Good morning from Malta where it is raining and hazy due to high levels of sand in the air. This week is not looking good weather wise.

Had a good day with the boys yesterday despite the weather. They are great fun and certainly kept me busy as they took separate naps and lunch times.😄

I’m just having a coffee before braving the elements to go over to look after them. The trouble with rain is you can’t spot the pot holes in the road!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Pantglas2 Wed 26-Mar-25 05:39:16

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a rather moist ☔️ Malta…Bellasnana’s best efforts at the weatherbarn were in vain yesterday but amazingly it stayed dry whilst we trotted around Valletta and enjoying delicious lunch 😋

More rain promised today so a trip to the Aquarium is planned and there’s a classic cars museum that Mr PG’s got his eye on - Mdina and a Sunday market beckon 🤗

Hope all ospital appointments went smoothly and good to see Miss MD posting in spite of her trials - nil carborundum etc.

Hotel has an indoor pool and spa which may come into their own if 🌞 declines to make an appearance later this week!

Good morning from a dry Bristol. This is the time of year when I never know what to wear not to be too hot/cold…
Yesterday was something *else! I got to town a little early, did a spot of shopping had lunch in my new fave cafe and went to the Eye hospital for my checkup at 1330.
It wasn’t too long before I was seen then had the drops put in, then again seem for a second time for a photo of the back of both eyes, then seen by the specialist who wanted a blood test to eliminate reasons for the inflammation. Then to have blood taken - mercifully, I didn’t need to go to the nearby general hospital for that!
When I got to the bus stop 4 hours later, several possible buses had been cancelled. Curiously, one of the cancelled buses turned up a couple of minutes later. What then took the biscuit, was a crash on the road out of town. They are all very narrow, single lane mostly. It took me an hour to get home.
Just on time to have a bowl of (homemade) soup before rushing off to my prayer meeting in church. This was then immediately followed by a PCC meeting.
Normally these last barely an hour, but last night? Oh no, over 90 minutes. I was wiped out by the time I got home. (It was interesting to hear that my marmalade sales raised over £500 last year…)
Today, other than the FAB cafe, I’ve got nothing other than a touch of vegetating planned!
I hope all of you have a serene day. FGT I hope your passports have arrived, Susan, your surgery went well!, MD, your mouth improves, Ash that all goes well your end, and everyone else has good things happening to them.
Carpe diem ❤️🦩🦩🦩🦩

Oh, and I’ve been signed off and can have a new glasses prescription! Yippeeee

Ashcombe Wed 26-Mar-25 05:59:06

Good morning from Torbay where temperatures are improving with sunshine more evident yesterday.

DH arrived home safely in France yesterday evening after a very smooth journey in which all the connections went as planned. He had begun making a casserole before leaving here yesterday morning and I was pleased to add chopped, cooked vegetables to make a tasty meal. Since hospital I’ve discovered that I cope better with having my main meal midday because I’m so tired in the evenings.

It sounds like you are making the best of your visit to Malta despite the weather having other ideas, Pantglas2. I loved Valletta and found the architecture fascinating.

I hope grandMattie's eye check up went well and that Susan is recovering well from her surgery. Thoughts with Marydoll and any others going through pain.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Ashcombe Wed 26-Mar-25 06:02:20

That was a day and a half, grandMattie but a good outcome regarding your eyes! Take it easy, today, if possible, you busy lady! 💐

Good morning Mick, the early birds in Malta and all who follow. It's only 3C here in Cheshire but it's good to waken up to lighter mornings.

This morning I have acupuncture and then a shopping trip into Liverpool. I'm wanting a new phone with a better camera, as my friend takes fabulous photos of the same scenes as I, but the difference is amazing.

Lunch in a French restaurant with two old colleagues will be the highlight of my day.

My poor sister is still on bed rest and observations in hospital, so I'm off to have our morning call.

Wishing all a good day and may those with pain or worries find some respite today. flowers

Good morning from s somerset, a spring-like day today, clouds and sun

My deliveries are in my car and I shall be off to my plot for the whole of this morning, finishing structure tweaks, the last raised bed and paths to finish. Then I take covers off, hoping for some rain before next wednesday when my nematodes will arrive, they like it damp

I did a lot of spinning yesterday and watched an enjoyable film on prime called the bookshop. I will be glad to be outside in the sun today

Have a good day

Good morning from a dull Black Country.

Arrived home last night at 10pm. Flight should have taken off at 2.20pm, but left 90 minutes late. Sat on the plane all that time. At least home safe and sound.

After a lovely relaxed time, it is now back to normality. Washing machine will be on shortly. Only took a 10kg bag each and it was more than adequate, plus rucksack. So straight out the Airport and no wating at the Carousel.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Wed 26-Mar-25 06:29:15

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and a bit foggy. I can’t see the Pennines. We are enjoying TIB and toast as we have woken up before the alarm which was set for 6:45am. We always seem todo this - anyone else? It must be our subconscious thinking about it!

Anyway we are off to Manchester airport at 8am, I just need to book the taxi, dress, make up and lock the front door! Málaga (and sunshine) here we come. 🌞✈️🍹

Kalu Wed 26-Mar-25 06:30:40

Good morning all. Fairly mild but mostly cloudy today in Glasgow.

No idea what to wear either GM. Shopping in Waitrose yesterday I was fully attired in winter clothing, despite the sun it was still very chilly. I was surprised to see a few people wearing light clothing/Tshirts even. They must have a built in central heating system if they don’t feel the cold that others do.
Gathering more junk to take to the tip and a charity shop drop off today.

Enjoy your break in Malaga Mr&Mrs FGT. Thank goodness your passports came through on time. Buen vieje.

Best wishes to all for a good day and a less troublesome one for those with worries and struggles.

kittylester Wed 26-Mar-25 06:45:03

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner is due at 9 and DH is off to the gym. I have a singing lesson later and am then going to Sainsbury's to take advantage of their 25% wine offer.

The garden is looking lovely today after our gardener's visit yesterday.

Have the best day possible everyone.

RosesandLilac Wed 26-Mar-25 06:47:47

Good morning, it’s a bright and Blu-sky hillside here in south Glos, looking like a nice dry day here so the washing will dry nicely today.
Yesterday I gave the kitchen a good tidy and a bit of rearranging, it’s looking much nicer. Tiddler is settling in very well, she’s so inquisitive and fascinated in everything- she sits by the pond (well netted) watching the goldfish, I don’t suppose she’s ever seen them before, and enjoys snoozing in the sun on the patio. We took the two dogs out for a walk together yesterday, absolutely fine together, met several friends who have dogs and tiddler just took everything in her stride.
Today we might have a coffee at the village cafe I think, another new place for her.
Housework as usual today too, grocery delivery at lunchtime.
Wishing you all a peaceful day 🌹

RosesandLilac Wed 26-Mar-25 06:48:08

Blu?! Blue….🙄

Georgesgran Wed 26-Mar-25 06:48:59

Good Morning from Durham. A cool, sunny start to what is forecast a cloudy day later. Not sure they’ve got that right. Friend’s cataract procedure went smoothly yesterday, but her health anxiety is off the scale. My passport arrived safely - 4 working days - very impressed.

Today is a quiet one, I’m going to wander around Newcastle, then watch DGS2’s swimming lesson. I’ll take DD2’s clean laundry with me, exchange it for the next lot and come home with her Little Dog for his regular sleepover.

Safe travels FGT
Hoping our poorlies are a little better - small steps.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

We are off to the cinema again for an 11 am showing of Conclave. I saw it on the plane but I’m happy to see it once more.

Later on this afternoon we will take Milo and Ripley to the vet for their annual checkup and vaccinations.

Have a good day everyone. I envy you FFT2 flying off to the sun!

Grandmabatty Wed 26-Mar-25 06:51:51

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° and looks damp. FGT safe journey. GrandMattie a very busy day for you. I'm glad your eyes are ok. Kalu I need to do a charity shop run too.
Yesterday I didn't achieve just as much as I hoped. I felt a bit flat and tired. However the boys and I found a use for a heavy duty cardboard box! It was a beautiful day weather wise and we were outside after school/nursery.
Today I'm back at nursery as a visitor, having breakfast with dgs2. I'll look forward to my water and cereal.😂 I will have my two coffees first. Then a visit to mum. Then back to school in the early afternoon to work in the library. It's nearly finished and what a difference there is! Dinner will be something out of the freezer. Have a good day all.

Greyduster Wed 26-Mar-25 06:51:59

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. There’s a light frost on the car this morning but the sun is doing its best. I have to be out early this morning, and then I have writers group this afternoon. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.
Have the best day you can folks!

cornergran Wed 26-Mar-25 06:53:26

Morning Mick, morning All. A bright day ahead for our corner of Somerset.

A very kind surgery physio was able to confirm shoulder issues are rotator cuff based, some exercises to do and I’m to report back in 6 weeks. Chatting with her about my fear of wasting her and other medics time with what seem like non stop appointments I was told firmly not to be so foolish. It helped - a little.

We’re wandering out today, finishing our wanderings with our daughter in law for a brief catch up while our grandson is in his post school haze. He needs his quiet time re-set routine after a noisy day school.

Good news about your eyes grandmattie also that your husband arrived safely ash. A shame about the weather pantglas, sounds as if your plans will work around it though. Good for you.

Mr C is stirring. Time to head for the kettle.

Have the best day you can everyone, hope Wednesday is gentle with us all. .

GrannyGravy13 Wed 26-Mar-25 06:59:02

Morning all, blue sky and sun here in S E Essex.

Bed change and gym first thing, the 10 hr old is here this evening for his weekly sleepover.

This afternoon who knows 🤷‍♀️

I sorted out the first aid box yesterday. Oh dear, 40% was binned as many many years out of date, now need to go to Boots and restock.

Wish I g you a safe journey to your happy place FGT2 and himself 🛫

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Redcar Wed 26-Mar-25 07:08:14

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, still a bit cloudy here at the moment but sun forecast for the day.
Not sure what to do today, I may go to the garden centre to get a few things, then I may do a little gardening.
I’m pleased you can now get new specs grandmattie
Enjoy your happy place fgt.
Have a good day everyone, I hope that those in pain find some relief today.

Grammaretto Wed 26-Mar-25 07:19:26

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
I hope it's as lovely as yesterday. I managed at least an hour in the garden, mostly knitting and watching the noisy gulls eyeing my roof.

The auctioneer came and was much more knowledgeable than I expected.
He told me what would sell and roughly what for. I had labelled the items. Houses are smaller now and it's the smaller furniture in good condition which is popular.

I then had to rescue a friend whose car had "blown up" and she needed a lift home.

The end of term Gaelic class was good fun with a quiz and "party pieces". I had translated a poem my DGS had written, into Gaelic. It didn't rhyme 🤣

gMattie what an asset you are to your church community. I'm glad your eye appointment went well but a long journey and tiring day.

How delightful to watch Tiddler enjoying her new life Roses

Wishing everyone a good day.

luluaugust Wed 26-Mar-25 07:21:49

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Yesterday’s trip out to a small jewellers resulted in a necklace and earrings set for DIL’s 50th birthday which is soon. We then went to our favourite garden and had lunch. Today have a friend coming for tea this morning and then a trip to the optician, like gM I need to sort out post cataract op readers
Safe journey FGT
Cornergran glad you have had some help with your shoulder
Best wishes

Good morning all and it’s looking like a lovely day ☀️.
Dh will go fishing 👍.

School drop off and I’ll walk up to town , pop into the bank, meet my pal for a coffee and wander around the market.

Choir tonight and we’re having a mini concert for family and friends. I must have a little practice .

Happy holidays Pants and FGT.
It sounds like your little dog is settling in just fine RosesandLilac.
Enjoy your cereal and water GB.😉

Take care and enjoy the day.🌱
