Harry’s over for a Court case but not to see his Papa. 🤔

Charles & Camilla flew out to Rome on a planned visit so they missed one another by mere hours. Harry obviously didn’t want to spend any time with them. He will have known of their itinerary. There are so few occasions when he does fly over now from Montecito. An opportunity lost, especially with his father’s health I think.

I’d be surprised if the King doesn’t have sadness, reflect on things he could have done differently. Ditto Harry.
Estrangement is heart breaking - no winners, I wish them all the best peace they can achieve for now. How anyone can wish any members of this disrupted family ill is beyond me

I wonder what his security arrangements were whilst he was over here for the court hearing....

Anniebach

Can we expect Megan popping up telling the world she couldn’t be there because she had to make milkshakes and do the school run !

Just what I was thinking!! I expect she is trying to get the pectin level right in the "spread" so that it can go back to being jam😁

I am sure The King is devastated , betrayal of trust is so painful
one has to learn to trust again

Funny you should say that as while Harry was away - Meghan popped up in New York and got a four car security motorcade to take her a few blocks from a restaurant to the theatre with some friends

I thought his dad didn't want to see him.

Thank you Cold. thought it would be their new ‘look at us’ act

We need to get rid of the royal family and let them play out their billionaire soap opera in the pages of Hello and OK magazines. Ridiculous we fund this nonsense through our taxes.
As for a son not visiting his father, why can't the father visit the son? He is clearly fit enough to travel around the world visiting others but not his own child.

Would you like to HAVE to dress up and get up every day to attend functions, etc etc… it is, I’m sure, exhausting!

Hardly! They have everything provided and set out for them. No worries about money, housing, rent, schooling, medical care, housework, childcare, transport, holidays, clothing, food, gardening or getting up daily to do a hard demanding job every day of your life.

Yes! Let's have a Republic and a President just like the Americans, who broke away from Britain in the reign of King George III. Can't think of anything better. Oh - wait a minute

I think we are capable of choosing any type of Republic we want. The US isn't the only model. Either way we'd get to choose, not have it thrust upon us.

It's only by order of birth we don't have Andrew as king!

So many millions found easily enough paid to keep him out of court. The whole family squabbling about which mansion they get to live in and scurrying around for 'royal duties' to keep their extravagant lifestyles going. We taxpayers have paid millions to fund Andrew's children and provide them with security while they partied their way round the world. And while we pay billions funding royal lifestyles they get to keep the contention their Wills secret from us. Why?

Charles spent decades in an apprenticeship to be king. Now William is spending decades being an apprentice. As for Kate - her contribution is not much more than showing off an extensive and expensive wardrobe.

I think he will need protection. Due to the press criticism of him and his wife there will have been threats made, towards Megan and him. We don't know how many serious threats have been made against him and his family. As many people condem him on here and in comments on press articles about him I think armed protection is essential.

Anniebach Sat 12-Apr-25 09:43:12

Oprah and all their tv interviews are their choices

I'm happy to criticise him and his publicity hungry wife but I wouldn't lay a finger on him. Just because the great British public don't like them doesn't mean they're in danger.

Telegraph today. Harry accusing the establishment of removing his security so they couldn’t leave England! It seems to me that Harry is rather a conspiracy theorist.

In Britain that would mean police paid for from the public purse.

Surely that’s only for those carrying out public duties then or overseas visitors involved in public duties.

Or where there’s a risk of public disorder I suppose -like Taylor Swift??

If he comes back for State occasions yes but I don’t think we should be funding personal visits. We can’t provide armed protection for all visitors or citizens even if they have received threats.

Harry is delusional.
His money to waste, but he is earning nothing to replace it.

sazz1 ae you suggesting that one of us might go out and shoot him or physically attack him.

I have far more demaanding things to do, scroll through Face book, take a nap, recheck GN!

IMO he’s got a huge cheek to be asking the court to reinstate his taxpayer-funded protection - since he’s a son of the king - the head of the royal family he opted to leave as a working member - and has been busily slagging off.

Totally agree with you. He has a cheek.

I don’t get why he doesn’t just pay for security himself if he is worried. Anyone else who had the amount of cash he has would. Surely he has other things in life to worry about other than a time wasting court case. Bizarre man.

I think he wants armed security and private security personnel are not allowed to carry weapons in the UK.
The other reason is that private security personnel would not have access to official security information about specific threats to him or his family.

I could be wrong.
