Good morning all and it’s overcast here in Essex.
It says no rain for us here but we had plenty in the night. A few crashes of thunder too.

Yesterday we met our Friday friends with dh driving us there and back. His confidence has returned and he felt fine.
I’m struggling to get him to keep his excercises up, which is a shame as he’s done so well up to now.

Not sure what’s happening today . I’ll do a big shop as I’ve only been getting things we need daily this week.

We’re enjoying the tennis and golf so we’ll watch that this afternoon.

Take care 🌼

Good morning all from Glasgow, where we have a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms

Mick, probably advisable to stay at home and rest. It is not unexpected after your recent procedure.

I am glad to hear Iris is home and your op went well, Grandmabatty.

Relief and joy for you, GM to have your son home

It is interesting to hear of all your activities and busy lives. I enjoy reading about them.

After having been touch with the dental hospital, due to the ery long waiting lists, I have been advised to ask my dentist to resubmit an urgent referral, (which has been done) and explain that I have now had a cancer diagnosis and all my RA meds have been stopped. until I am seen.

R.A. is such a cruel disease and without any medication to dampen it down, life is like climbing Mount Everist with an elephant on your back and having pain and exhaustion, permeating your whole body
I never had much faith in the biologics, but have now realised how effective they were. 😪

Yesterday, we had a flooded utility room, (*Mr MD* ^hadn't noticed^) so everything has to be put back under the sink this morning.
DH eventually sorted it (under my tutelage) , but somehow managed to stop the washing machine working. SIGH. 😌
I will have to return the junk cleaning stuff etc, to its rightful place. That is not in a DH's plumber's job description.

Today, I plan to try and work out to extract a still photo of the fête, from a video, to upload to our website. Every day is still a school day.
I do love a challenge, but am suffering dreadful brain fog, another symptom of R.A.

I am ashamed to say, although I love my family dearly, I hope none of the family visit today. I am reluctant to engage with anyone at the moment, it is too much of an effort and I just need some me time.

Wishing you all, a pleasant day and a belated happy birthday to Merlot Gran.

Good morning from an overcast NE. Forecast is for rain until late afternoon.
Yesterday was a sunny day so I sat in the garden and did crosswords, if I read a novel I tend to fall asleep.
My neighbour has gone off to the outer Hebrides for three weeks so I will be keeping an eye on her house.
No visitors this weekend, not sure what I will do.
Have a good weekend.

We have avoided the threatened thunder storms so far but the sky looks leaden this morning so maybe today will be different. Nothing planned today apart from keeping an eye on Trooping the Colour this morning while doing some overdue filing and paper wrangling - I think it breeds while I am not watching it.

Good to hear of post-op recovery and planned activity.

Good Morning from Durham. The overnight thunderstorms failed to appear, but it’s heavily overcast and cool now.
The burglar alarm was serviced yesterday, then went off while I was out paying the bill! I’ll see how it goes today, as I’m taking DGS1 to see How to Train your Dragon - reviews say it’s dire. I’ll walk Little Dog later.
DD2’s flight was delayed an hour, but they landed safely in Majorca and just fell into bed. DGS2 was exhausted.

💐Liberty
Wise to stay indoors Mick did you get your scan results? Hope both Batty and Iris are recovering - pleased to be home.
Think Marydoll must be unwell, just hope she’s resting.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning from high cloud in S Hants, not even a rumble of storms overnight, just a very loud, low plane at 3 something.
Good news from you both gMattie and Grandmabatty, not so Grammaretto not what you need.
Sorting out clothes in our bedroom yesterday I noticed a large hornet on the floor, I swiftly covered it in a t shirt, it wouldn’t shake off out of the window, so the whole thing went out. It wasn’t an Asian one, no need to report it. Paper today, a walk early on then weeding, never ending.
Hoping the FGT’s are ok 👋

Good morning, everyone from a sunny south coast but wind is forecasted for later. The gf sourdough bread (second attempt) turned out well which is a relief because the ingredients are not cheap. It’s very tasty but is now sliced and in the freezer!
I will also watch Trooping the Colour this morning. I always enjoy it but although I agree with having a slimmed down monarchy I do miss seeing the overloaded balcony at the end and spotting any not so well known family members and children.
Hope everyone has the day they wish for with rest if needed.

Good morning Mick and everyone from Cheshire where the sun is now breaking through. The trees are absolutely still after a very windy and rainy night. I walked into the kitchen earlier to find a squirrel eating the flowers in a hanging basket. His/her mate was sitting on the wall calmly eating my rosebuds. They heard me knock on the window, but didn't move till I stepped outside.

My Dd woke me up putting together a flat pack cupboard I'd ordered. I'm not ungrateful, but at 5.30? Really? Just hold up this door Mum. Really? She's just like her father was. Something needs doing and you get it done! It looks good and I'm very pleased with it. Now I have to clear out another cupboard to free up some space, as it was too cluttered to find anything.

She's here because today, as I mentioned yesterday, there is a meal for friends and relatives who couldn't make it to my sister's funeral in April. I shall put on my new dress and bravest face and go. My BiL needs support as he's in deep shock poor man, as her death was so unexpected.

Enjoy your day. Special thoughts for the sad and lonely. flowers

Liberty my sincere condolences on the death of your dear sister. They are so close to our hearts, it grieves us so much when they leave us. However, their pain is also gone. Enjoy the beauty of the Lake District. flowers

Good morning everyone from rainy Lancashire.

Yesterday morning we went for our usual walk down to the dock gates. The boatyard was busy with people getting boats ready for the summer season. A new boat arrived yesterday and the crane is in place for a launch. This morning isn’t looking too promising, it rained heavily overnight and the skies are full of dark clouds. Never mind, I’ll watch the Trooping of the Colour. I love seeing the horses especially.

Hope you’re feeling better today Mick.

Great that Iris is home and you will see your son soon grandMattie.

Glad the op went well GrandmaBatty.

Love the pattern Karma, very versatile.

Enjoy the show latedecember, I hope you manage to snag some goodies.

Very worrying Grammaretto, glad your helper dealt with the situation.

Hope you have a peaceful day Marydoll.

So sorry for the loss of your sister* Liberty* flowers.

As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort and relief.

Have the best day you can, happy Saturday 🌹

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Lovely day in Cheshire yesterday with old pianist friend. An excellent pub lunch, good walk and a drive around my old haunts where I had a little caravan in a field. It’s now full of smart static homes, but I do miss the beautiful area.
Quiet day today, bed linen drying outside and will please myself, as I do most days.

Hope you improve Mick, good news Grandmabatty, thoughts to GM and Liberty💐

I’m thinking of the FGT2S too.

Good morning from the midlands where it’s sunny and blowy.

I too hope we don’t have visitors as I feel so down in the dumps. Must find something to do. Black dog days are rubbish.

liberty so sorry to hear about your sister, please accept my sympathies.

Good morning, Michael12 and all on here!

It absolutely POURED down last night! I loved every second of it! I had all the widows open and the sound of the rain was magnificent too! This was about 1:10am!

I had another ghostly encounter in my house last night when I crashed out of bed about 1:10am to put the kettle on for a hot water bottle.

The entire thing only lasted about 3 seconds and I wasn't sleep walking or anything, I was awake. I went to the kitchen to put the kettle on for a hot water bottle and put the light on and from the left side where the door is to the right over the kitchen window I saw what I could only describe as a flying shadow and I got a strong impression someone was in the room with me and standing close!

I wasn't scared, just utterly fascinated! I've had several ghostly experiences in my house since I moved in at 2017. Sometimes I get ''groups'' of them ... 3 or 4 in a month or so then nothing for a few weeks or months. I've never had any frightening experiences except for once in the early hours some time ago when I could swear someone was walking up the stairs even though there was no physical body there, admittedly that made my flesh crawl but other than that I'm quite happy with my ghostly friends!

Have a good one all of you!
