While out in town today I had a brief sit down along with various other shoppers of all ages and races. An elderly man dropped a coin under the bench and a young African man leapt into action, ,crawling under the seat to retrieve it for him, then smiled broadly at us all and wished everyone a happy day before heading off. It really lifted my spirits.

I have a clean house, bedding changed and washed and my garden weeded. I have to admit I oversaw it all!

I was just in town and thought that an ice lolly would be just the ticket. I knew that the ice cream van would be outside the shopping centre, but the window was closed when I got there. Just then a man passed me and went to the van so I loitered. Sure enough he got in and opened the window so I got my orange lolly and sat in the sun to eat it. First one of the year.

I have at last decided that the chance of frost is over so have reorganised my many patio pots, feeding and topping up the permanent ones, and potting on the annuals grown from seed or plugs. It is so satisfying! I did an Asda shop this morning and bought some Magnum Euphoria ice creams. One will go down nicely as I sit and recover.

I went to choir. I can't sing but going to my choir gives me a real buzz.

The warmth of the sunshine.

Fresh crusty bread with butter and apricot jam for breakfast.

Some washing on the line warm and dry.

A bargain milk jug and sugar basin from the local charity shop
A lilac tree in full bloom on the way back. 😊

After attempting bed changing and some cleaning this morning I'm sitting outside listening to the birds which is giving me pleasure.

A long journey, most of it along the Heads of the Valleys Valleys Road in Wales. Quiet, beautiful countryside, and a warm breeze.

I filled a suitcase with things I no longer need and delivered it to the charity shop. They particularly like the case!
Then I walked about 3 miles through the woods and along the river. I'm just home, tired and happy 😊

It's the simple, wholesome things that make the heart sing, isn't it.

Seeing a swan sitting on its nest in Walsall Arboretum.

The weather it's so lovely, perfect for me these days, really warm, mid 20s without being too hot. Everything looking verdant on a walk earlier and all the different flowering in our garden. I'm enjoying sitting on our patio in my pendant egg shaped swing seat looking at the garden enjoying the peace and quiet, just the birds.

My dentist told me she can repair the tooth I thought was a complete gonner with a simple filling.

Warm sunshine outside drying my clothes etc.
A clean kitchen after my son was home alone all weekend.
Mark Carney winning the election in Canada.
A phone call from a friend inviting me out on Friday.
This thread! I was thinking of starting one but now I don't need to bother...

I mended my torn garden seat cover with parcel-tape. Feel pleased I don’t have to buy a new one 😂

A photo from yesterday’s drive to our next town, taken through the windshield so not the best quality. The highway runs through some magnificent cottonwoods.

Fritillaria from my garden. They’re on the kitchen table, but I find them a bit stinky!

Another one who has been to choir this afternoon - I find singing so uplifting

The bluebells gave such a lovey perfume on my dog walk today. Sunshine, birds singing. Lovely

I had a 20% offer through the door from Waitrose. I thought this was a mistake as we haven’t got a Waitrose within striking distance and they’ve never delivered to our humble postcode, but yay, they do now! I feel that our area’s been elevated- perhaps our house prices will be going up? grin
