Charles & Camilla flew out to Rome on a planned visit so they missed one another by mere hours. Harry obviously didn’t want to spend any time with them. He will have known of their itinerary. There are so few occasions when he does fly over now from Montecito. An opportunity lost, especially with his father’s health I think.

He's 'nursing his wrath to keep it warm' it's his only way to make a living.
No money in being happy well balanced family man. Cynical? Moi?

Interesting Mollygo all his tv interviews have been since he moved to America.

Perhaps he fears British interviewers like Emily Maitlis!

Maybe they don’t think he’s worth interviewing over here.
More likely he feels he wouldn’t be fairly treated in a UK interview.
Who cares?

Yes, you said "I didn’t think Megan was going to be a breath of fresh air, 36 year old divorcee in white gown with veil walking alone down the aisle of a church , no." If that isn't disapproval, what is it?

And?

Opinions may differ. It's allowed.

Seemed a fair question to me, but then I'm invisible

I asked the meaning as well. Asked and answered.

People disagree, differing opinions are allowed.

I didn't intend to pile-on, if pile-on was perceived I'm sorry.

It’s rumoured he’s planning on writing a sequel to Spare about his battle for security. He’s probably sharpening his pencil as he waits for the result of the recent court case.

Nice little earner, whether or not he wins.

Who buys this stuff?

Anniebach Mon 14-Apr-25 15:09:55

His wife is elevating America, why doesn’t she elevate him

I’m not sorry for a couple who stepped away from the Royal Family for a more private life then publicly, and for money, decided to then slag said family off at every opportunity. Also Me-again is continually selling her self off for big bucks. She didn’t want to be a working Royal as she would always be in the shadow of Catherine and couldn’t get her head around having to curtsey to more senior Royals in private as well as public. Royal protocol dictates procedures and she and Harry were never going to be top of the pecking order. Wish our media would give them the publicity they so said they wanted when they first left the country.

*Would you like to HAVE to dress up and get up every day to attend functions, etc etc
 it is, I’m sure, exhausting!*

Hardly! They have everything provided and set out for them. No worries about money, housing, rent, schooling, medical care, housework, childcare, transport, holidays, clothing, food, gardening or getting up daily to do a hard demanding job every day of your life.

Plus they can hand down their vast 'country estate(s)' free of tax while ordinary folk cannot hand down the average semi without the government taking a slice.

I don’t feel sorry for either of them. I wish they would just shut up and go away and get on with their boring lives.

He has lost his appeal for publicly funded security

Allira Fri 02-May-25 15:50:27

Thanks for the update Jaxjacky
Probably a good day to bury bad (for him) news!

Aveline Fri 02-May-25 18:19:45

He's willing to forgive his family though!!!! What is wrong him.

Smileless2012 Fri 02-May-25 18:20:12

Well it's given him yet another opportunity to talk about how badly done too he is and make a public declaration of how he forgives his family.

Aveline Fri 02-May-25 18:22:02

I hope the royal family doesn't give his pathetic whining any response at all.

Smileless2012 Fri 02-May-25 18:24:34

I'm sure the late Queen's mantra 'never complain, never explain' will endure.

Just saw that on the news.
No mention of apologies from him.

Smileless2012 Fri 02-May-25 18:28:52

He said his family are annoyed that he wrote his book but no apology for doing so Mollygo and let's face it, if you have something to forgive and do so, you do it privately.

luluaugust Fri 02-May-25 18:34:58

He says he doesn’t know how long his father has to live, surely imagining the death of the Sovereign is treason!

merlotgran Fri 02-May-25 18:40:15

What angered me about that interview was he spoke of his father’s cancer in such a self pitying way.

The king has been nothing but stoic throughout his treatment, sharing as much information as he feels appropriate, praising the professionalism of the team caring for him and giving encouragement to others on a similar journey. Not once has he shown a hint of negativity.

Then along comes Harry saying he doesn’t know how long his father has got. That’s always the last thing anyone dealing with cancer wants to hear from anyone and certainly not from a close family member bleating to the whole world because he’s lost his court appeal.

That’s what it’s really about isn’t it Harry?

Selfish, selfish man. No wonder his father won’t speak to him.

😁I saw the interview, forgives his family indeed! What a plonker.
I expect the King doesn’t speak to him to preserve his own health and sanity.
PH comes across as an arrogant and entitled man who revels in playing the victim card, his wife just the same.

Mollygo Fri 02-May-25 19:00:41

Selfish man.
Has the King Charles said he won’t speak to Harry?
I must have missed that.
He talks as if people care whether or not he comes to the UK or whether he brings his family.

Calendargirl Fri 02-May-25 19:08:55

Listening to him talking, I could honestly pick out certain words and phrases he used as being ‘so Meghan’.

He really is just parroting what she has been drip feeding in his ear for the last few years.

Please just stay over there in the USA , doing whatever makes you happy.

We really, really aren’t bothered about you coming back.

Anniebach Fri 02-May-25 19:15:26

He forgives his family ! and he can only come safely to this country if the royal family invite him , please , please, please
royals don’t invite him

Remind us, what is he “forgiving” his family for?

A wedding costing gazillions?
Being rubbished and accused of racism on an American TV show?
The fact that he is too dim to understand why Archie was not immediately HRH?
Welcoming his stroppy and pushy fiancée who failed to exhibit basic good manners with the late Queen?
Trading on his royal title while protesting that he wants none of it and walking away?
Some very dodgy dealing in Africa plus walking out on Sentebale because his wife met her match in the CEO?

I fear he was spoilt as a child and has yet to grow out of it.
