil had time to strim the lawn edges, so the garden looks tidier. The grass needs another cut and I hope my friend will do that this week.
I need to go out today to the pharmacy to collect my meds and to the post office. I’m determined to walk to both, they’re in different directions so it will be a challenge.
fgt I hope your passports arrive today.
sallyforth I hope your dental appointment goes well, a definite “ouch” for your bank account!
Have the best day possible everyone.

luluaugust Mon 24-Mar-25 07:11:20

Good morning from a misty, grey W Kent. Cleaner arriving first thing and hopefully the builders will be back today but could be tomorrow. I have boxed up a lot of books to be sold on but it makes little difference to shelf space, must try harder. I am going through them and getting rid of anything with small print. Managed to persuade DH to do the same and also look at the CDs
Best wishes all round

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 24-Mar-25 07:11:35

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It doesn’t feel cold and there isn’t a frost.

We enjoyed the film Black Bag yesterday. We’ve booked to see a one off showing of Conclave on Wednesday. I saw it on the plane but OH would like to see it - I don’t mind watching it twice.

Our cleaner can’t come today but our gardener should be here at noon.

Have a good day - I do hope Mary D sees her GP today.

Ashcombe Mon 24-Mar-25 07:26:29

GrannyGravy13: if I remember correctly, Marydoll said she planned on taking a break because she felt poorly and didn't want to post while she was understandably feeling down.

BlueSapphire Mon 24-Mar-25 07:27:42

Good morning everyone from a very grey and cloudy Northampton, but sun is expected later.

A very lazy day yesterday; it was good to have nothing planned. Caught up with the weekend newspapers, and several recorded programmes; I am eagerly watching the Prof Alice Roberts series 'Ancient Greece by train', as she is covering a few of the places I shall be visiting on my cruise.

Yoga this morning, then coffee at the little cafe round the corner.
Hope to catch up with reading this afternoon.
Have no idea what to cook for dinner.....

Have a pleasant day everyone.

EkwaNimitee Mon 24-Mar-25 07:35:37

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle.
Yesterday was a very dull day weather-wise and very breezy too. I stayed in, doing admin, reading and one or two necessary little jobs.

Today, I break the back of the routine weekly jobs of laundry and vacuuming, maybe more...My desk still looks like a storm has hit it so that too needs my attention. At some point the window cleaner will come, thankfully, the day should be dry.

This afternoon I want to get out in the garden. I hope it's warming up, I felt cold yesterday with the sudden drop in temperature. The plants don't seem bothered, flowers and leaves are bursting out all over. The blackbirds appear to be nesting over the fence and regularly appear to gobble the daily apple I put out for them.

I wish you all the best possible day especially to those of you struggling healthwise.
