My Health is OK .

Good morning from Malta where it is just getting light. We are promised a mixture of cloud and sunny spells with a high of 18°C.

I’m just about ready to go over to look after the boys. They were both very good yesterday and went off to nursery in the afternoon.

They turn three years old tomorrow! Can’t believe how fast the time has flown.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from a frosty Bristol. It’s amazing that the temperatures go from 1C to 16C and back again in the space of a day.
Tesco yesterday reduced me to tears. I use a zapper, but pay by cash. The only cash till wasn’t working and I was sent to a regular cashier. I queued behind a woman who, I swear, had about 120 items, a large trolley full of minute items,. I reached the cashier who refused to take my zapper. So I queued at yet another till, where the cashier was going at a glacial speed. I was getting tired and tearful and had resolved to leave my shopping there if she didn’t accept the zapper. She did, but seemed half gaga, asking me for this and that, not understanding things. A total nightmare. My neighbour was waiting for me, something I hate as she is so kind to me.
Today has suddenly filled up. We have been summoned to a “coffee morning” with the next layer of management, I suspect it is in response to our letter of complaint due to nothing being done regarding various repairs. Some people have waited up to three years for nothing to be done. We only received the “invitation” very early yesterday morning!
Another couple of meetings/invitations will fill my day. I’m glad I already have biscuits for the FAB cafe tomorrow as I won’t have time or energy to bake.
Happy birthday to your boys, Bellas.
I hope your day is quiet and happy. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and slightly frosty. GrandMattie that sounds quite distressing and the shop was very unhelpful.
Yesterday the boys and I had a good day. They didn't want to go to the park so we spent the day in the garden or the house. They were very good. Dgs1 has discovered a live of drawing and he spent ages drawing stuff. Dgs2 enjoyed watering the pots, the patio and his feet. He had a nap in the afternoon and woke up as a hound from hell but settled eventually. I got mum's funeral booked for next Tuesday and also booked a local hotel for afternoon tea after the service. It's a very small funeral according to her wishes.
Today I'll take the boys to soft play this morning then maybe the park. This afternoon will be in the house and garden. I'll also make a slow cooker pot of chilli. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a cold hillside in south Glos, it’s only 2°. As you say grandMattie, huge variation in temperature at the moment.
Yesterday was another lovely day, I had a very enjoyable walk with the dogs followed by some housework and washing dried on the line.
An afternoon in the summerhouse nicely rounded off my day.
More of the same today!
Wishing you a peaceful day 🌹

Good morning from Shropshire.Another sunny day forecast.

Grandmabatty you have done so well getting everything organised and honouring your mum’s wishes💐

grandMattie what a horrible experience you had shopping yesterday💐

Thank you for all you kind wishes yesterday.A day of rest and I am feeling slightly better today. The GP called yesterday about something else and has fitted me in for an appointment before her surgery starts so that will hopefully set my mind at rest.

I hope Marydoll had a better night and that all unwell are seeing some improvements.Thoughts to Gingster and her husband as they navigate his recovery.

Have the best day you can everyone🌻🦩

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. I think another fine day is forecast.

A frustrating shopping trip gM.

We visited a favourite garden yesterday, completely forgetting about the school holidays, I’ve never seen Dumfries House so busy. There’s a little adventure playground, a maze, and cafe, which, coupled with the fact that admission is free, makes it attractive to families.

Today I’m on the charity shop. Yarn group has been moved to later in the week so I’ll try to motivate myself to get on with my crochet at home this evening.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Greyduster Tue 08-Apr-25 07:01:49

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where there is a frost on the car. I had a decent night’s sleep but have woken up with a pain in my shoulder. Yesterday morning I dragged myself to the gym and then called at the garden centre on the way home, where, despite promising myself I wouldn’t buy anything yet, I came away with a lovely scabious (DS said it sounded more like a nasty disease than a plant!) which I couldn’t walk away from. I’ll grow it in a pot. Today I have jobs lined up and phone calls to make, and, if time allows, will have a walk.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Blossoming Tue 08-Apr-25 07:02:04

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. It feels rather chilly here, but I’m nice and warm in my own bed 😊

Have the best day you can, I’m going to snooze for a little while.🌹

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 08-Apr-25 07:03:46

Morning all from a lightly frosted West Oxfordshire.

OH is potting some of his honey today ready to sell at a car boot sale on Sunday. He visited his bees yesterday and they were fine.

I will see some friends this afternoon while OH prepares for his shooting club AGM this evening.

I think I’ll make chicken ratatouille for dinner, an old favourite which I haven’t made for a while.

Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with difficulties.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 08-Apr-25 07:06:16

Morning everyone, another bright but chilly start to the day.

I have The Imp and 10yr old today, we are meeting up,with one of DiL’s (DS4) and going to the park with two more GC. They get in well and DiL and I can have a good natter.

New dishwasher is arriving sometime today, yippee! I appreciate that I am fortunate to have one, but boy have I missed it these last three days.

Thinking of Gingster and her `DH 🌸

It must be a relief that you have got everything sorted for your mums funeral Grandmabatty

Thinning of all our kitchen friends with troubles or illness 🌸🌸🌸

cornergran Tue 08-Apr-25 07:08:05

Morning Mick, morning All. The day is forecast to be sunny with welcome lessening in wind speed.

Routine Tuesday here other than a far too early appointment at the surgery for me.

Hope the coffee session is productive grandmattie and your appointment reassuring susan. So much progress grandmab, the plans sound a gentle and fitting goodbye to your Mum

Must be off. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Redcar Tue 08-Apr-25 07:11:06

Good morning everyone from mid Essex, where it’s sunny again with a sharp frost - only 1 degree outside. The heating has come on so warm indoors.
Did a number of small tasks yesterday, with lots of rest in between as my back was very uncomfortable at times. I hope it will be better today.
I’ll go for a walk this morning when the frost has cleared, then have some admin to do before visiting my friend with dementia.
grandmattie what a distressing experience for you yesterday.
I hope all those on childcare duties have a good day.
Have the best day possible everyone.

karmalady Tue 08-Apr-25 07:15:55

Good morning from s somerset, another beautiful sunny day today

Mouche2 is finished, what fun he was to make and stuffing brought him to life, he is very soft. Next I am going to make a duck called Nanna, I have ordered the yarn for the duck, I have enough bits for her dress

Today I am going to the allotment for a potter, will go on my bike and be back for lunch to continue my spinning after lunch. Eco cotton wash is on and I bottomed the bedroom yesterday, So good to know that any day could be a washing day, while the sun shines

I think I will do a bit of wellness stuff later today, starting with me inverting to 60 degrees. It gives my back a good stretch and helps the discs expand and I get some height back, then some deep relaxation for a short while

I made a single soup in my maker yesterday, it was lovely and I will do that again at teatime. I have to chop the small amount of veg but that is therapeutic

Have a good day

kittylester Tue 08-Apr-25 07:16:44

Good morning all from a chilly but brightening North Leicestershire.

All I have on the agenda is a singing lesson and a mass of phone calls.

Hoping everyone has the very best day possible.

glammagran Tue 08-Apr-25 07:26:53

Good morning from sunny Wiltshire.

We have a DGD3 today. We will take her to her swimming lesson after we pick her up. After that I doubt she will want to go out so will find some crafts for her to do. Tomorrow will be the turn of her brother. We will go somewhere with him as he is like a dog you have to exercise. 🤣

I have another dress being delivered today for our cruise leaving on Sunday (not a formal one). I’ve returned far more items than I have kept mainly due to inconsistencies with sizing. Looking forward to seeing BlueSapphire and in Malta, meeting Bellasnana.

Happy 3rd Birthday to your twin GS’s Bella. Yes, where does the time go!

Hope all the poorlies and others are feeling better today. Enjoy another sunny day.

luluaugust Tue 08-Apr-25 07:29:14

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A morning of packing up birthday presents, so many in April and May.
This afternoon U3A monthly meeting with a talk on Edward & Mrs Simpson, not sure what more can be said.
Best wishes

Ashcombe Tue 08-Apr-25 07:30:44

Good morning from another sunny but chilly Torbay.

I was awake until well after midnight. Eventually realised (duh!) I was cold!! Added cardigan, socks and blanket and slept fitfully. A few hasty loo trips tell me I have a gastric upset. I won’t go to Props today as don’t want to spread any lurgy!

Hope everyone else is as well as possible. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Sallyforth Tue 08-Apr-25 07:34:10

Good morning all from a bright frosty morning in Cheshire. The sunshine brightens each day thank goodness. The garden is colourful and there are 3 big buds on the tree peony. The flowers are huge when they open.

My sleep is awful at the moment just two hours then awake, nodding off then awake again. I know it's grieving for my sister but it's difficult to cope with. There's to be an inquest. My DD and DGS are here keeping me focused.

Great that you're home Blossoming. Hope Mr &Mrs FGT are feeling better today. Hope Marydoll is improving too.

Enjoy your days with the children, they grow so fast!

monk08 Tue 08-Apr-25 07:38:32

Good morning from the Black country overnight frost again but another sunny day forecast.
No plans as yet will see what DH wants to do when he awakes.
Hope himself is feeling a little better FGT and Marydoll had a better day.
Good to see you are home Blossoming.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️.

brook2704 Tue 08-Apr-25 07:52:12

Good morning everyone from a sunny Inverness, a bit of a chilly start but a beautiful day ahead
I’m off to meet up with a few ladies at the garden centre this afternoon, all friends from the old gym I used to go to. There’ll be non stop chattering and laughter I expect. DD2s house move is still progressing ok, fingers are still firmly crossed for no last minute hiccups but a provisional moving date of 9th May is on the cards 🤞
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

EkwaNimitee Tue 08-Apr-25 07:58:19

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it is a tad warmer today, it is 2°C and not frosty.

Yesterday, I got out in the garden for some gentle work planting out some of my seedling foxgloves though first I had to get to work with the hoe, weeds are springing up faster than anything else. Of course, watering was required in various places too, the downside of dry, sunny weather, but I won't complain.
Today, I'll be busy with chores and admin in the morning and hope for a walk this afternoon plus plough on with my book, I turn the pages but it's not enthralling though supposed to be a thriller.

Enjoy the day as much as you can folks.

Liberty Tue 08-Apr-25 08:05:08

Good morning from sunny Suffolk where I can see traces of frost on parts of the grass where the sun hasn’t reached yet.

We are off to Ipswich after the dog walk to collect DH’s car which DS borrowed whilst he gets his company car. He started a new job yesterday and will have the car when the person he is replacing retires at the end of the month. DS is pleased to have a properly planned takeover of the post and can ease into it.

DGS3 ,age 11, is impressed that the new car will be an Audi! He keeps forwarding photos to DH of what it will look like.

Hope today is the best it can be for all.

BlueSapphire Tue 08-Apr-25 08:12:48

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton. Should be lovely for our health walk this afternoon.

Collected my Euros from Sainsbury's yesterday; Turkish lira not in till Thursday. I do like to have a bit of local currency when I go on holiday, even though I hardly use it. Also saw a new bag in Sainsbury's which looked ideal to take on excursions so treated myself! Will have my grand packing day on Saturday once the cats have gone to the cattery.

Some more washing and tidying to be done today before my cruise. I really need to cut the grass again before I go, but don't know whether I will have time.

Hoping all have a pleasant day in the sunshine.

Jaxjacky Tue 08-Apr-25 08:13:43

Morning from a sunny S Hants, a slight frost earlier, I’ve a wash to put on, then admin from yesterday
Farm shop visit, some domestic tidying and hopefully a walk.
Best wishes to those under the weather, have a pleasant day all.
