Good morning all, it’s still dark here in Lancashire and feeling quite cool. The sky looks clear and the birds are singing outside my window.

I am sleeping really well and still waking very early. MrB is still asleep and I will probably snooze after I‘ve drunk another glass of water.

Happy Monday 🌹

Good morning from a chilly Torbay with the likelihood of rain later.

Bon voyage to BlueSapphireand Glammagran! DH and I have a cruise booked for the last week in April, mainly to visit Keukenhof Gardens. This was originally booked for my 70th birthday in 2020 but we all remember what happened that year!

Yesterday, the post Covid (Moderna) vaccination headache recurred with a vengeance at lunchtime so I rested for much of the day and felt better for it.

Thinking of those who are unwell or with sad or difficult times to face, especially . Grandmabatty 💐 and Gingster and her DH. 💐

Good morning from Bristol. The birds are singing their little hearts out.
We had the usual chaotic Palm Sunday procession round the church with children waving real palms. Meanwhile, DD had one from one of her churches to the other; a long walk but, mercifully for Bristol, it was all down hill!
I’m fairly busy today as I’m going with DGD to the local vast mall for some shopping then a cream tea - Christmas present from DGS. She and I share a birthday so I chose her for my +1.
We shall be joined by DD and iris, go back to theirs for a birthday dinner one day early. They’re off to Stratford tomorrow.
My sleep pattern has gone back from barely adequate to rubbish again. It’s horrible if I can’t have an afternoon nap. I’m beyond tired and am a bit out of it. Hey ho.
Hope this Holy week is kind to you all.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a chilly midlands where the beautiful moon is still in our skies. A day of taking things to the charity shop and making a lasagne then knitting a dog blanket for Battersea. Mental health has been good lately.
Take care everyone and stay safe. 🤗🤗

Pantglas2 Mon 14-Apr-25 06:04:47

Good morning all from a damp north Wales after a surprisingly dry and sunny weekend - the forecast isn’t clever for the next week but the gardens need it…😡

What lucky ladies BlueSapphire and Glammagran are cruising the Med and it includes lovely Malta!

After spending a few hours with DD yesterday it’s my dad’s turn for my attention today (what a blessing, I heard MrPG mumble 😉) as his car is having its innards sorted and I picked up some groceries to tide him over.

He’s awaiting a dermatologist appointment for the sore on his back and is desperate for me to “have a look”…😱. As you all know I’m not a nurse and rather squeamish around such things so will pretend to do so…🫣

My neighbour is in hospital with worrying symptoms and I know so many of you have various medical issues at the moment 💐, flowers seem inadequate but it is the kind thought that matters x

Bellasnana Mon 14-Apr-25 06:21:45

Good morning from a very overcast, hazy Malta where a high of 19°C is forecast but no sun.

Oh I did enjoy the tennis yesterday! I like both players but was happy for the winner and loved how respectful they were of each other.

I plan a lazy morning doing jobs around the house although this weather doesn’t inspire me.

This afternoon I’m going to meet my friends who have been here on holiday but leave tomorrow so we will have a last cuppa together.

The boys FaceTimed yesterday and are having a super time in Sicily. It looks a lovely place where they are staying, it’s a bungalow with two resident cats. Twin 1 is the animal lover so he’s made friends with them.

They will be back on the 2pm catamaran, it’s only a 90 minute trip and they took the car so have been able to travel around and see a fair few places with DD3 doing all the driving. She’s her father’s daughter! I’ve never enjoyed driving on the wrong side of the road but he loved it and we drove overland to the UK several times.

Sending hugs to all who are feeling poorly, sad or going through trying times, and wishing a good day to all.☀️

cornergran Mon 14-Apr-25 06:39:55

Morning Mick, morning All. A much cooler corner of Somerset is dry at the moment, showers later - maybe.

We thoroughly enjoyed family time yesterday, thankfully no rain to contend with. Covid jab for me this morning, nothing else on the agenda we’ll see how the day goes.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Susan56 Mon 14-Apr-25 06:43:07

Good morning from Shropshire. The forecast rain has still not arrived.

Another quiet day planned.I have bought mum so new tops so will label them and then after the household jobs and admin are complete it will be another afternoon reading.

We were meant to go to the Keukenhof gardens in 2020 too Ash for my 60th.Maybe next year.

Good that you are doing well whywhywhy.

Thoughts with Gingster and her DH and also with Grandmabatty as she prepares for tomorrow💐

Have a good day everyone🌻🦩

Greyduster Mon 14-Apr-25 06:45:30

Old morning, Michael and all GNs from a bright South Yorkshire. It may not stay that way for long. I have a chiropodist appointment this morning and a haircut this afternoon but apart from that, nothing exciting.
Have the best day you can folks.

Grandmabatty Mon 14-Apr-25 06:48:06

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and slightly wet. Dark clouds above. GrandMattie I hope you can get a nap at some point today. Ash thank you for your good wishes. Has the headache subsided now?
Yesterday we had family breakfast and it was lovely. The boys were really well behaved and ate prodigiously. We raised a teacup to mum. Mum and dad started the breakfast once a month club years ago and insisted on paying. It was a way to keep in touch with family. In the afternoon, I didn't do much. Dd came round with washing for me to tumble dry, so I'll finish that off today.
This morning I will definitely need to go to Aldi. My remaining milk had gone off and I've no bread left. So a quick trip there. Then I'm meeting a friend for brunch in town. Later today, dd will pick up her washing and is dropping off dinner. A fair exchange! Pulled pork and cheesy mash, I believe. I will continue to read my library book which I'm enjoying very much. Have a good day all.

Sar53 Mon 14-Apr-25 06:50:29

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast. The rest of the week isn't looking so good.
We've had a nice weekend catching up with friends culminating with a lovely roast yesterday.
Have a good day everyone xx

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 14-Apr-25 06:50:50

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Yesterday was a roaring success! We sold over half of the honey. Such an early start though and I was in bed by 8.30 pm.

Our cleaner is here today and our gardener. I have shopping to do and a present to buy for my great nephew in Australia. I bought him a toy bulldozer the other day but realised it would cost a fortune to post so took it back.

This afternoon is the monthly craft group. We are meeting at a different friend’s house. My friend over the road who usually hosts has a severe case of shingles - and she’s had the jabsad

Have a good day everyone.

Georgesgran Mon 14-Apr-25 06:53:41

Good Morning from Durham. A bright, sunny start but changing to cloudy and windy later.
I’ve been awake for hours, after weird dreams about the Army! As a nervous patient, I’m very apprehensive about seeing a new dentist this morning. It was to be just a checkup, but I’ve just lost a chunk of tooth. My old dentist took early retirement at Christmas - I’d been with him for 30 years. A friend is taking me, saves using my car, (as recommended by my garage) as it can’t be looked at until 25/4.

Lots of GNs taking flight or ‘setting sail’ these days - enjoy.
💐For those feeling below par or looking after others who are.

Best wishes to all. X

GrannyGravy13 Mon 14-Apr-25 06:58:20

Morning everyone

Wishing Bluesaphire and Glammagran a wonderful cruise 🚢

I am on granny duties today with the 10 yr old and The Imp, no plans will go with the flow.

Have a good day 🙋‍♀️

RosesandLilac Mon 14-Apr-25 07:04:54

Good morning, it’s sunny here at the moment in south Glos, the rain hasn’t yet materialised.
I got all my washing line dried yesterday 👏, cleaned and tidied through the house so all’s done at the moment.
I will take the dogs out shortly then I need to look for a few bits in my craft room- I had a tidy up recently and can’t find anything! That’ll keep me happily occupied for a while before I start another pastel drawing.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

NannyJan53 Mon 14-Apr-25 07:06:53

Good morning from a brighter Black Country, where it rained yesterday afternoon and overnight.

Meeting up with Cousin and Aunt at lunchtime, at a pub local to Mum. Mum, SIL and Brother are joining us. Not seen my cousin since October, before she started her Chemo, so looking forward to a lots of chat.

Photo's from DGD4 from her ski trip to Canada. She is having a ball!

Wishing you all the best day possible

RosieandherMaw Mon 14-Apr-25 07:19:48

Ah but was there a donkey @ Grandmattie ?
I remember one processing round our church many years ago and it was beautifully behaved!
Good morning all from N Bucks. Sunny but I understand it will be cooler.
Somewhat surprised by the rain yesterday, I suppose I shouldn’t be, April showers and all that.
Book group today -I hastily had to reread the book (Kate Atkinson ‘s “Death at the Sign of the Rook” and actually enjoyed it more than first time round - so win-win.)
Quick trip to the PO first though to return a Seasalt cotton jacket, nice enough, but I just don’t need it now I see what I have got from previous summers)
Wishing you a pleasant day and Holy Week - how the year is flying past! 😱😱😱

luluaugust Mon 14-Apr-25 07:19:50

Good morning from WKent where it is sunny at present. The cleaner is coming this morning and I have a pile of ironing so not very exciting. Looks like another quiet day
Best wishes

brook2704 Mon 14-Apr-25 07:25:22

Good morning everyone from a cloudy and much cooler Inverness, there’s not much sun in the forecast today
Hope your dad gets his appointment soon Pantglas and it’s soon sorted
I’m off to the gym this morning and then the DGC are both coming to stayover tonight. I’ll need to for in a trip to Tesco too to replenish the fridge
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Kalu Mon 14-Apr-25 07:26:02

Good morning all. A damp start to the day in Glasgow due to heavy rain and hail mostly overnight.

My outing today is a visit to the dentist early afternoon apart from that, Possibly a Waitrose visit for a few bits and pieces.

Have the best day possible all.

karmalady Mon 14-Apr-25 07:30:01

Good morning from s somerset, cloudy, cooler and windy, no rain

Still full moon effects for me, full moon yesterday, I slept fitfully again

The `new` milk/cream probiotic ferment has worked very well, I just had some on my breakfast, delicious. It takes 24 hours to stabilise in the fridge, to become creamy. Now I have two different lactobacillus species in separate pots in the fridge, also frozen as starters. Tomorrow evening I will combine both species, add milk/cream and prebiotic then ferment for 36 hours. One species is to colonise the small intestine with many advantages to the body, the other will colonise the large intestine to help sleep, both are excellent for the microbiome and hence the immune system

Taichinan, lovely beach photo yesterday, group energy would have been very calming

Yesterday not as `planned` I managed to order the last 5 large bags of real peat-based compost from the manufacturer and they will store in my garage this week. I tidied and made room in there yesterday. That stuff was like gold for the local gardeners. and I will use it carefully, it should last a few years

A trip out for me today, to source a compost called sylvagrow, there are good comments about that one, not so about rubbish westland. The stored westland in my garage is only fit to spread on my plot beds

I need to stretch my back, lifting heavy compost bags compresses me, makes me even shorter

Have a good day

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where Alexa tells me it’s 4°C sunny (yes it’s gorgeous here) and will be 15°C with possible showers. We have no plans. Himself just said ‘a whole new day, untouched’. We are enjoying TIB courtesy of Himself. School holidays for both of ours I’m sure we will be seeing something of them during the week. Mind you the Boy Wonder is starting ‘seeing his mates’ for a game of footie in the park opposite. They really do grow up so quickly. He will be 13 this summer and it seems like yesterday when he wanted to play at grandma’s! L’il Miss (8) still does of course. Yesterday I got a message “can I come to yours?” 😁 she doesn’t know her iPad is linked (sensibly) to her mum’s phone. Monitoring in a good way. Of course I replied “sure if mum says yes”.

Gingster Mon 14-Apr-25 07:47:06

Good morning all and it’s sunny but feels chilly here in Essex.

DS2 and family enjoyed their weekend at our seaside cottage. The weather was beautiful for them and they enjoyed their weekend at beach and even saw a seal (a rare highlight).
The neighbours rushed up to them with kind wishes for Dh and said how they’ve missed us being there. 😳.
They haven’t spoken to us for 5 years since we spent 10 weeks during lockdown there, and they disapproved! 🙄.

Today we have the Physio coming and later on the Stroke Nurse.

Brother and his wife visited yesterday but after an hour Dh told them he was tired and they beat a hasty retreat.
Being a ‘not very sociable’ man , it gives him (Dh) a valid excuse to get rid of people 😂🤣.

Happy cruising Bluesapphire and Glammagran. I’m very envious - we love a cruise.🛳️. Send pics and ‘take us with you’ .

Take care all and enjoy the day.🌱

GrannyIvy Mon 14-Apr-25 07:47:49

Good morning from a sunny Cambridgeshire.
Yesterday I dustbusted the bedroom looking for the little biters and all clean bedding again but woke this morning with two new bites!! Today the lounge will get a good do. There seem to be a lot of those little gnats around at the moment so wondering if they are the culprit!

Thinking of Gingster and her DH and hope this week will see progress and be easier.
Sending best wishes to all those struggling 💐
