Reading about Grandmabatty's and Jaxjacky 's tasty dinners, favourites of mine, has made me realise I've not had mine!! Some days I just have a toastie. Must try harder!

Enjoy your wee break in Dundee, GrandmaC47. DH and I had a great time there in between lockdowns, we stayed at the waterfront and had a fantastic visit to the Discovery.

My massage yesterday was very helpful, thank you lovely ladies for your kind comments. I have another appointment next week, I'm so glad our GP practice has this available cos I've still not heard from Physiotherapy, I was referred by A and E doctor on Easter Sunday. I phone every week to enquire but no one answers.

DGD (nearly 14) and Grandpup are coming to 'keep me company ' tomorrow, that should be interesting!

And just wanted to give a heads up that somebody we know whose DH is about to start another round of chemo and a trial won't be posting because somebody else in their infinite wisdom has seen fit to report her and the plug has been pulled.
She is sorry she can't even say goodbye and thank you for all your immense kindness and invaluable support.
I just hope "whoever" is proud of themselves to cast out somebody who is facing perhaps the greatest struggle of her marriage (been there, done that remembering how I too was left in isolation and loneliness.)
And how terminally ill Phoenix was barred just months before she left us.
I find it hard to credit the unkindness of some people , the lack of basic charity.
Ah well, takes all sorts.
If this gets deleted I hope enough people have read it and pass the message on.

I don't understand why someone would do that. It seems really cruel. It's taken a lot for FGT to post that update. There's nothing contentious about it.

I finally started to declutter the dining room, there are several boxes of toys that very occasionally get played with by the granddaughters on their short visits. So I threw out several old Barbie dolls and some of their clothes. Then I looked at one of the canteens of cutlery under the glass cabinet and decided that it could go to the charity shop if they want it. I’ll “make do” with the other three canteens I have acquired from somewhere. I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of my mum’s old dessert spoons though. I gave up after that, didn’t want to exhaust myself - ha ha!

I was about to post my best wishes and positive hopes for FGT and Himself, which I have obviously now just done 😉, when I read Rosie’s Maw’s post detailing what has recently transpired due to the actions of others, and frankly it beggars belief.
Why would someone do that irrespective of which thread FGT posted on, because unless they’ve been on Mars these last few years they would/should have been aware of the FGT’s situation and at the very least ‘cut her some slack’ if they disagreed with whatever had been posted.
At times I do despair about the humanity of some people and hope that Mrs FGT is re- instated sooner rather than later especially given the recent news.
Rant over, can you tell I’m cross? Sorry about that as this such a gentle place, but I needed to let off steam.

I don't post on this thread often either but what IS the matter with people? I have read FGT's posts for years under her old and new name. How spiteful some people are.

I’ve been to the theatre this evening an early performance of Six. It was a Christmas present. It wasn’t really my cup of tea. One of the singers had a rather screechy voice too.

I’m another who rarely posts in the kitchen but follow everyone’s news.
I’m shocked at the cruel treatment of FGT. Does nobody at HQ have a heart?
I also remember Maw being banned, when we had to refer to her as, ‘the lady with the thin dog,’ and the unbelievable banning of Phoenix.
This is no longer the caring, supportive site it used to be. 😢

Wish there was a like button as Merlotgran I’d have ‘liked’ your post- I totally agree with everything you wrote.
I’d hopef that the Mods maybe would’ve learnt from the Maw Phoenix debacle and the fall- out which followed, but it seems not. Sad times indeed.

It’s our last weekend with our foster pup, who will be going back to the charity that owns him next week, to train as an assistance dog.. what a treasure he is 😍🐾 I will miss him.
