Whilst I totally believe Macron that he was not doing cocaine with Starmer and Merz on the train to Ukraine, what self respecting French man leaves his grubby tissue on the table, then shakes his snotty hand with Starmer and touches our PM on the arm?
Has he forgotten covid, pour L'amour de Dieu?
Hope our PM doesn't go down ill, or is that a ploy by the President ?

Well some people are not very good at disposing of their own rubbish and leave it for someone else to do. I wonder if Macron’s wife is chief tidy upper?

I presumed his hankie would be a monogrammed silk one.

It looks like a tissue.
Many many years ago I had a student job as a waitress, and one thing I hated was having to clear away a napkin/serviette that someone had blown their nose in.
I bet more than 50% of people use their napkin as a handkerchief and expect the waitress to dispose of it. (I wonder what our 'leaders' are like when it comes to hand washing after using the toilet?

Perhaps it was a tissue or paper napkin that had been used to mop up a spill of the water that's on the table. Macron always seems exceptionally clean, immaculately presented and well mannered to me.
