Awaiting the arrival of an electrician to do the last little bit of the solar panel installation - scaffolding removed yesterday as promised - and then that job is complete once payment is made. A friend coming for coffee later but nothing else scheduled so an indoor day as it is very damp out and we are promised showers every day this week.

Sorry to read about Mick and Iris and for anyone else having a difficult time. Seems even worse for a child, somehow. Not the NHS at its best.

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast.
Sorry to hear you had an unpleasant time Mick and hope you feel better as the day goes on. So disappointing for Iris too.

Nice day yesterday, enjoyed the lunchtime recital and did a bit of networking with the soloist who gave me her card. Then a good lunch of mushroom omelette and salad, which meant just a snack in the evening.
It’s my sister’s birthday in the south today and I had sent her an email gift voucher. After sending it, by coincidence, she let me know she had changed her email…

Also a friend had left a message on my mobile I hadn’t seen to arrange a lunch and symphony concert tonight. I naughtily hardly look at my mobile telephone in the house. In the end she can’t make it as finds she has a rehearsal, so I’m going anyway. Confusion confusion.

Thoughts to FGT, hope no more nosebleeds for karma and good news from Taichinan🌺

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is a wet dull morning. I am off to Pilates this morning and then hoping I can get out in the garden this afternoon.

Rest up Mick these procedures are not pleasant and you need to take it easy. How awful for Iris GM I do hope her op can be rescheduled very soon. My DD2 does some “bank” work for the hospital she works in and all her extra bank hours were cut in April to save money but she heard yesterday they need to reinstate her hours in order to address the backlog that has accumulated!!

Take care everyone and have a good day

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's bright but not warm.
I'm going on the U3A walk today along the coast near N Berwick.

Yesterday was dealing with admin which took hours.

Poor little Iris. I hope she is OK.
Take it easy Mick.

I had lunch with a beekeeping friend yesterday who says it's been a really good year for them despite the lack of rain. LLFL

That's some progress for you Marydoll. Let's hope the dental hospital come good. 🤞 🙏

Wishing everyone a happy day.

Good morning from dry and bright South Lanarkshire.

Have a quiet day today Mick, rest is the quickest way to recover.

Such a disappointment for Iris gMattie, I’m sorry.

I had a fairly busy day yesterday doing proper cleaning as opposed to just wafting around with a duster, then made king prawn risotto for dinner. I’m having a quieter day today since tomorrow we’ll be childminding again.

Wishing everyone the best day possible especially those feeling under par for whatever reason.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

Sorry you’ve had a bad night Mick, hope everything settles down soon.

How disappointing for Iris and family GrandMattie. Hope it can go ahead soon.

Yesterday we had one fierce and sudden shower of rain. The afternoon was sunny and warm but the gusty wind made it feel quite cold in less sheltered places. We took our usual walk down to the river.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

Wishing us all a happy Thursday 🌹

Good morning from N Bucks where it is cool, damp and overcast.
Got one Chorizo and Manchego quiche ready for the oven for this afternoons trip to London. I am also doing tiny caramelised onion and goats cheese tartlets (Delia) and some good old fashioned sausage rolls. There are wonderful smells emanating from the kitchen - I just have to keep Rosie out 😈
I seem to have been organised into a holiday in the South of France in August. Ds2 and 3 and their families are taking a house between Bordeaux and Toulouse near Agen and as it’s rather bigger than they need they have asked me to join them. I will be travelling with “the Aunties” DH’s intrepid sisters who came to Amsterdam for D’s opera, and we hope to do it by Eurostar and TGV
I had had no plans so this is a bit of a surprise!
Special thoughts to FGT2 and her DH today at their hospital appointment and commiserations to Iris - to be psyched up for an op and have it cancelled is the limit of frustration.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

“*Susan 56* to help you recover from the procedure.”

So sorry: I was a bit preoccupied earlier - that should have said Sallyforth.
Senior moment!! 🙄
