Rowan and Martins laugh in. Lie detector. Did you see your lady friend last night. Beep. What did you do? We had a kiss. Beep. And a cuddle. Beep. And that's all. Beeep

I had forgotten Dallas. Sat in our newly bought first house watching it sitting on the floor cushions. Trendy but sooooo uncomfortable. We had very little furniture. Dallas was wonderful. The shoulder pads and hairstyles. And windy breakfasts on the back porch with the mother. Miss Something.

They must all be ancient or gone now. Must google.

We've watched a couple of episodes of The Beverley Hillbillies on Talking Pictures TV. It's still good fun.

I think the oldies are not so golden anymore.
Times have changed and several just don't seem interesting/funny any more... and so many are casually exist too.

I think it's better to remember the pleasure I once had than try to revisit and be disappointed.

My suggestions were old but not as old as many on this list I think.

Couldn’t agree more. 99% of these old shows are so bad. The
Scripts 😱 so stilted.
But I know in my bones that Schitts Creek will stand the test of time. 😂

That's TV is repeating Goodnight Sweetheart and it's really cleverly written, a man travelling between London in 1993 and 1941 and having partners in both time zones. It's the sort of sitcom that would never be made now.

freevee titles are free with ads via Amazon or redbox tv but it's hit and miss trying to find titles. To search the database properly, you need to access it via an app on your mobile or streaming media player. visit here redboxtv.io/

I always looked forward to Whose Line Is It Anyway? Some clips are on YouTube, they are still funny, so quick witted.

I miss all the great sitcoms that were a highlight every week until the late nineties. They were an ideal way to switch off from the grim events in the real world and it's surprising how many stand up well now. I watched on Sunday night the film version of The Likely Lads and the hunour is stll excellent 49 years later. Also borrowed a DVD last year of the 1996 Only Fools And Horses Christmas special and started cheering when Del and Rodney finally became millionaires.
Nowadays there are too many stupid reality shows that no one will remember or watch re runs of in 30 years time, " Celebrity" game shows every night, and joyless soaps.

I felt that about Butterflies when I watched an episode a couple of years back. Loved it at the time, but goodness how annoying she was. Almost yelled "just get a job and a cleaner"at the tv. Maybe she had a cleaner anyway.

She did have a cleaner called Ruby. Why did her husband and two sons just sit around and moan and joke about her meals, did it not occur to any of them to learn to cook for themselves?
Very much of its time. I can't say I miss it.
