Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve a cloudy start to the day but feels warm
Hoping the cruisers have a wonderful day today, especially Ash as I know you’ve been looking forward to the Keukenhof gardens for ages! Thank you for the pictures
It was an easy uneventful journey home from Cambridge last night with everything on time. DD2 kindly picked us up from the airport and dropped us home so in exchange I said I’d to go round today and help with a few jobs 😳
Hope the meeting goes ok grandmabatty
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

(44 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its light bit its clear and dry here in brackley this morning.
Usual routine , with bus trip to Bicester after some housework .
Health OK loosing weight .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning and it’s bright and sunny here in Essex.
Yesterday we sat in the garden while ds1 mowed the small lawn, staked up the acer and did a bit of weeding.
DIL and I discussed the book I gave her. Strange Sally Diamond. I think FGT read it and found it uncomfortable .
I ‘enjoyed’ it (if that’s the word) and DIL read it In two days. Couldn’t put it down.
Physio came yesterday and gave Dh a good hours session. He did well but was very tired afterwards. We’re sort of getting to grips with the catheter. Roll on Thursday (removal 🙏).
Lovely pics of your adventurers cruising grans.
Enjoy Hyde Hall Redcar. We often go as it’s only 15 mins away from us . It will be beautiful with all the blossom, new growth and spring flowers. We went about 4 weeks ago but probably won’t be going for a while now. 😢.
Take care all and enjoy the lovely weather. 🪴.
Good morning Mick and all GN's on a still bright morning in North Yorkshire.
The leaves have suddenly really filled out on the tree and it looks quite different this morning. There has been a problem on the roof and for the last few days there has been tapes put across so that we cannot walk at the back, for safety , in case of falling tiles . So the grass has been cut to near my patch, but mine is growing more. It is good for the plants and allowing things to flower, so have a little bit of no mow may here.
Yesterday not a good day, as besides usual problems had stomach problems and felt slightly dizzy. So a day of doing very little, as and when I felt able to . frustrating. Today improved a bit but neither energy or plans at the moment. I shall have to shake a leg and get myself moving. I need to go to the supermarket and as it is a better looking day, it is time to get the yellow peril out and get some fresh air, and wake myself up. If my back lets me I will try and get some weeding done this afternoon in the borders at the front. It should be easier as it is quite dry and then this evening plan to give it a good watering as the promised showers yesterday didnt arrive. So that is about it for today. Unlike all you very busy GN's doing so many things.
Blue Sapphire looks as though you are having a good time. Have never been to Sicily but reading your posts it is somewhere I might investigate in the future
Grandmabatty your brother seems to be determined to make your life more difficult in every way he can. You are having the patience of a saint, when you have all this added to a difficult situation.
Ashcombe, lovely pictures and I hope you have a wonderful visit today. One of these days I would like to get to see it too.
Susan hope you get a clinic appointment soon
Have a good day everyone and hope the weather stays fine all day and then a decent downpour in the night for the gardens!
Good morning from a brightening N.Bucks.
DH is off to golf and I have youngest DGS for a few hours. We will go to a play group and then have a picnic at the park. He is getting very excited as it will be his 4 th birthday on Wednesday.
Once he has gone home I have some project preparation to do for Wednesday craft club and I may go to a talk this evening at a local society.
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning from a sunny Norfolk. A little shopping this morning as we only bought clothes with us for an arctic winter, then off to a beach and a snack lunch somewhere.
Susan glad things went as well as possible
Marydoll Hope you don’t have another bug
Best wishes
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's cool and cloudy.
I double booked myself today so have to call off a gallery visit as I have
invited a friend over who wants to
help me to put my house sale on a
firmer footing. She also wants to
rummage through the books.
Yesterday I was supposed to have a studio clear out but apart from one
car load to the tip and another car
load going to the new studio,
everything looks the same.
The prospective house buyer brought
a few people round to inspect my
house too.
I will be so glad when it's all settled.
All the cruises sound lovely. I've not been to Hamburg.
Now for my exercise class.
Hoping everyone has a pleasant day.
A quick good morning from a sunny Suffolk before DH goes off to the surgery for a blood test. The little dog and I wil go in the car so that we can continue the few hundred yards( or should I say metres) to the sea for a walk on the beach.
No doubt we’ll have coffee and cake afterwards and there will be fewer people than would have enjoyed the glorious weather there over the weekend.
Will read your posts later but hope all are well and those with health worries have a good day.
Good morning from a lovely sunny midlands.
A positive day lies ahead. Hugs to all suffering.
Morning, sunny and 11 in S Hants.
I’m glad that’s done Susan hope the result is favourable.
Enjoy your trip out today Ashcombe, what lovely trips you cruisers are having.
Yesterday I planted out and sowed seeds, just checked those pesky slugs didn’t have a munch overnight.
Back on the voluntary phone today, a couple of financial phone calls to make, , chicken and lentil curry tonight before quiz.
🦩🦩
Glad to read the posts from Susan and Ashcombe, sorry that Marydoll is having such a hard time. Gardener here later and we need to do some planning but nothing else in mind so a reading day perhaps. Will relish the sunshine we are promised for the next two or three days, just wish the scaffolders would do the same.o
Good morning from cloudy Lancashire. The sun is trying to break through but not quite making it.
I am waiting on an Amazon delivery today, all the dispatch notification says it before 10pm so could be any time.
MrB took me for a trundle down to the Bullnose yesterday afternoon, it was very quiet. Perhaps too hot for some folk.
Happy Monday 🌹
Good morning from sunny Berkshire where I am staying with flying DD. The train journey down was unaffected as the fans for the football were coming into the city and I was leaving.
We had a quiet evening in with a homemade lasagne and she was tired after flying jobs.
She’s flying again today and my Dsister is coming over from London.
We’ll have a meal together and lots of catch up. DD will be back tonight.
I’m conscious of my grumbling abscess and don’t know what to do with the family holiday coming up soon and it needing a surgical op to take it out with the remains of the tooth from the failed extraction last year. It could ruin my holiday…
Thoughts to the cruisers for a happy time and hope you all have your best day.
Good morning everyone. It's cloudy as usual on the Angus coast BUT ....... the sun shone for a minute as I opened the blinds in the garden room. It's the evening sun we've been getting of late, so that was a pleasant surprise.
I had unexpected messenger conversations with two tai chi friends on the continent yesterday, one in Holland and one in Belgium.. The Belgian one was at a workshop in Cardiff - he's probably closer to here when he's home in Brussels! It was lovely to catch up with their news.
What on earth did we do before Messenger and WhatsApp!
Today I must do tai chi paperwork before I do anything else - if I don't do it first it will get put off again as I'm the world's greatest procrastinator! Hey ho.
I shall pop back and read the thread later but in the meantime wish a better day to the poorlies and those with problems, and of course Happy Cruising to the cruisers.
Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!
I'm having a brilliant time here on my 2nd day of holiday in a cute little B&B in Whitby! They do the most exquisite Welsh Rarebit! Oh it's so yummy!
The early hours between Saturday and Sunday I was well conked out in bed about 1:45 and suddenly woke up desperately trying not to scream the place down as I had agonizing cramp in BOTH of my feet! I was in fits of tears and gritting my teeth desperately trying not to scream, blood pressure through the roof as the bottoms and sides screwed up and both big toes and the ones next to them were twisting around and the right big toe on the top, the big bone felt like it was being hammered!
Eventually I managed to get out of bed after it held me hostage for several minutes, I couldn't ask the hosts at that time in the morning if they have ice packs! So I limped into the shower and switched it on as cold as I could get and used the head on my feet and legs for several minutes. Cramp HATES cold! The worm has turned!
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the cramping stopped then after, and I know we're not supposed to mix booze with pills but I took a couple of Anadin with a can of Stella then got back into bed! Thankfully I had no more cramps the entire night!
Have a good one all of you, whatever you're doing!
Last full day here in sunny Andalusia 🌞
It is also our DD’s 32nd birthday, where on earth have the years gone?
I haven’t been apart from DH this long since before Covid, looking forward to seeing him tomorrow 💞
Will read the thread over a latte and pastry in the pueblo in a while 🙋♀️
Enjoy your last day GG13 you’re coming back to sunshine too.
Magnesium spray works for cramp MrJ says TheWeirdo
Good morning from a brightening Co Armagh
Last night I was so tired I went to bed early , I slept some , I think I’ll try a few early nights
All is well in the green house and veg garden , I’ll sit round there with my kindle later
Hopefully a good day for everyone
Yes, I second sportsmen’s magnesium spray. I too suffer agonising cramp Weirdo, not sure if my statins cause it, but it comes on after the odd glass of wine and an evening out standing about.
