Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but cold and dry here in brackley this morning.
Today apart from meals I will be watching cycling on TV for most of the day which features a cycle race around the Flanders fields in Belgium.
Yesterday I decided to do my own all day breakfast fry up .
Health Is OK ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a chilly, but dry Torbay.

A wise decision to cook your own breakfast, Mick. No doubt you enjoyed it and felt fortified for the day.

I hope to go to church this morning if my legs will get me there! It will be necessary to wrap up well against the persistent NE wind.

Thinking of those who are unwell. It sounds like your DH is having good treatment, Gingster. If you have the chance to look, this website might prove useful. I found it helpful when diagnosed with a stroke last year:-

A blessed Sunday to everyone. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Morning Mick, morning All. A sunny day forecast.

A quiet day yesterday with another to come today. If I can find my head I’ll potter through some admin before sitting in the conservatory enjoying a book

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good Morning from Durham. A cool start, rising to the dizzy heights of 10 degrees later.
No real plans with DD2 away and her Little Dog staying here.
A walk later and perhaps a bit of housework or gardening, but nothing too energetic!

Hoping those in the sick bay and those worrying about them have a better day.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from s somerset, wall to wall sunshine today

I did a couple of jobs yesterday, including cleaning and `feeding` my leather chairs. It all takes time, my windows still need doing but I will tackle them on a dull day. Still, I did sow some seeds, I am being fussy about the veggies I will be growing, tiny insects always win, I will leave those particular veg to the organic professionals

A longer cycle ride for me today, still windy so I will be using my e bike. I do like to see the awakening countryside, I will need to wear a buff around my face, to stop the insects going down my throat and to warm the cold air a bit.

One dd is safely back from her ultra marathon yesterday, the other has a challenging event today. One dgs can free dive to 20m, they always have a partner. Tbh I never want to know until after the event. He does this with his dad, part of a group. He is 17 and studying hard for A levels, planning for his future right now, possibly Sandhurst

Have a good day

Blossoming Sun 06-Apr-25 06:24:04

Good morning all, it’s still twilight here but I believe sunshine is forecast. I’m still in hospital, seeing a physio today hopefully. Have a happy Sunday 🌹and a Lancashire rose

Bellasnana Sun 06-Apr-25 06:38:15

Good morning from Malta where a sunny day is forecast with a high of 24°C.

Enjoyed coffee with my friend yesterday. She’s a lovely person who never seems to let anything get her down.

I did absolutely nothing in the afternoon as I dozed off on the sofa and woke up feeling good for nothing. Reading karma’s busy schedule puts me to shame.

Hope you get home soon blossoming and that you are feeling well.

I will go to Mass this morning after I’ve pushed the vacuum and steam mop round. Then my pal in Leicester will call for our weekly FaceTime chat.

Wishing a peaceful Sunday to all.☀️

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 1°C but it should warm up.

I drove my Helpers to Forfar yesterday to help unpack our community kiln. We picknicked on the farm in the sunshine and visited Arbroath where we bought smokies.

I left them at a tram stop near Edinburgh as they wanted to spend the weekend there.

Quaker meeting this morning. I shall make a big pot of soup but
I may just have a little longer in bed.

grin

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It has been lovely having our elder son and granddaughter staying. Wildlife park yesterday followed by a delicious barbecue at home. They are going for an early morning swim and then back to London.

I’m not sure what OH and I are doing for the rest of the day.

Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with difficulties.

RosesandLilac Sun 06-Apr-25 07:05:05

Good morning, a chilly but bright start here in south Glos, another beautiful sunny day today.
It was bitterly cold walking the dogs first thing yesterday, eye-watering. A quiet day, spent sitting in the summerhouse with tiddler, enjoying doing needlework and listening to an audiobook, all very relaxing.
DH mowed the lawns, one task less for me!
Today we’re going to the village for a coffee and cake during our dog walk, will catch up with people we see there regularly, all very convivial.
I have no idea what’s for dinner, there’s plenty in the fridge so I’m not bothered about what we have.
Enjoy the sunshine 🌹

Gingster Sun 06-Apr-25 07:19:46

Good morning all and Roseandlilac that wind was icy here in Essex too. 🥶. I hope it’s warmer today.

Dgd1 and I waited for a bus from the hospital and we were frozen.

Dh seems brighter and certainly enjoying hospital food. We all chose a horse for the Grand National whilst with him and ds2 put the bets on for us. dS1 picked the winner. 🏆.

I’m taking clothes in for him today and he’ll feel better without those hospital pj’s with poppers that keep popping undone! . 🤬. .

DS and family will visit this morning and I’ll drive up this afternoon as the parking will be easier today.

Thanks Ash I’ll look that site up. 👍

Take care all 🌷

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire but it is cold again. The wind was bitter yesterday. The gardener came and cut the front and back lawns and it all looks very tidy now. He’s a pleasant man and very helpful. Today DD et al are coming for a roast dinner, but first they are riding their bikes in the Peak District. I expect they will have worked up good appetites by the time they get here. As for me, I’ve done a lot of laundry this week (where does it come from? There’s only me!) and it won’t iron itself, so……
Have the best day you can, folks.

Redcar Sun 06-Apr-25 07:20:35

Good morning everyone from a sunny and chilly mid Essex. Only 4 degrees outside, but the heating hasn’t come on, the house is obviously warm enough.
My back was painful all day yesterday, after Friday’s exertions, but feels better today.
DD1 and family came yesterday afternoon and we sat in the garden, warmer than last weekend but still breezy. Her DH took some of the stuff I’d sorted out, to see if any of it could be used. A skip will be arranged for later in the spring/early summer.
I’ll go over the see DD2 and her girls this afternoon.

I hope the poorlies feel a bit better today. blossoming I hope you see the physio today and that they can arrange a home visit for you.
Have the best day possible everyone.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 06-Apr-25 07:23:13

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s already very sunny. Himself has a virulent stomach bug so he’s confined to barracks again today and obviously we won’t be lunching with my stepfather. Shame as we are back from holiday and he was looking forward to seeing us. Soon, I hope.

monk08 Sun 06-Apr-25 07:32:03

Good morning all from a sunny Black country where the wind appears to have dropped at last.
Today is our lovely DiLs birthday she is in Brighton cheering her friend on in the marathon, but she is looking forward to a birthday swim in the sea along with her swimming buddies the bluetits. We will go to theirs later for tea then stay on to look after the boys while they have a date night.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️.

brook2704 Sun 06-Apr-25 07:33:27

Good morning everyone from Inverness where the mist has just rolled in but a sunny day is forecast for later, I hope the very cold wind has lessened a bit
Looking forward to a catch up call with DS this morning, apart from that I’m not sure what we’re doing today, will see how the day unfolds
Hoping your DH makes good progress Gingster and your DH is feeling much better soon FGT
Blossoming thinking of you and hope you get a home visit soon
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

luluaugust Sun 06-Apr-25 07:37:18

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Our trip to the garden centre went well and we now have white heather to go in the front garden. As it was on our route home we popped into Waitrose and finished this weeks shop.
Today is a quiet day, chat to DB and a cooked lunch
Gingster glad your husband is progressing
FGT hope your husband is feeling better soon

JudyBloom Sun 06-Apr-25 07:39:57

Good morning, It is beautiful here in the south east of England. Take care and have the best day you can.

Jaxjacky Sun 06-Apr-25 07:47:20

Morning from a bright S Hants, cooler though.
MrJ is recovered from his week of a bad tum, bacon sandwich, bowls and two pints of Guinness yesterday, hope himself gets better soon FGT.
I’ve a bay tree to repot later, yesterday’s paper to finish off and a walk is on the cards.
Better news Gingster, well done the GN winner, our £1’s went to the bookies
🦩🦩

Kalu Sun 06-Apr-25 07:47:46

Good morning all. Finally, the chilly high winds have dropped sufficiently enough to enjoy a calm sunny day in Glasgow.

I will be visiting DD1’s for a birthday lunch as it is her partners birthday today, possibly al fresco. 🤞
DD2 FaceTimed yesterday to show me around the venue where they are having a long weekend break.
It is a modern/rustic bungalow high in the hills of Manley of the Sunshine Coast, tastefully decorated with wrap around bifold doors which open up to a breathtaking view of tree tops and the Pacific Ocean far off into the distance with only the sound of wildlife to be heard. Utter paradise!

Blossoming, I hope the physio does arrive today to offer excercises of benefit for your condition.
Gingster Promising news to hear your DH seems brighter and eating well.

My best wishes to all for a good day and a better one for those of you dealing with difficulties of any description. Try to enjoy some sunshine today if possible.

kittylester Sun 06-Apr-25 07:54:36

Good morning all. North Leicestershire is brightening already. DH is doing lunch on his new barbecue so nothing for me to do apart from salads, drinks, the table etc etc.

A friend's daughter is also doing the Brighton marathon today. Hope she is OK as she hurt her ankle last week.

Yestrrday we took Easter chocolate over to DD1's, in Derby to sustain DGS3 and DGD1 as they have exams starting soon after Easter and are knuckling down to their studies - or so they say.

DGS is applying for degree apprenticeships. He has been offered 4 and is having a difficult time deciding which to take.

Have the best day possible, everyone.

Stilllearning Sun 06-Apr-25 07:56:11

Morning from South Lanarkshire, blue sky but bitterly cold here, a heavy frost on the cars but I expect it will lift soon.

A good yesterday chatting with friends and a quiet one today ahead. I need to do some meal planning, I’ve run down supplies in the freezer so that’s a task that needs to be done. DD2 will probably call later to hang a couple of pictures for me before they fly off next week to Gran Canaria.
I also have loads of boring admin looking reproachfully at me so after I get back from mass I will tackle some of that.

Wishing a good day to everyone, thoughts as always to those needing extra support just now.

Liberty Sun 06-Apr-25 08:00:28

Good morning from a bright sunny Suffolk where I expect we have the chill wind mentioned by others. We’ll know when we take the little dog out for her walk.

We’ll have a quiet day at home today as the seaside will be very busy now the school holidays are here. We shall probably join the crowds later in the week when DD1 and family and dog arrive from Bristol.

Good to hear Gingster that your DH is brighter and eating well. No doubt the visits from your family are contributing to this and I’m sure they will be taking care of you as well.

Hope today is the best it can be for all.

NannyJan53 Sun 06-Apr-25 08:00:33

Good morning from a sunny Black Country, with not a cloud in the sky!

Managed to dry 3 loads of washing yesterday, and weed the garden. The wind seems to have dropped so will be a warm one today I think.

May ring my friend to see if she fancies a walk to the Park or along the canal, as MrJ will be out on a cycle ride.

Hope your DH is feeling better soon FGT and pleased your DH is improving Gingster

Wishing you all the best day possible.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 06-Apr-25 08:04:07

Morning everyone from a bright S E Essex.

Our dishwasher broke yesterday, called a neighbour over who works for a white goods repair company, he took it apart and declared it would be cheaper to buy a new one, so we did £ouch!

A quiet day here at Gravy Grange, apart from cooking a roast later (7ish) I shall have a lazy day.

Thinking of you and your family Gingster 🌸

I hope himself recovers quickly FGT2 🌸

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday 🙋‍♀️
