Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country where it rained overnight.

Yesterday was very sunny and quite hot. So glad we put the Gazebo up Saturday morning.

Walking group walk this morning, then Line Dancing this afternoon.

Hoping all goes well today Grandmabatty and thoughts with the FGT's that they have a positive outcome.

Enjoy Llandudno Whiff I have been but it was many years ago.

Hope Marydoll had a good weekend.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but showers forecast this afternoon. Yesterday was beautiful and I managed to get the back grass cut even though it was like a jungle after 4 weeks away. The mower batteries needed extra charging it was so long. I will ask the gardener to trim the edges if he has time on Thursday.

Giving yoga a miss this morning as I don't feel quite ready for an early start just yet, and am planning a day of gently catching up on household tasks and admin.

Thinking of the FGT2s and Grandmabatty today.
Enjoy the sunshine 🌞 everyone.

Have a very Happy Birthday, Harri🎂💐🍷.

Morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire. Guess who believed the weather forecast and didn't put the garden cushions away.🌧🌧

Good morning from a sunny W Kent.
Cleaner this morning, I shall start the packing for going away Thursday. Yesterday was spent in the garden reading plus a pile of ironing.
Best wishes to all those with hospital appointments and procedures today

Good morning. Bright and sunny in N. Bucks at the moment but not sure what the weather will do later.
We will be going out to do a few errands. I need some supplies for craft club. We’ll take the car to be cleaned and MIL has asked us to buy some wine. On the way home we’ll pop into the garden centre to pick up a couple of plays I forgot on Saturday. Might sneak in some lunch in the cafe too.

Good luck with all the hospital/doctor appointments and happy holidays to those on their travels.
Wishing all a good day.

Good morning from sunny Suffolk with no hint of rain. This hot sun is great for shrivelling the small weeds I hoed yesterday.

DH is off to the surgery for a blood test and I’ll do the morning dog walk which will be short . DH is the little dog’s favourite and she will be anxious to get home to see where he is. He was in hospital for 10 weeks at the end of 2021 and she continued to search the house for him for the first 7 weeks of his absence.

A quiet day in the shade of the garden or the summerhouse for the rest of the day. I hope all is well for those attending medical appointments today with positive outcomes.

Happy birthday harri 🎂🎈

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday was hot, we reached 22°C. I was out in the garden in the morning, tending to my runner beans which I have put in large pots this year in the hopes that the slugs will be easier to control. They decimated the beans last year. I have the greatest respect for their indestructible qualities having once found one clambering over a prickly cactus in a former greenhouse.
I went out in the afternoon too but soon had enough, it became really warm and sultry and clouds gathered. I didn't think it would rain though and it didn't so it will probably be out with the hose today.
My morning will be spent on the weekly chores, the vacuuming, bed changing and laundry etc. My afternoon, in the garden? More plants to hack into the ground still.

Best wishes to all those coping with medical matters, I hope all goes well for you all.

Good morning all from an overcast Wiltshire.

We had a very heavy rain yesterday afternoon with a rumble of thunder but it didn’t last for very long. The ground is baked hard and the awful compost these days is like dust.

Best wishes to Grandmabatty and Bella’s littlest GS. Thinking of FGT2’s DH today.

Happy Birthday to Harrisgran 🎊

Good morning all from a misty Elie. I have been trying to get an insect sting out from behind my knee, since 6am. Sigh.
I usually bring enough stuff to survive a nuclear winter ( you never know), but I had neither tweezers nor a needle. I have to be so careful of infection.
I messaged DD and DIL, who are in the other apartment and DD came down to try and remove it. ( DH was no use at all.)

I hope all goes well for all the hospital procedures and appointments today, wishing you a speedy recovery.
An anxious time for you, FGT, 💐.

I have had a wonderful time (including managing the sibling bickering, no family is perfect, including mine.😉)
The weather has been glorious and we have had lovely meals, indulged in fine wines, walked off the calories with plenty of
exercise.
I have rested well, but my family were concerned at how little I could manage to eat. My whole mouth is raw.

Yesterday,Dollie and I went out on our own to the boutique. The plan was that I would take her for juice and a treat, but nothing was open, including my shop, so we decided to have juice and a treat on the beach.
We had just sat down on a bench, when I looked down and there was Babydoll playing on the sand with her parents.
This is where I made a major mistake. DIL2 asked Dollie if she wanted to stay with them, while I went clothes shopping.
I bumped into the walkers and told DIL1 where Dollie was, with DIL2.
I merrily returned to the apartment, oblivious to the fact that my reckless DS2 had encouraged Dollie to go in the sea. Unfortunately, she was dressed for lunch and DIL1 was fuming, because she was soaked through.
I am a failure as a grandmother!! I didn't think DS2 would be
that daft! 😔

While out walking, Dollie stopped and handed me a decorated envelope, I assumed it was a birthday card. When I opened it, it was full of cash to treat myself in the boutique,
I burst into tears. I seem to be doing that a lot recently.

Home today, but firstly breakfast at the harbour, then fish and chips in Anstruther.

I have lots of photos, but can't upload them. The WiFi signal is week.

I wish you all a pleasant day and best wishes to all, who have mountains to climb. 💐

Happy Birthday Harrigran 🎂🥂🥳

Morning from an overcast S Hants, not a sniff of badly needed rain.
Thoughts with FGT and himself this afternoon, Gbatty and Ashcombe too.
I hope this is the one Grammaretto
A very sunny warm day watching our grandson and his team progress to their football final yesterday, he scored all three goals and was man of the match 🙂
Today voluntary phone, watering early evening after I’ve played taxi for a friend to the airport, then quiz.
Happy birthday harrigran 🎂🥳

A late good morning from Inverness, we’ve a bit of cloud around but it’s forecast to be warm and sunny later
A very Happy Birthday Harrigran! 💐🎂🥂
I overslept a bit, I don’t know if it’s still jet lag but I seem to have developed a pattern of waking up about 4am for an hour or so then falling back to sleep until gone 8 - I really don’t want to develop this sleep habit as it’s so annoying
Hoping all goes well for Grandmabatty and thr FGTs today, and tomorrow for Bellas DGS
I’ve not had chance to read all the posts yet so will do that later, in the meantime wishing everyone the best day they can, take care all 💐

Good morning everyone from a rather cloudy Lancashire.

A flying visit as MrB is taking me to Lytham for some fresh air and sea breezes.

Hoping for good news for FGT2 and her DH.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

Wishing all you all a happy Monday 🌹♥️

Good Morning from Durham. A dull, grey start at 6am has given way to a bit of a shower now. BBC forecast is for another scorcher - remains to be seen.

Coffee this morning as usual, then I’ll start my packing list for the weekend.

Happy birthday Harri and others celebrating. Safe travels to those on the move and special thoughts for the FGTs today.

Best wishes to all. X

Happy birthday Harrigran 🌹

Good morning all, the sun has broken through the cloud here in South Lanarkshire. It’s going to be another beautiful day.

Happy birthday harrigran.

Thinking of the FGTs today.

Enjoy your last day Marydoll, safe journey home.

Happy holiday Whiff.

Sending good wishes to GMbatty and Bella’s DGS.

I did a fair bit of weeding yesterday and will carry on with that this morning. Dentist and hygienist appointments this afternoon, a necessary evil I’m afraid as it’s a constant struggle to keep my gums halfway healthy.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

After a busier than usual weekend am enjoying a quiet morning before the gardener arrives - I have a list of jobs and we need to do some planning for summer. All the tulips are over apart from Queen of the Night so we need to add some colour as the summer flower ears will be a few weeks yet.

Thinking of the FGTs and hoping for reassurance for them.

GrannySomerset Mon 12-May-25 09:12:11

Flowers ears? Flowerers!

Good morning Mick and all from a grey, misty Angus coast. It's forecast to be sun by 11am 🤞.
This afternoon I'm going with some of my tai chi friends to the funeral of one of our number. She was just two weeks older than me and used to call me her 'little sister'. So sad that she's gone.
I have read quickly through the posts but my brain has no adhesive power this morning. However, I hope your viewing this afternoon is hopeful this afternoon grammaretto, and that hospital treatments go well for Grandmabatty today and Bella's little twin tomorrow. Thoughts with the FGTs flowers. Belated happy birthday wishes to Harrigran and enjoy your time beside a beautiful Scottish loch. Whiff happy holiday in Llandudno. Brook I too wake up around 4am - just before sunrise - and then sleep until the sun has reached an acceptable height. This morning I slept until 8am as well, probably because the sun failed to put in an appearance.
Enjoy your lovely warm sunny days everyone, and whywhywhy I hope you feel better as the day goes on 🫂.

Cossy Mon 12-May-25 09:39:54

Good luck to all Gransnetters and their families in any challenges and health issues they are experiencing flowers
