Good morning from a dry Bristol.
The weather is glorious and warm in the afternoons but the nights and mornings seem to be near freezing - winter coats, gloves, the lot, first thing!
Pedestrian life ATM, with the occasional event of interest happening.
I hope all is/stays well with you all. If not, that your pain/sorrow/difficulties are bearable.

Good morning from Malta where it is forecast to reach 14°C today, a big difference from yesterday’s 24°C.

I am off to look after the boys. Easter holidays don’t start until Friday here.

Hope you feel better as the day progresses Susan.

Wishing you all the best day possible. You were all in my prayers during yesterday’s Mass.☀️

Grandmabatty Mon 07-Apr-25 06:01:26

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and the sky looks clear. Another fine day in prospect. Susan I hope your day is better and your health improves.
Yesterday my aunt and uncle came for a visit. It was so good to see them. They are very supportive.
Today is early childcare day. I'll probably take the boys to a large park this morning or soft play to tire them out. I have to phone the undertaker with information. My aunt has said she will go to the crematorium for the other information we require, if my brother hasn't done it.
Lots of watering the flowers today I expect and generally playing. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Another warm day forecast but although I'm keen to start sowing and planting, I know from bitter experience that if I wait until the soil warms up, the plants grow faster and better.

Early exercise class and then out to a friend for lunch.

More sorting out and decluttering.

So sorry you are unwell Susan

I was nearby on Saturday Taichinan. I thought of you!

Hope everyone has some joy today.

Good morning early birds from north Wales where I’m about to enjoy my chamberpot in the garden…☕️. This 🌞 is here for the week and although the wind can be brutal grandMattie it’s easy to find a sheltered spot to enjoy the warmth.

Sorry to read of your relapse Susan - those bedding plants will have to wait their turn, take extra special care, of yourself 💐

A visit to my Dad, a friend and car wash is my pedestrian life today and I’m happy with that - too much going on unsettles me so I’m grateful that all is well in my world for now…🙏

I’ll pop back later and catch up with all your bizzinesses x

Good morning from a dry but chilly Torbay and our weather is very similar to yours, grandMattie, in terms of the need for wearing warm layers to start the day.

I hope you feel better as the day wears on, Susan56. Early days since your surgery.

It’s good you have some family members on whom you can rely, Grandmabatty, at this time.

Easter holidays have begun in most areas but my DD2, whose school is in Staffordshire has another week to go whilst her children, DGS2 and DGD are already on holiday as their schools are in Cheshire. They have one week in common leading up to Easter weekend.

I managed to attend church and read the lesson but was very tired by the time I came home, mainly from the social interaction as people were kindly enquiring about my health.

Today I hope to attend my Move It or Lose It classs as a (mostly) seated participant. I’ll see how it goes.

Wishing everyone a good week. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from s somerset, sun all day, cool wind though

I did my first road -bike cycle ride this year, would have been so easy to take the easier option via using my pedelec e bike, then I looked out of the window and the branches were not moving, the wind was light and I gave myself a talking to. I got up that hill without feeling the need to get off and walk. I was very happy, it is always difficult at my age to start again after winter.

Mouche 2 is drying after his bath and later I will stuff him and dress him in dungarees. I hope they fit

Today I have a craft session, I go for the chat and to meet up with the lovely aspirational women, some are 90

Have a good day

Good morning from sunny Lancashire. There’s a chill in the air here and the thermometer is showing 2°.

I’m still waiting for the home visit with the physio, so fingers crossed that will happen today. If not I’m comfortable here so will wait patiently.

Happy Monday all 🌹

Good morning all. Chilly start to the day in Glasgow but a warm sunny day to enjoy later for most of the day.

I spent most of the day in the garden yesterday apart from lunch at DD1s in her garden. What a joy to have lunch al fresco in pleasant warm weather ignoring the fact that all will change by the end of the week as rain and colder temperatures are forecast. Although tempted, I know from experience it is far too early to plant anything new here.

DD2 FaceTimed last night to share a glorious sunrise with her on their last day in Manely. A quiet moment in time taking in the beauty of nature..

I hope you feel better as the day goes on Susan.

Have the best day possible all.

RosesandLilac Mon 07-Apr-25 06:51:01

Good morning from south Glos, another sunny day forecast for today 😊
A lovely walk down into the valley across fields yesterday, it felt so good to be out in the sunshine, listening to the birds and watching the dogs enjoy themselves.
Tiddler and I spent the afternoon in the summerhouse and garden, it’s so nice out there with everything coming into leaf and flower.
This morning DH is off for a hospital appointment early, I will walk the dogs and then get the housework done before he gets back.
I hope the week goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning from a sunny Black Country where the sky is cloudless and no wind!

Wonderful sunny day yesterday, it almost became too hot on our patio. Sat in garden yesterday afternoon reading my book.

Up early as preparing veg, and simmering chicken for my soup.

Walking group walk this morning, then meet my friend for Line Dancing this afternoon.

Easter holidays start next week here in the Midlands. DGD4 (13, 14 next month) is off on Thursday with school for a week ski-ing in Canada! I will not rest until she is back home safe and sound.

Sorry you are feeling unwell again Susan hope it eases off as the day progresses,

Wishing you all the best day possible

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m sure my car looked frozen when I peeked out of the landing window a minute ago!

Our cleaner is due this morning and I will do the weekly shop at Waitrose.

OH will visit his bees after lunch. Apparently this is a difficult time of year for them. Several of his fellow beekeepers have lost their bees already. OH’s were thriving just last week. He has to make sure they have enough food (fondant) in case it is too cold for them to fly.

I am still waiting for news from Australia about my niece’s baby girl which was due at the end of March. I hope all is well.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but chilly, only 0°C at the moment, so hoping it warms up later.

Yoga first thing followed by coffee in the little cafe round the corner.
This afternoon I need to hop on the bus to the shops for a few things, including some Euros for my cruise. I also ordered some Turkish lira, but.they won't be in till Thursday.

Did a bit more washing for the cruise yesterday, and unusually for me got the ironing board out - can't remember the last time it saw the light of day! Took it into the sitting room and watched Michael Portillo's Portugal tv programme.while I ironed.

Hope.those feeling under the weather have some respite; wishing all a pleasant day.

Grandmabatty Mon 07-Apr-25 07:03:52

I had a stressful start this morning! The car door had frozen and I couldn't get in. I had to squeeze past the hedge and humph myself across to the driver's seat to switch on the engine and warm up the car. Then the reverse journey to scrape the car windows which were iced up. Then back in again via the passenger door before I could head to dds. She's just said I have a gouge out of a tyre where I've hit the kerb. At some point I'll have to see to that too. Oh dear

Sallyforth Mon 07-Apr-25 07:07:07

Good morning from a lovely sunny but frosty morning in Cheshire. Lots of sunshine forecast all week.

The days are passed trying to stay busy. No news of when my sister's funeral will be. DD is trying to work and take care of me.

Sorry you're unwell Susan. Hope you pick up today.

Thinking of all with worries and sickness.

Redcar Mon 07-Apr-25 07:07:32

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny again, but 2 degrees and a light frost outside! I went to DD2’s yesterday afternoon as she couldn’t come to see me. It was her OH’s birthday and his team won at football so he was happy.
susan I hope you feel better later today and can buy your bedding plants at the garden centre.
blossoming I hope you see the physio today and can arrange your home visit.
Have the best day possible everyone, enjoy the sunshine, even if it’s a bit cooler today.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 07-Apr-25 07:08:49

Morning everyone, blue sky and 5 with a high of 9.

All of our GC are now on Easter holidays, I have The Imp and 10yr old today, off to soft play this morning.

Hope you begin to feel better Susan56

(((Hugs))) to all in need 🌸

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. Another beautiful day in store here.

On Friday and Saturday we were with DS’s children in Edinburgh and my goodness what a difference in the weather. While the west was basking in warm sunshine we were under cloudy skies and feeling quite chilly.

Yesterday though DH and I had a leisurely walk with the daft dug which included a stop off for scones and coffee in the local hotel.

Considering a run to the coast today, will see how we feel later.

Have the best day possible everyone.

kittylester Mon 07-Apr-25 07:26:56

Good morning all from a clear, chilly North Leicestershire.

I will tackle Mount Everest this morning - I could be some time.

Two sets of DGC have started Easter holidays but are still busy - one family has As and GCSEs this year so are busy revising.

DGD2 and 3 are currently on their way to Disney land Paris where they are dancing in the parade. Excitement levels are sky high.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyIvy Mon 07-Apr-25 07:28:11

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where there is a lovely blue sky. The mornings are chilly but yesterday was able to sit on the patio with a glass of wine after Sunday lunch. (Shame next door decided to put up scaffolding and cut all his big trees with very noisy machinery but a job well done and look good). I persevered with my wine and book!
Today the little GC are coming round to do Easter Craft activities as DD 2 has a hair appointment. I’m still getting over my cold so have enlisted DH’s help with the activities (much to his joy😂)
No more bites but no culprit found!

Suan do hope you will feel better as the day goes on 💐

Have a good day everyone

brook2704 Mon 07-Apr-25 07:31:42

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve another bright and sunny day forecast
Oh grandmabatty, a stressful start to a busy day, hope you’ve not damaged the tyre too much and all is ok - enjoy your day with your DGSs
It’s school holidays here too so I’ll call into DD2s at sometime to see the DGC. They’re not alone as DD2 works from home but I’ll still check all is ok
Hope you feel better Susan as the day goes on
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Liberty Mon 07-Apr-25 07:44:03

Good morning from a sunny and still morning with no sign of earlier frost.

We seem to have many more tiny wild violets in every nook and cranny in the small paved back yard and masses of speedwell in the rough grass in the rest of the garden.

I do so love these spring flowers. The primroses are the best we can remember in the 41 years we have lived here and cowslips and bluebells are just emerging(after which come the nettles!).

Looking forward to a walk with the dog later and then a day of reading and some admin in the summerhouse. Ironing can wait although I’ll have to find time before Wednesday to make up 4 beds for the arrival of the Bristol family.

Hope all especially those experiencing sadness and difficulties can get some pleasure from the sun today.

Sar53 Mon 07-Apr-25 07:44:04

Good morning from the Essex coast where the sun is shining but the wind is still cold.
All DGC are on holiday apart from DD1'S in the Midlands, they don't break up until Friday.
Housework and admin today plus a visit to the Post Office.
I hope you feel better Susan.
Best wishes to everyone xx
