Anyone else have constant problems with this carrier ? I would prefer to spend a little more on carriage rather than retailers using this company.
As of this am. rose bush ordered on the 21/3 still "on the way " , no update. Email from M&S to let me know delivery will be later than expected.
Drives me mad.

My DPD delivery driver is a gorgeous big Eastern European called Claudiu who greets me with a friendly "Hello Maw, how are you?" as he brings the huge box of dog food into the kitchen and has even greeted me by name when we passed each other in the High St recently.
5* every time!

Yes I quite like Evri. Royal Mail is probably my least favourite on recent experiences, particularly for sending parcels.

No problem here.

Like Mathilda Evri dare either very good or very bad and when they are bad they are diabolical. I dread anything coming from Evri as most of the time it won’t come properly.

Evri are not dare

I’ve had trouble with them - dumping a parcel on someone else’s doorstep.
If there’s a Royal Mail option I always choose that, even if it costs a bit more. Our local service is very good.

Just to add, I regularly send parcels via RM Click and drop - postman collects - outer SW London to rural E Yorks. I have sent dozens and virtually all have arrived the following day.

I'm having problems ATM with a returned parcel.
It was handed over to the courier and then on the updated returns it said I didn't want it returned so it looks like I've kept it. Tried to speak to someone on the phone but no good , they do it all by Email and then get the problem wrong. Grrr.

I have a lovely Evri driver very polite and helpful so no complaints.

We’ve had no problems at all with Evri. They deliver millions of items a day so it’s inevitable that there’ll be glitches. When I think of the hundreds of deliveries we’ve had over the years, often next day, sometimes the same day, I’m just very glad of the service we get from all delivery people.

The delivery companies are usually blamed for shortcomings with the supplier. If M & S have been in touch to say your order’s been delayed, it looks as though that’s what’s happening here.

I think Amazon are using other carriers now and it's causing some problems.
A shopping trolley should have been delivered in a 2 hour slot last night but didn't turn up.
Guess the traffic slowed them down.

We have an excellent, friendly reliable delivery driver from Evri.

Cateq Wed 02-Apr-25 13:20:20

We must be very lucky our local Evri courier is first rate and has been with them for 20+ years. The only time I had an issue with Evri was when a package was delivered by a temp courier, who failed to deliver the parcel to my house, got a refund straight away from the supplier and on hindsight the items I’d ordered weren’t really needed.

Other delivery companies have caused us more problems such as DPD, who delivered a bed my son had ordered from wayfair to the wrong address and then a few weeks later left my son’s new iPhone on the same doorstep. We managed to retrieve both items.

Yodel also left an expensive item on our front doormat even though we’d advised them of our safe place.

knspol Wed 02-Apr-25 13:36:28

Evri are usually very good in this area it's Yodel that throw things over the gates, post on line that nobody was at home when I've been sat there waiting and all the other usual excuses.

Astitchintime Wed 02-Apr-25 13:39:58

Evri is dire here........I was out when a panel was delivered but I got a message with a photo attached claiming they'd left the parcel in my shed! It was put on a window ledge for all the world to see........and we didn't even have a shed at the time! Complaining gets you absolutely nowhere with Evri! Dreadful service operated by liars!

mabon1 Wed 02-Apr-25 13:44:25

On a number of occasions Evri have left parcels in plain sight at my front door which have disappeared before I returned home. Yes there was a photograph on my email, nevertheless they were stolen. I have a garage, they could have been left in it.

Dearknees1 Wed 02-Apr-25 13:52:43

Varies according to area. Evri is good here.

Flakesdayout Wed 02-Apr-25 13:55:24

My Evri delivery man is brilliant. He lives not far from me and I am usually last on his route. He knows where to leave my parcel should I not be in. I cannot fault him.

Barmeyoldbat Wed 02-Apr-25 13:58:12

Hate them, always had problems with them. So now when I order anything I ask who delivers, if it’s them then I don’t order. Now I buy most things from Amazon, good delivering and very quick refunding

Aldom Wed 02-Apr-25 13:58:15

My Evri delivery man is cheerful, polite and efficient. Prior to this delivery man we had a lady, equally good.

Nanato3 Wed 02-Apr-25 14:18:22

I never get the same courier twice . If anything goes wrong they don't want to know. You're told to contact the company you ordered from. Terrible service.

karmalady Wed 02-Apr-25 14:21:17

It depends on your local delivery people. I rate evri 100%, the most reliable and consistently nice

rowyn Wed 02-Apr-25 14:22:56

I don't use them that often, but they always deliver as expected. - so far - just received 36 toilet rolls, which I ordered yesterday.

Thisismyname1953 Wed 02-Apr-25 14:39:04

Our Evri courier is excellent . Me, my daughter and my granddaughter all had parcels delivered to our house today . We were told between 2.30 to 3.30 but then had a revised text to say between 2pm and 3pm. They arrived at 5 past 2 . Very good service .

leeds22 Wed 02-Apr-25 15:01:29

Our Evri driver is also excellent, as is our postie. It's DPD we have problems with - knock and run seems to be their method!
