Harry better pray Charles lives for a long time as he really wonāt want to have to deal with William as King.
Good Morning Tuesday 19th May 2026
Being Scared Of Youths In Supermarkets?
Charles & Camilla flew out to Rome on a planned visit so they missed one another by mere hours. Harry obviously didnāt want to spend any time with them. He will have known of their itinerary. There are so few occasions when he does fly over now from Montecito. An opportunity lost, especially with his fatherās health I think.
Harry better pray Charles lives for a long time as he really wonāt want to have to deal with William as King.
I think Harry will have broken his Papaās heart but I am sure he still loves him dearly.
Families eh?
Iām glad he wasnāt granted security paid for by the UK government. Heād be hopping to and fro doing his own thing and absolutely no relevance to us all. Good decision by the Courts in my opinion. Harry is rich in his own right I hope he doesnāt take this to the Supreme Court. What heās been spending (and lost) would have paid for an awful lot of security.
Harry says he wants reconciliation, and I expect he does. He'd love to be able to swan into and out of UK with full protection at the click of his fingers. He must see though how hard it would be for his family to ever relax in his company. I'd not trust him to be truthful about any encounters, and you'd always be wondering if anything was going to feature in a book in the future. He had no compunction about revealing private medical knowledge about his brother. Or about outing the woman to whom he lost his virginity. And why? Not because it needed to be known but for gratuitous titillation. I think he's a very troubled man, but I'm afraid so much is of his own making. If he could self reflect to the point of gaining some humility he might be a sight happier.
I saw a little of the interview.
Does he really imagine that people in Britain care about what happens to him?
Sadly, I think he does.
That's how out of touch he is.

What angered me about that interview was he spoke of his fatherās cancer in such a self pitying way.
The king has been nothing but stoic throughout his treatment, sharing as much information as he feels appropriate, praising the professionalism of the team caring for him and giving encouragement to others on a similar journey. Not once has he shown a hint of negativity.
Then along comes Harry saying he doesnāt know how long his father has got. Thatās always the last thing anyone dealing with cancer wants to hear from anyone and certainly not from a close family member bleating to the whole world because heās lost his court appeal.
Thatās what itās really about isnāt it Harry?
Selfish, selfish man. No wonder his father wonāt speak to him.
ššššš
I agree with everyone over the past two pages here. I don't see how anyone can see it otherwise.
Especially merlotgran. š š
Presumably they are paying for their own security in the US ( I canāt imagine that Trump is) so why does he expect us to pay over here? I doubt he and his family are in any more danger here than they are over there.
He is truly awful. He only wants reconciliation so he can worm his way back in while the king is alive. He knows William will have no hesitation in coming down hard on him when he is king. He wants to be able to pop in and out at a whim, undermine his brothers reign and destabilise him. I am so very glad that the courts got it right for once.

Oh, well said merlotgran
It's just all about him, isn't it!! Even when a parent is ill, stoically carrying on and thinking of others, it's still all about Harry.
Self-pity is just another attention-seeking trait.
I tried to think the best of them both when they left - that was fine, no problem, but the pit Harry keeps digging gets deeper and deeper.
Iām speechless, what a self serving individual, manipulated or not by his wife, what a waste of the person he could have been.

Me too Allira.
I remember thinking ālovely couple, brave decision if thatās what they wantā. I actually felt a bit sad to be honest. As if, somehow, we werenāt good enough. Hey ho.
I see King Charles and Camilla are due to be in Canada on 26th and 27th May. I bet to be so near to his grandchildren will tug at Charlesā heartstrings somewhat when they board the jet home again. How about it Hazza? Pop over to spend an hour with your dad while heās that way on?

I doubt heād be allowed anywhere near the King on an official visit. Nothing will be allowed to upset the apple cart which is a Sussex speciality.
Today is Charlotteās tenth birthday BTW. š¤
What I saw of the interview reminded me of his mother saying that there were 3 in her marriage - the same doe eyes, blaming everyone else and looking for sympathy. But he produced the book that worsened the relationship with his family. It's sad though when there's estrangement in any family (I know it's necesssary for some people).
Well I suppose I meant for a quick visit AFTER the official bit.
āWhere thereās a will ā¦ā etc. before they fly home. No need to dress up (itās family after all) just meet over a pot of tea. Keep things simple and low key.

I think it's provably necessary for the King and his family, especially his DDIL in this country.
Neither need more stress or upset and Harry is so unpredictable any rapprochement could be fraught with anxiety that he might give interviews at every perceived slight, where real or imagined.
Iām not that interested in the royals, but what struck me about Harryās speech today was how much he reminded me of Meghanās father going public with exaggerated claims about his wish for reconciliation. Itās just not going to work, because there is nothing more likely to put the backs of the people you want to reconcile with more than you going public.
That couple donāt do ālow keyā, he even told the world what he said to his grandmotherās body when he went to Balmoral after her death , sick.
How DARE he use his fatherās health in such a selfish, manipulative way, but we expect no better from this truly nasty little whinger.
I hope he and his vile narcissist of a wife never set foot here again. Hateful people.

Just seen that on BBC News, merlotgran
That is just awful, dreadful man, how dare he speak of a fami,y member like that š¤¬
No wonder they're keeping him at arm's length for the sake of their own health and sanity.
He has no self-awareness?
Interview on BBC news.
āI can forgiveā¦ā
Me me me me meā¦
Iām going to keep replaying that pity fest by Harry, Iām going to watch ITV News instead.
Why are they giving him all this airtime?
He's irrelevant.
I read the extracts from the interview published on the BBC website. My immediate response was that it was an exercise in passive aggression.
Once again he is whining and complaining and blaming everyone bar himself. His pose of injured innocence is just that, a pose.
Sorry, so irritated!
If the BBC are going to keep replaying that self-pity-fest by Harry, Iāll have to watch ITV news.
