What has given you pleasure today? ( An anti-rant thread).

Here they are

Hearing our just 4 year old DGS laugh as he rode his two wheel bike for the first time.
For a while he wouldn’t try it as he said the pedals were in the wrong place.
He was used to the pedals being on the front wheel of his trike.

Having a right old belly laugh with the people I volunteer with.

We are away for a few days from tomorrow, visiting old friends. All packed and a rest now. Really looking forward to tomorrow.

Twinkle toes 😃very nice, all beach ready.

Mum popped in with a freshly baked cake earlier today, coffee and walnut , very moreish.We had a good old chat and then she did my ironing😁 it helps that she enjoys pressing clothes.

The swan that has been sitting on her nest for ages looking more & more droopy, was out on the lake with her mate and SEVEN cygnets this morning & looking very satisfied.

Spending the day with my sister. We went shopping, had coffee then did a lovely long walk for about
1hr 20mins on the local common.. Had to go home as we both needed to use the bathroom!!! Lol

Catching sight of a wonderfully camouflaged mother duck with a duckling. She was so still.

I spent much of yesterday declutterring and sorting then got a message from my daughter asking for a lift home from the bus.
This turned into tea and cake and then her husband came home plus granddaughter and her boyfriend and he opened his birthday presents. All the better as it was unplanned, though I did have enough time to quickly wash my hair and change first. Lovely family moments.

The goldfinches are back in my garden, feasting on the spent cornflower heads. What glorious little birds they are. Summer is truly upon us!

One of them is a youngster, not in his full plumage yet, but he knows what he’s about.

I’ve got a bit of a problem….Too many six foot sunflowers! Nice problem to have though.

I booked a secure dog field and went there with my daughter. My dog is reactive (she goes for every dog she doesn’t know) and every walk is stressful. Today she ran free and chased balls and explored for a care free hour. Wonderful for both of us.

Sat down and got on with knitting the turquoise cardigan for charity. As I'm knitting I'm thinking of the next thing I'll make. Made a great sandwich for lunch, brie and avocado. Contemplating going to potter in the garden now.

They are very comfy and look lovely on.
