Good morning from a dull Suffolk where I’m hoping the sun will appear later as it did yesterday meaning we had a pleasant afternoon in the summerhouse with the doors wide open.

The new cafe we tried yesterday had the most delicious coffee. They roast the coffee beans on site as well as making their own chocolate. In talking to the delightful young woman serving us,we found that they have plans to increase the building, but we hope they don’t make it too impersonal.

As well as coffee and chocolate, they make their own ice cream so we couldn’t resist buying a large one to take home….rum and raisin was DH’s choice but salted caramel was a close second.

A quiet day here today before what looks like a busy week ahead. Hope today is a good one for all.

Good morning all and it’s a bit grey here in Essex.

Yesterday afternoon was lovely. A cancer research tea with 110 people attending. The food was plentiful and varied, all home cooked by the committee. It’s the best afternoon tea , we all agreed , compared to very expensive hotel venues. £15 a head and far superior to most. £1,600 was made.
Dd and I were on a large table with friends, old and new, so lots of chatter and laughter.

DGD6 looked after her grandad and they were fine. I don’t think a lot of chatter and laughter went on - Dh watching the footie final and DGD on her I pad, mainly both eating cakes, but they were both happy and content.😂🤣.

Nothing planned for today, DS and DIL might come for coffee and I’ll mow the lawn at some point, and take the dog over the fields for a run.

Pants enjoy your trip.
Bellasnanna I hope you feel better and brighter. I woke at 4 am with a headache and stiff neck and didn’t sleep after that. I’ve been very tired lately , I suppose looking after Dh is catching up with me.
I do miss him doing some of the jobs share - mowing the lawn, walking the dog, putting out the bins, washing up etc. I’ll gradually ‘ask’ him to do a small task to get him going again ☺️.

Take care all 🌼

Grammaretto is Henderson's still there? It was the first vegetarian restaurant in Edinburgh to my knowledge.
I've just had to order a new coffee machine. Mine has started leaking badly and stopping. I'm a bit upset as it was a retirement gift from my friend and her mum, both of whom have since died.
Taichinan I've managed Dumyat once and from the easy route!

Hendersons in Hanover St closed a few years ago, Grandmabatty but members of the family opened a restaurant with the Henderson name and using some original recipes, but now table service and more expensive but good and entirely vegetarian/vegan. It's in Bruntsfield Place near the King's theatre which seems to be forever closed for refurbishment.

Glorious morning so church in the next village and then an indolent day - Sundays are hard on your own, as several of us have observed. Am glad to have a garden to potter in, birds to watch and the Sunday paper to read.

Good morning Mick and everyone, I'm a bit late to the party today. I haven't slept in, I've been out polishing my halo, aka washing the car! Even I can no longer bear looking at it, especially as it's now under the birds' bombing run as happens every spring. I'd hoped to use my hose as I've now thought the outside tap safe from frost damage but no, my new universal connector just blows off when I connect the hose so it was a buckets of water job. Now I'm ready for a second breakfast and will eat it whilst admiring my sparkling car from the window.

The rest of the day? I think I've had enough exercise so will relax with the papers and magazines with a clear conscience.

I hope you all have a pleasant Sunday and all you poorlies are on the mend and can enjoy the sun.

Good morning from the NE where I am home from my holiday. It is cool grey and windy, so disappointing after the lovely weather in Scotland.
I will be having a quiet day as I am in a lot of pain.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning from high cloud in S Hants, I expect the sun will appear later.
We watched the game Sar rooting for Palace, well done your team.
Talking of which, it’s Finley’s football final this afternoon, we’ll all be there, with our fingers crossed. Straight from there to meat draw, it’s about time we won something!
Yesterday I had the hoe out, pesky weeds, I do hope we have some proper rain soon.
Beautiful pictures this morning, thank you

Good morning everyone - grey start in Surrey but the sun is now coming through and the roses are looking lovely. Garden today I think. Feeling a little off kilter - mum died 20 years ago and I still feel it especially on the anniversary.

Grandmabatty have you tried descaling your coffee machine?
That might be what's wrong with it 🤞🏻

Good morning everyone from another overcast day in Northampton although sun is promised later.

A good day at the rugby yesterday, as we came away with a last minute win after.trailing by at least 12 points for most of the match. Eventually beat Saracens 28-24. The promised sun arrived after a chilly wind and people all around were stripping off coats and jackets. The last home match of the season until we meet again in August/September. It was lovely to see DD and DS-in-law again.

The plan today is a late breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast then a walk up to the local garden centre. It has recently been taken over by a new company and completely refurbished. I may buy some bedding plants for my pots at the front, but am limited as to how much I can carry home!

Then catch up with the weekend newspapers and and cook a mini chicken crown for
dinner.

Wishing everyone is lovely Sunday.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. Still no rain, I’m enjoying the warm dry weather as my aches and pains lessen, but I know we need rain to keep the soil in good condition and the plants healthy.

Yesterday was a quiet day here, we had a walk down to the river and I am finding it easier now. I’m also getting better at controlling the tri walker. Most pavements here have a barely noticeable slope towards the dock. It helps to drain them as the water runs off. It’s very noticeable to me when I’m using the walker and I realised yesterday that it’s easier if I walk in a particular line. Another little win smile. Today will be much the same, we are planning a trip up to Glasson Dock tomorrow, a lovely drive along country roads.

Hope you feel better soon Bellasnana, not a nice feeling.

If I were a ‘health care professional’ I would prescribe a day of rest for you both GrandmaBatty and Marydoll. I suspect your definition of taking it easy won’t be the same as mine grin

Kalu flowers

Good luck to Finley and team in their cup final Jaxjacky.

Hope FGT2 and DH are making progress with the new treatment

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives. Many of you are feeling sad at being alone on a sunny Sunday, I hope you find some comfort.

Thank you all for the beautiful photos.

Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday 🌹♥️

Vera, sadly no. There's something wrong with the motor too and it won't run without a great deal of finger pushing the button. I've given it all a good clean but nope. It pours me a coffee but water also gives everywhere.
Grammaretto thank you for your information. Very useful to know.
