Good Morning Everyone ,
Its a light and dry start here in brackley this morning.
I spent the day in yesterday , having had the after effects of the CT scan , with Diahorrea.
I will do my usual routine today with a bus trip to Bicester ,and chat to those I know.
Health wise OK,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, it’s dull, cool and damp here in south Glos, disappointing weather for June.
Not a lot happening here; usual dog walking which I always enjoy, art group yesterday and a different art group this morning.
We had torrential rain yesterday several times, it’s really battered my garden so I will be outside trying to sort it out later. No signs of it getting much warmer either ☹️
Housework and ironing at some point today.
Take care everyone 🌹

baubles Fri 06-Jun-25 05:29:57

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry and the sky is streaked with pink.

Glad you’re feeling better today Mick.

DH has brought my coffee ridiculously early, we don’t leave for over an hour.
Childminding today includes me going to the school summer fair where the children will no doubt want to buy all sorts of useless stuff, much the same as my own children many years ago.

I must ring the hospital as I had a telephone appointment yesterday with my haematologist but there was no call which hasn’t happened before.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Greyduster Fri 06-Jun-25 05:35:43

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Looks like we’re in for a showery morning in South Yorkshire but drier this afternoon. Good that you seem to be feeling better, Mick, but don’t overdo it.
I had an “in” day yesterday due to the wet weather but the house is cleaner for it, and I made a cake.
School volunteering this afternoon and then as GS has the last of his A level exams today, we are having a “winding down” dinner in a very good Indian restaurant this evening. He’s worked hard; now he can relax.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Ashcombe Fri 06-Jun-25 05:43:51

Good morning from a chilly Torbay where we have quite a strong breeze blowing.

Quite a busy day yesterday with physio and dental hygienist appointments besides some bits of shopping (and a cheeky coffee and cheese scone in Dunelm's café!) so I was ready to hit the hay early last night.

Lidl is the plan for this morning before it’s too busy. It’s still a source of delight that I can manage these tasks again as, not many months ago, I felt too weak to manage shopping on my own.

Have a good day, whatever you have planned. 🦩💐🦩💐🦩

Bellasnana Fri 06-Jun-25 05:47:33

Good morning from Malta where a sunny day is forecast with a high of 34°C and a low of 21°C.

Had a lovely time with the boys yesterday. Took them to the big park where there is a lot of shade from the trees, much needed now the hot days are here.

As usual they had fun, met one of their little friends from nursery and shared their fruit and ride-on cars with him. This is an achievement as sharing has been a bit of an issue especially with DGS2!

Today I’m looking after them again. They will have to come with me for my hair appointment which my hairdresser made at noon by mistake.

After they go to nursery I shall hot-foot it home to watch the first of the men’s semifinal matches from Roland Garros.

I’m babysitting again this evening so hope I will be allowed to watch the second semifinal!

I had better get my skates on as I’m still drinking coffee and need to clean the yard before I go.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Grammaretto Fri 06-Jun-25 05:53:53

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I forgot to pull the blinds last night so have been awake since about 3.30am with the light!

Glad you are better today Mick.
Have fun at the school fair Baubles

I had a recall from the doctor after my blood test on Monday. Cholesterol levels too high.
🫢😒

A good 6 mile walk along the coast yesterday at North Berwick. I had forgotten my poles but managed without.

My usual shift in the store/café this morning.

Hope everyone has some joy today.

Kalu Fri 06-Jun-25 06:11:51

Good morning all. Sunny at the moment in Glasgow and much better prospects for a weather wise, pleasant day.

A visit to the bank, admin and phone calls to make then the day is my own to do, preferably, as I please, potter around in the garden.

I have a hankering now to visit North Berwick again Grammaretto. Good luck in successfully lowering your cholesterol. 🤞

Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning from s somerset, cool and dry today

I picked gooseberries yesterday and noticed the sudden growth around me, the apple trees in particular, I stood in the light rain and summer pruned two trees, much better now, more space between them. Later I chopped all the cut-off branches, as they make much needed brown compost. Some for my hotbins here and the rest went to my allotment, into one of my bins.

I walked around the plot and it is true, whatever weeding is done by june does make for an easier summer, hardly any more weeds had popped up. I am hoping the worst ones have given up. I arrived back home and made two more pairs of pretty knickers, this time from a top I had made and did not like

Organic delivery comes in 2 hours and soon after the creamy yoghurt is ready and will need to be put into sterilised glass jars for the week, only then will I have my breakfast as I am having two meals a day with a fruit and a bit of dark chocolate in between. Followed by a town walk

I am into my spinning again, while watching Howards way on youtube. I will soon finish the `fluff` I am spinning now. It can rest a week or so and then I will make 3 ply, which is a stable yarn, less likely to pil. Destined for at least one jumper

I will be dead-heading roses today and I saw a little bit of bare earth, I can put a small butternut squash plant into that. I also need to tie tomato plants to stakes. Must remember to top and tail the gooseberries I picked yesterday

Have a good day

Today a day at home until school pick up.The children are here for their Friday night sleepover.

Glad you are feeling better Mick.Take it easy.

Thinking of all with mountains to climb.

A late (for me) good morning from a great Bristol.
It drizzled most of yesterday, a good penetrating rain, but not enough to clear the gutters which are disgusting, particularly around a beautiful cedar. It drops its needles in spring, also the squirrels demolish all the cones for the pine nuts. This makes a terrible mess.
I’m off to the GP again this morning; this time for a close up photo of the erosions on my face, then sent to the dermatologist for a final diagnosis. So no Spanish.
After that, I’m going into town to get a few things, including b/w fabric to make my DGS another quilt. Apparently, he only uses the one I made in lockdown. It must need a good wash… I’ll probably lunch at the little hidden cafe.
All the best to everyone. Ash, it must be great to recover confidence and equilibrium, well done.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Grandmabatty Fri 06-Jun-25 06:43:20

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and sunny. Susan I'm glad the funeral went well, if you see what I mean. Bellasnana a busy day ahead for you. Ash it's good to hear that you are so much more confident in getting about.
Yesterday I pottered about in the morning, hoovering and tidying up. In the afternoon I worked in the school library for a while. I felt grumpy in the afternoon which is not like me so I watched some tv and read.
Today I'll do an Aldi shop and nip to town. I have stuff to hand in to the lawyer regarding mum's bank account. I'll get washing done too because tomorrow's forecast isn't great. The weeds in the garden are annoying me. I haven't been able to deal with them because I wasn't allowed to bend. I'll try and get some weeding done today. I fancy steak for dinner tonight. Have a good day all.

GrannyIvy Fri 06-Jun-25 06:47:05

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. Everyone seems very busy this morning. I think I am still in holiday mode I seem to be drifting and not really achieving anything. Today I plan to do a walk, more washing and ironing. I have lots of admin bits to catch up on. The garden needs attention. Hoping I will be more productive today! There is always tomorrow 😂

Have a good day everyone

Sallyforth Fri 06-Jun-25 06:53:10

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rainy morning in Cheshire. When I fist woke up I thought it was deluging down. It was raining but it was my tinnitus drumming up a rain storm! I can take my tablet soon and it will calm down.

Sorry, I hadn't realised you had the tests yesterday Mick when I was advising you to eat something. Glad you're feeling better today.

I cut my peonies yesterday and brought them in out of the rain, so I'm sharing as a bouquet to all this morning. Have the best day possible.

cornergran Fri 06-Jun-25 06:57:13

Morning Mick, morning All from a brighter corner of Somerset.

We both enjoyed our shopping mall trip yesterday, birthday bits gathered there was much strolling and even more sitting with coffee and later a snack lunch. Several messages from and to our goddaughter who is upset at the death of a family member and wondering how to explain to her mum. Another one of those I wish we were geographically closer moments

A British Gas ‘problem solver’ should call this morning. There will be strong words as I really am out of patience after 14 months. The day gets better then. A fish and chip lunch booked in our favourite little garden centre before heading further afield to return Mr C’s faulty fleece to yet another garden centre. I’m not sure how that will go, it allegedly has a guarantee but you can never tell. We’ll enjoy the trip out anyway. I’m sure I’ll speak to our goddaughter at some stage.

Good to hear you feel better today mick. Go gently though.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Marydoll Fri 06-Jun-25 06:57:25

Good morning all from Glasgow where it is 6°C.

Perhaps it would be better to stay in today Mick,to give your stomach chance to settle.

Yesterday was full on again and pretty exhausting. Babydoll is going through the terrible twos and had a full blown tantrum yesterday.
On the way back from Braehead (another shopping mall DH hates,) she managed to get her arms out of the car seat and was trying to release the buckle.
Fortunately, knowing she cannot be trusted, I have started sitting into the back seat.
When we got home, she lay down in the drive and had a meltdown, because she did not win the battle of wills with me.
Two minutes later, she looked at us and said, Sorry Gaga and Papa
We realised later, she had a back tooth half way too and a very sore bottom. No wonder, she was so cross.

I had suggested Braehead, because it was so wet outside and I needed an A3 laminator to make fête posters.
After an initial rolling of the eyes, five minutes later, DH suggested we go to Braehead, as if this was the first time it had been mentioned.
Because I am struggling to eat, I have been living on a certain type of yoghurt, but they have been unavailable in any of the supermarkets.
After getting the laminator, from Argos, within Sainsbury's I went looking for the yoghurt. Result, I practically cleared the shelf of raspberry ones!
It is the simple things in life, which count. 😉

Dollie will be here at 7am, as papa will be doing the school run. On the phone last night, to tell me about her disastrous sports day, she asked for pancakes for breakfast, so I need to get started.

Today will be busy again, all the prep for the fête will be done. I also need too print a new 100 square. I had an altercation with a roll of double sided tape and my dining room table, when trying to back the number square.
The tape won! 🤬
I long for a day of doing nothing!
I wish you all a pleasant day, take care.

Sar53 Fri 06-Jun-25 07:05:14

Good morning from Leamington. More rain is forecast, we had a lot yesterday.
DD1 is invigilating this morning and S has her last English exam. Only 6 more exams to go, she appears to be coping OK.
Apart from SIL who works from home, in his office, I shall be home alone this morning. I did a pile of ironing yesterday but I'm sure there is more that needs doing.
Have a pleasant day everyone, best wishes to all xx

brook2704 Fri 06-Jun-25 07:18:20

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s dry and bright but feels very chilly for this time of year
I’m off to DD2s first thing to help with a bit of tidying up whilst she’s busy working 🙄 After that a trip to the garden centre with DH, a few of the pots at the front of the house are now past their best so I’ll get a few new plants to re fresh them.
It must be such a sense of relief for your DGS greyduster, enjoy your dinner out this evening
Good luck to all the DGC going through exams at the moment, hoping they all manage ok
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Redcar Fri 06-Jun-25 07:35:21

Good morning from mid Essex where it’s brighter this morning. A lot of rain yesterday and strong winds, so the garden has taken a battering. I’ll try to sort it out a bit today, I need to stake the tomato plants which are growing very slowly. I was quite stressed yesterday as I’d lost my email on the iPad and didn’t know how to get it back. Fortunately my son in law called in to sort it out and all is well now. I was also trying to deal with a confusing letter from an insurance company about a claim I had made. Eventually managed to sort that out too.
Hopefully today will be calmer, nothing much planned for the day.
sar I hope that S stays well enough to take all her exams without further hospital visits and greyduster I hope your grandson’s exam goes well and that this evening’s meal is enjoyable.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Gingster Fri 06-Jun-25 07:42:41

Good morning all and it’s a not sure weatherwise day.
Yesterday Dd turned up on my doorstep looking like a drowned rat, after dropping DGD to school. She had a coffee and I run her home.

Dh has now been discharged from the stroke team and they are all pleased with his progress. We must make sure all their hard work and results continue with him doing regular excercises.
He’s so difficult to motivate! 😤.
We might go to meet our Friday pals today with dh driving. We’ll see how he feels.

Tomorow we are going to our seaside abode 🥳. DS1 is driving us and ds2 will meet us there. We’ll all stay for just the weekend . It will be so good to see how things are, what needs doing and get some sea air. I’ve missed it so much.
I asked our neighbours cleaning lady to give us a ‘one off’ and also the local handyman to mow and strim the lawns, so it will be nice and tidy for us to arrive.

We have a gd who is ploughing through the GCSE exams. They seem to go on for ever. I hope they all do well and enjoy the summer break.

Hoping you all have a good day. 🪴🌼

luluaugust Fri 06-Jun-25 07:47:22

Good morning from a bright W Kent. Shopping for me this morning and my little deaf group this afternoon.
One of the DGDs finishes A levels today the other finishes next week.
Best wishes

BlueSapphire Fri 06-Jun-25 07:50:05

Good morning everyone from a showery Northampton, but looks dry this afternoon, so will put my shopping trip off till after lunch. So I might wash the kitchen floor this morning.... or I might not... I'll see how I feel. I might just read instead.

Rained on and off all day yesterday but I didn't get too wet getting to the.surgery and back. I got the early bus, took my time walking the rest of the way and still arrived 20 minutes early. Sat and read till I was called in, with the result that I was well rested, and the nurse was really pleased with my blood pressure, 120/70. No problems either getting blood out of my arm. I then had a 10 minute walk into the village and went to the bakery for coffee.

Was so cold when I got home I put the heating on! Did a bit of pottering, then spent the afternoon reading.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 06-Jun-25 08:03:34

Morning all from a damp looking West Oxfordshire.

I popped into a nearby town yesterday (which has free parking!) and bought a couple of pairs of sandals. One pairs will be delivered today as they didn’t have the colour I wanted in the shop.

It is the monthly WI coffee morning. They are usually a hoot. One of our members is 100 next year and is amazing.

Tonight OH is taking the swarm of bees which he captured the other day to a friend. He has to wait until they are more or less settled for the night in the hive, block the entrance and bundle them into his car. Rather him than me!

What on earth is going on in the USA?!🙄

Have a good day.

harrigran Fri 06-Jun-25 08:05:17

Good morning from a grey NE.
Yesterday the weather was more like April with heavy showers.
Late afternoon my neighbour came and we had a chat, she leaves the house every day so gets to see more people than I do.
I got an update on the health of my neighbours who are all roughly the same age as me.
I have nothing planned for today so will do some housework.
Have a good day everyone.

Georgesgran Fri 06-Jun-25 08:21:18

Good Morning from a soggy. grey Durham. Another here who has been awake since before dawn.
I’m taking DD2’s Little Dog home today, along with a mountain of clean laundry, before meeting her for our nail appointments. I’d like to have a wander in Newcastle later, but not sure I can summon the energy - I was really looking forward to it.
Do take it easy after your procedure yesterday Mick - I’d give today’s outing a miss - Bicester will still be there on Monday.

Best wishes to all, X
