Good morning from Malta where it is windy but a sunny, hot day is forecast.

Had a good day with the boys yesterday although neither of them napped so I didn’t get my hour of peace!😂

Took them to nursery then went and had my nails done (photo in case you’re interested 😄) stuck to pale pink on my toes as well.

Another day with the boys today, no nursery so I try to take them out but it’s getting so hot it’s difficult to know where to take them.

Hope you all have a good day.☀️

Good morning from a damp Bristol. We’ve had a teeny bit of rain, more is promised, but it seems to go round us.
After Tesco yesterday, quick lunch, then went to town to get more fabric for my new trousers. I hadn’t bought enough. Few buses being holiday. The shop had run out, so I got something else. Another long wait for the return bus.
I cut out the trousers, but haven’t started to assemble/sew. Today’s job.
I had a rubbish, broken night, and am very tired today. Fortunately, I’ve got no commitments, so need do only what I feel like.
Love the nails, bellasnana. I’ve got horribly ugly hands and nails ☹️, so have “hand envy”.
I hope the week brings contentment to all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a dreary, chilly Torbay.with rain expected later.

Thank you for your interest in my audition but I was unsuccessful this time. The part went to someone who did a better audition, according to the director, who rang yesterday. The auditions took place behind closed doors. Next, I shall try for a small part in “It’s A Wonderful Life”, our Christmas 2025 production.

So sad for those celebrating the success of Liverpool F.C. last night for the evening to end as it did. My thoughts and prayers are with those who were injured, especially those in hospital of whom one is a child.

Good morning Mick and everyone. We had heavy overnight rain in Cheshire and the roses are looking a bit sorry for themselves, but they soon pick up.

My DGS was a street away from the awful scenes in Liverpool yesterday. My DD and I were unaware of events until be called to say he was safe. That was a shock. Then I had messages from friends and relatives here, in Canada and the US, so the news went out very quickly. His friend's father went to find them and bring them home. So sad for the injured and their families, and a shock for all who witnessed that dreadful act.

Have a good day whatever your plans. Special wishes to those with worries or illness. flowers

Good morning from soggy south Glos, more rain today!
I enjoyed our longer walk yesterday despite getting absolutely drenched when the skies opened 😄, never mind.
I lit the wood burner when we got back and everything was cosy for the rest of the day.
I will take tiddler out for a walk early then get on with some art stuff, bigger dog has her dog walker so the day’s mine to do as I choose 😊
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning from the Essex coast. A day of mixed weather is forecast for today. It's very windy outside at the moment.
I'm another who has been awake for hours. My brain seems to go into overdrive in the middle of the night.
I need to change the bed and do some washing. Ironing and club admin too. I also need to go and collect my medication from the chemist.
I'm also thinking of those injured in Liverpool yesterday, what an awful end to a glorious day.
Best wishes to all xx

Grandmabatty Tue 27-May-25 06:23:50

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and bright. Ash that's a shame you weren't successful. Hopefully next time. Bellasnana lovely nails. Like GrandMattie, I have hand envy!
Yesterday I drove to Tesco and bought makeup and some things for the boys. I played with the makeup once home and enjoyed having eyebrows 😂. I was very tired yesterday and had a long nap in the afternoon. Not really like me.
Today I'm picking up the boys, bringing them back to my house, giving them breakfast and then taking them to school/nursery. Then I'll pick them up later. In between, I'll not do much. Have a good day all

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but rain is to follow this afternoon. Yesterday was very windy. It blew one of my potted roses over for a second time and this time a large piece broke off the pot. I’ve cobbled it together as best I can until I can get a new pot. On my way back from the gym yesterday morning I called into mountain warehouse to buy a new backpack and also bought - a dress! I never wear dresses so what on earth possessed me? It’s a nice fit and, more importantly, a good length. I hate anything too long. Will I actually wear it? Who knows, but I like it.
The goldfinches are back munching the spent seed heads on my cornflowers. One of the highlights of summer for me.
Chiropodist coming this morning and then the afternoon will be weather dependent.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good Morning from Durham. After a few spots of overnight rain, it’s a glorious start to the day. A bit breezy, with wall to wall sunshine.
I didn’t feel myself yesterday - words of an old song upset me and I couldn’t shake it off. DD1 and family called in, but I really wasn’t in the mood for company.
Started a T-shirt cull - little and often is the way forward.
Today my friend is having her second cataract procedure, so I’ll drop her off and nip along to MetroCentre until she rings to be picked up. After taking her home, I’ll stock up at Tesco - my fridge is devoid of anything fresh!
Shocking news from Liverpool.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, soggy corner of Somerset

We’re not that for from grandmattie yet seem to get much more rain and far too many very strong winds courtesy of the coast. I’m sorry for the flowering plants, they had a major battering yesterday by the look of them. More hand envy here bellasnana. That’s a shame ash, maybe next time.

After an excellent day with family we were unaware of the horrific events in Liverpool until we got home late evening.

A routine one ahead for us, grocery delivery, dust removal and we really must finalise our home insurance.

Have the best day you can everyone.

cornergran Tue 27-May-25 06:58:24

Hope today is better georgesgran.

Good morning all from a, currently, dry North Leicestershire.

DH is off doing a volunteer drive at 7.30. I have choir at 11.00 and then a bit of shopping at M&S.

Lovely day at DD1''s - 17 of our family in one place. I was a very happy Ma.
Have the best day possible everyone.

monk08 Tue 27-May-25 06:59:19

Good morning all from dry at the moment but not for long Black country.
Today we have the boys shall see what they want to do once we pick them up, we are at theirs later for dinner.
Another one here with hand envy.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from s somerset, cool, windy, dull, rainy all day

Yesterday first task, I finished a top, I will put a photo up, it has a nice lined yoke at the back. Good quality fabric and much brighter than in the photo. Viscose crepe. My second make from that pattern as I was very happy with the toile, a lovely fit which I wear. Cost for that top was a bargain £5.60, online sale

I cycled to the plot and picked a portion of plump sweet strawberries. After lunch I made a different top, anther tried and tested pattern and cut out a third and final top plus some undies from the leftover fabric, cotton jersey this time

Today I will quickly sew top three and then clean my machines and sewing room, followed by sorting out patterns and tracing some to take up a smaller amount of space. The A4 printing and sticking method takes up much more room than patterntrace

Lovely nail photo Bellasnana

Have a good day

Morning all from S E Essex, the weather is forecast to be changeable

I have The Imp and 10 yr old, I think we will go to the indoor trampoline park, fun for them, noisy for me 😹

Lovely nails Bellasnaana pretty colour.

Thinking of Liverpool this morning, what a dreadful event to recover from 💔

Susan56 Tue 27-May-25 07:08:35

Good morning from Shropshire.Heavy rain overnight but sunny at the moment.

My brother and nephew were very near the incident in Liverpool yesterday.I messaged him and thankfully he replied straight away. They were unable to get home to Lancashire so my nephews girlfriend was going to drive down to collect them and they were going to walk out the city to meet her.My thoughts and prayers are with the injured 🙏🏻

I remember as a child going to watch the victory parades quite often as LFC were very successful at that time.It was always such a joyous occasion.Devastated that this happened.

Today we have food shopping to do ready for the arrival of DD2 and family who will be coming here tomorrow on their way home from the Llyn Peninsula.

I love your nails Bellasnana.Sorry you didn’t get the part Ash but hopefully you will get the next one🤞🏻

Georgesgran💐

Wishing everyone a good day🦩🌻

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve blue sky and sunshine, hoping it stays dry today.
Gorgeous summery nails Bellas
Georgesgran hoping you feel a bit better today 💐
I’ve a volunteering session this morning and then if it’s dry I’ll probably be out in the garden this afternoon
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny at the moment, but had some rain overnight and more forecast for today. I went for a walk yesterday morning, then changed the compost in the trough and planted my dwarf bean plants in it. The tomato plants survived the gales but are looking a bit spindly. I’ll need to put them into bigger pots soon I cut back a forsythia which seemed to have grown into a monster overnight and was being blown about in the wind. Then packed a few things ready to go to DD1s today for two nights. They’re going to London for two days to show the granddaughters some of the sights. I’ll keep the dog company, the dog walker will take her out for a long walk both days.

bellasnana I also have hand and nail envy!
sallyforth so pleased your DGS and his friend are ok, what a dreadful thing to have happened on such a happy day for the city.

Have the best day possible everyone. Thinking of all those who are in difficulties of any kind.

GrannyIvy Tue 27-May-25 07:19:30

Good morning from the Algarve where it will be 27 degrees again today. We enjoyed a seafood buffet at the lovely restaurant where we are staying and an early night as we were all very tired.

Today we will stroll around the Marina and swim in the pool. The little one is so proud he is really coming on with his swimming each day.

The weather back home is not looking very promising so we will enjoy time in the sun whilst we can.

Wishing a good day to everyone

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 27-May-25 07:35:33

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

We had a lovely day with our granddaughter yesterday. She loves being busy.

Today we are taking her to an Italian restaurant for lunch. She loves pasta! On our return we will pot up the hanging basket and decide where to put the bee hotel we bought yesterday.

I am not sure when elder son or his partner will collect granddaughter to take her back to Kew. Probably late afternoon.

Have a good day, especially those of you with difficulties.

GrannySomerset Tue 27-May-25 07:35:38

Earlier than usual start as solar panel fitters are due at 8.00 am. Sunny at present but the forecast is not hopeful so we will see how things go. Should be a day of maximum chaos as Wonderful Cleaner will be here and my car is being collected for its bodywork repair. It definitely never rains but it pours!

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 27-May-25 07:36:56

Choosing a bee hotel.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but alas, it will not last; heavy rain is expected from late morning, so I will probably not get out for my health walk after lunch.

Got all my planned tasks done yesterday: cleaned the bathroom including washing the floor; washed up and tidied the kitchen; damp dusted the sitting room, then hoovered downstairs. Had my lunch, then caught up with newspapers, and spent the afternoon reading my Patricia Highsmith thriller.
I made a pea and ham soup for dinner in the pressure cooker - it was delicious, and there are two portions left.

Will vacuum the sitting room furniture this morning, then take the Shark upstairs. As I'm not expecting to walk this afternoon I shall spend the time reading instead.

Lovely top karma. And beautiful nails, Bella.

Wishing all a pleasant day.
