Woke

Awesome- as in job done and said in a patronising way

Perfect- in answer to phone questions. No! Answering a question isn't perfect unless you're ticking off a list, which you are!

Maggiemaybe

Not quite as bad though as “the hubster”, or “the wonderful man”. 🤢

Literally, as in “I literally died”. Well no, you didn’t.

My MIL once said "I was literally having kittens". The mental image still haunts me.

LIKE … when like used as like almost every other like word in a like sentence. angryangryangry

Magenta8 Mon 12-May-25 15:01:19

110%
Zero tolerance
Elephant in the room
Innovative
The other/better half, the boss (of partner)

JenniferEccles Mon 12-May-25 15:17:47

With the under 25 year olds it’s got to be
‘like’. It does seem a habit they grow out of though, thankfully!

For everyone else….
Doubling down
Incredibly
Journey. Everyone’s on a ‘journey’ of some sort, without actually physically moving!
Oh and “can I get?” If the customer is told yes, I then have an image of people leaping over the counter to ‘get’ their coffee or whatever it is they would like to have!

LovesBach Mon 12-May-25 15:19:29

'Brilliant'; I was quite flattered, but having just given someone my address for a form, it didn't seem justified.
'Like' - used so often in a sentence, almost every other word, and the whole thing becomes unintelligible.
'Reaching out' is another one that sets the teeth on edge.

AGAA4 Mon 12-May-25 15:20:26

Got/Get as in I've got this or can I get a coffee.

My truth.

Gillycats Mon 12-May-25 15:26:23
