Good morning. Dull and breezy at here in Shropshire at the moment.
We didn’t go in to Blist Hill yesterday as it started to pour just as we arrived. Of course 5 minutes after we left the rain stopped.
We went to Ironbridge and a couple of other villages.
So, today we wil try again.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning all and yes indeed it’s a grey start.

Liberty I hope your journey goes well and seeing your sister isn’t too difficult. She will be so pleased to see you. 💐.

Today Dh is going for breakfast with his two old school pals. One,who is fit, and the other who has advanced Parkinsons. I hope they can all cope with each other.🤞

I will go to DD’s and see how things are there. She wasn’t too well yesterday.

Sorry to hear about your DD’s beautiful horse.

Hope your day goes well Marydoll 👶🏼.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.🌼🪴

A late morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It was supposed to be a quiet day yesterday but I listened to three lectures and sorted out the hanging basket for the front garden.

Today is our 49th wedding anniversary - 49 years!!!

It is my book group today at lunch time. This evening OH and I are going out for dinner.

Have a good day, especially MD and the FGT2S.

Grey and raining this morning. Was hoping for a dry morning to get the grandkids out on their bikes totting up points for Beat the Street. Need to find some indoor activities now.

Good morning from a wet NE rain was heavy overnight.
Yesterday I did nothing but read and watch TV.
While I was eating dinner I had a message from my friend to say that a mutual friend had died. He had been in hospital but was about to be discharged.
DS posted lots of photos of his holiday in Ireland, he always does lots of research so that everywhere of interest is seen.
Another day of doing nothing, can't even go for a walk as forecast is poor.
Have a good day.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where we have puddles. It must have rained a lot last night.
Today I have yoga and tonight an award ceremony to honour my dear friend who died in March. None of her family could be there so I feel privileged but sad.

Last night was the lecture organised by the Walter Scott Club and the Byron Society. I went because my guest was organising it. There was wine flowing but no food 😕

Very much the Edinburgh literatti but the photographer recognised me. I had taught his wife pottery!

I opened an official looking letter as I left my house and saw to my horror it was £100 fine for driving in a bus lane! Photos n'all 😞
It was over a week ago, in a place I didn't know. I have paid it quickly as they deliberately say it will be £50 if you pay at once and don't argue!

How sad about your DD's horse. Karma
Clever seamstresses gMattie and Karma. I made some progress with my pyjamas yesterday. They have interfacing and darts!

Thinking of you Marydoll with all your trials.

Have a great day everyone 😀

Good morning from a damp northwest coast. Yesterday morning I put my trainers and leggings on and ran/walked around the block as need more exercise. Again today.🏃🏻‍♀️New neighbours across the road have mucked up their electric gate so there is a low level hum I hear if I sit in the front garden (it’s a little terrace area and quite private).

Then to the lunchtime concert, very enjoyable. Piano and two saxophonists. TV in the evening and I’m watching Rise of a Genius, Jane Austen. Mildly interesting, but nothing new. Wish they would choose other authors, there’s enough of them…
Happy anniversary LLFL, nice photos and thoughts to all🌺

Morning, high cloud here, sun later I believe. Book club yesterday and it wasn’t just me who’d given up with the book, the next one looks slightly easier.
My ear has blocked overnight, a common occurrence, appointment made for microsuction later today.
Happy Anniversary llfl enjoy your meal out tonight.

Good morning all. It’s a very unpleasant wet and windy day in Glasgow, to last all day.

Not really a day for going out but I will be going to the bank at some point. Something I can’t do online will have to be discussed at our anything but private bank for all and sundry to hear one’s business. Late afternoon is the hairdressers hoping I find a parking space as close as possible to the salon without too much of a fight with an umbrella.

I am heartbroken for your DD Karma. What a horrible time for her. I hope too you and your DD have a better day.
I too had to tackle a pile of admin yesterday GeorgesGran. Dread doing it but it’s a good feeling knowing it’s done.
Cool trousers GM.

Hoping a good day/ better day is ahead for all.

Good morning from Shropshire.Drizzling at the moment.

We had a lovely day with DD2 and family yesterday.DGS1 seems to have grown in the fortnight since we last saw him!

I had a phone call from the home last night to say mum had had a fall and an ambulance had been called. Then a call from the paramedics and we agreed she would stay at the home as no apparent injuries and then another call from the home to check I was happy with the actions taken which I was.Hence a disturbed night so have only just woken up.Poor mum😢she will have a visit from the GP today.

Liberty, I am sorry to hear about your sister💐

Gingster I hope your DD is feeling better today🙏🏻

Marydoll, pace yourself!

Have the best day you can everyone🦩🌻

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton; the forecast is good today so one load of washing is in and another two loads waiting.
Later posting this morning as I dozed till nearly 9am!

A good book club yesterday enhanced by a delicious fresh cream Victoria sponge! When I got home I set to and cut the front grass. Then before dinner started the next book club read - it is a Detective Lynley thriller, have never read one before.

No further plans for today, except a Sainsbury's delivery this morning, then just to get the washing done. Will now go back and read everyone's news.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire. It’s been raining steadily and no sign of a break in the clouds.

It turned sunny yesterday afternoon and felt much warmer. MrB and I went for a walk down to the dock gates, fast becoming our daily walk. Although I’m doing well with the tri walker there is no prospect at the moment of being able to walk without aids or even with a stick. Although I’m limited to only walking on level ground I’m grateful to be able to get out and about a little.

Happy birthday Sallyforth, enjoy your visit to the garden centre.

What a very frustrating phone call Marydoll. Is your current PP an older man?

Happy anniversary LLFL.

Hoping for an update from FGT2 today.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

I hope today is a better day for us all ♥️

Grandmabatty Thu 29-May-25 10:09:59

Happy birthday to Sallyforth. Happy anniversary to Ladyleftfieldlover and her Mr. Grammaretto commiserations on your fine.

cornergran Thu 29-May-25 10:25:36

Happy anniversary to you both ladylfl. Birthday wishes go to sallyforth.

Oh heck grammaretto. I’m waiting for the same thing. Made a boo-boo on the way back from time with a friend last week. A new bus lane caught me by surprise. Only half the car wandered in, maybe I’ll get half a fine. It won’t happen again!

Grammaretto Thu 29-May-25 12:03:46

Happy anniversary to the Llfls ❤️
Enjoy your celebrations.

Happy birthday Sallyforth 🎂
