Good morning from a cloudy Bristol. The sun will burn those clouds off soon.
Quiet day again yesterday. I spent most of it trying to finish my quilt. Tomorrow? I’ve also started another for the Age UK fete in July, where I’ve promised it for a raffle prize. I have miscounted the squares and now find myself with the wrong number of colour distribution. Hey ho!
Today, Tesco the WI in the afternoon. One of the members has offered me a nearly new sewing machine for DGD1. I’m collecting it today. She will be beside herself with pleasure.

Good morning from Malta where a sunny day is forecast with a high of 25°C.

Yesterday was a wasted day for me as I felt unwell and didn’t even get out of my pjs.

I did watch the tennis and was very pleased with the result.

I’m off to look after the boys although my insides are still not happy so I won’t be straying far from the bathroom.

Thanks for your kind messages yesterday, as many of you will know, it is no fun feeling ill and a bit scared when you live alone.

Good morning from s somerset, sun and clouds today, a nice day

Yesterday was pleasantly busy all day. I left early for a longer cycle ride, it was lovely. Had coffee in my garden mesmerised by the tinkling water and birds, happy to see some more bumble bees too. Cut out 2 pairs of undies from an unworn crossover pima jersey top that did not suit me, rose pink with small white flowers

I went up to the allotment for a short time, weeding and some watering, admiring the growing pods of broad beans. Then before bed, some sewing of my skirt. Looking good and a perfect pattern match as it will have 10 buttons down the front. A very difficult fabric to work with but it does feel nice and cool and slippery.

I have craft group this afternoon and will sew the skirt waistband before bed

Today is my 75th birthday! Our recent cruise with the memorable visit to Keukenhof Tulip Gardens was by way of celebration. I shall attend my Move It or Lose It class as usual then I’m on Front of House duty tonight at our theatre for the opening night of The Late Edwina Black.

You do much for others, grandMattie so it’s good that the kind donation to your DGD1 has come about.

I hope you soon feel better, Bellasnana and that the boys help by being good today.

From there we went to our busy local for the meat draw, nil points there either!

After the planting was completed yesterday there was not a lot of other activity here. Today will see some light dust removal, filling the slow cooker a base for cottage pie and maybe a little admin, see how I feel. Our lovely neighbour and friend has appointments with both an oncologist and plastic surgeon today, I’ll be edgy on her behalf

Hope you feel stronger as the day progresses bellasnana and your little lads behave.

Thoughts are with everyone with personal mountains to climb. Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey cool South Yorkshire. It was overcast for most of the day yesterday but I was occupied inside for most of the time. I did have a walk after tea.
Today I’m going to get on the bus and go to our city museum where one of our local artists, Pete McKee, has an exhibition. I like his work; it’s quirky and makes people smile.

Good morning everyone, it’s cloudy here too but will soon clear.
My favourite walk first thing yesterday started in misty murky conditions but was warm, bright sunshine by the end. I might do it again this morning as the dogs both enjoy it so much, bigger dog can be off lead throughout. If not then I’ll take them out separately.
Little planned for today except digging out a shrub in one border that’s overtaken everything, I’m not even sure what it is.

Good morning everyone, cloudy here but mild. Yesterday we didn’t see the sun until about 3 o’clock, hope it’s earlier than that today. I sat with my dementia friend yesterday morning while her DH was at an appointment. She was very sleepy all the time.
DD1 was away on Saturday night with some university friends, but her DH brought the grandchildren and dog to see me yesterday afternoon. Good to see them, even for a short while before they had to collect DD1 from the station,
Did a bit more weed clearing in the front garden.

Good morning everyone from a sunny Northampton, but it is forecast to cloud over later. Yesterday morning was chilly and cloudy, but it cleared mid afternoon and the sun was lovely.

I had a nice walk to the garden centre and back, it's about a mile each way. Was quite impressed with our new-look store, but there is an annoying one-way system, which means you cannot go straight to the section you want. It was very busy, lots of people enjoying lunch in the cafe, but I just had a coffee and indulged in a slice of coffee cake.
Bought two packs of geraniums for my pots at the front and will plant them this afternoon.

Yoga this morning, first one since before my cruise (nearly 6 weeks), so I hope it's an easy session! Then to the little cafe round the corner for coffee.

Unfortunately, I do not feel any better today and have so much to do.
On Saturday, I was just saying how surprisingly well I was feeling for a change,. I should have kept quiet!! 😒

Good morning from an overcast Essex coast. It was like this yesterday until the sun appeared about 3'sh.
We watched Gerfalcon, one of the Dunkirk small ships, set off from our club on her way, eventually to Ramsgate and then Dunkirk. We followed her down the river on board a friend's boat before we had to turn back to dock before the tide turned.

Good morning from a cloudy Suffolk but I can see hints of blue sky so fingers crossed for another lovely day.

I have my monthly meeting on Wednesday so shall spend most of this morning at least reading the papers in preparation. This afternoon We might pop out for tea and cake to the cafe in our nearest garden centre which is only a couple of miles away. It is a small family run one with a recently opened cafe which we haven’t yet tried.

Good morning Mick and everyone from an overcast Carlisle where it is slowly brightening up.
Yesterday was a fairly quiet day for me. I see Sunday as a day of indulgence where I don't do anything tedious. I did do some baking in the morning, I have a new cookbook and tried out two of the recipes with mixed success even though I followed instructions to the letter. Tasty results though one I will not be repeating. They are supposed to be healthy recipes but no calorie counts are given and I suspect that in the case of the chocolate pecan cookies, they are rather high!
Incidentally....whenever I get a new cookbook, I find myself opening it at the end and working forward. The back is always where the cakes and puddings are. I tell myself that that's not the reason I'm doing it, it's because I'm left-handed and that's how my brain works! I do often read a newspaper like that too.

Today I'll get the routine housework and laundry out of the way and maybe a bit of planting in the garden later. Must be careful with the latter, for some unknown reason my back is feeling dodgy this morning. I think my joints are signalling a change in the weather.
