Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Off soon after my yoghurt, to Berkshire, joining my DD there for a few days before our trip abroad. I’ll see my London sister too, she’s great fun and I love seeing her.

Glad Iris is improving, sorry you are still having problems Mick, thinking of the FGTs, you are very handy karma! and thoughts to all🌺

P.S. I love this weather!

Good morning everyone from Inverness, very warm and sunny with a forecast of 25° today
Safe travels Ash enjoy the dance show and the family visit
Nothing much planned for today, I think we’ll go for a walk by the river and maybe sit outside in one of the riverside cafes enjoying coffee and the view. There’s a lunchtime dance class at the gym that I might go to first, it’s in an air conditioned studio so should be ok.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from hot Wiltshire. A little overcast atm. My air cooler in the bedroom is showing 28°c.

Tomorrow we are going to Weymouth till Monday for a weekend break with DD2 and family. I’m looking forward to playing on the beach with the GCs. We’ve got a cottage very close to the harbour. I’ve never been to Weymouth before. We’ve booked dinner in a large eatery on the harbour. This is more because there is a large children’s menu than what I might have chosen for ourselves.

I’m so sorry you’ve been so unwell Marydoll. I wish you the best recovery from all your ailments. Missing posts from FGTs. I hope all is well with them.

Wishing you all a good Friday.

Good morning all, from a sunny Glasgow.

I'm relieved to waken up and find that I am still here! Early Monday morning, I was sure my time had come. 😉
I still feel unwell, but it is relative and bearable. My mouth is still painful and I am lighter than I was thirty years ago, which is concerning.

I have absolutely nothing to report, life has been on hold this week, which is so frustrating, Every moment is precious and I do not want to waste it. I seem to have slept the week away! I miss my girls, Dollie, Babydoll and DD., who is holidaying in a spa, somewhere in the Highlands.
She said that, as a townie, I would hate it.🤣

My poor garden has been sadly neglected, Mr MD has kept it well watered, but he doesn't know the difference between a weed and an exotic bloom.😉 I am going to be busy.
Anyway, he has been too busy looking after me --and dealing with a washing machine, which has been misbehaving and our usual engineer is on holiday in his remote cottage in the Western Isles!! How dare he!!!
Thank goodness, I keep old towels in the garage to mop up.--
DH has been trying his best, but sometimes has been very trying indeed. 💕 My fault, not his.😉

Sending best wishes to all the poorlies and Mick, I think a greasy lunch is the last thing you need. A light diet is what you should be having.
GM, you sound so much brighter. 💐
Enjoy your day folks and all your business. X

Good Morning from Durham. We are forecast 29 today, but with cloud.
Hair cut yesterday at my new salon - cheap (er) and nearby.
DD2 on holiday in Majorca has booked us a holiday - I thought Barcelona, but it seems we are off to New York late next month. Her 41st visit, my 7th, we love it.
Today, I’m meeting a friend for coffee then awaiting instructions from DD1 on a possible after school outing with her and DGS1 to The Hoppings - the biggest travelling fair in Europe, which takes up a fortnight’s residence just outside Newcastle. We’ll definitely go at some point - just the right weather for it too.
A dog walk later, when it’s cooler.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning everyone from a slightly cloudy south coast. I slept past my usual 7am probably because I had a restless night due to the sticky heat. My bedroom tower fan has started rattling so I switched it off ☹️
Housework today as I have a full on day tomorrow which may involve people popping in.
Hope you all have a good day.

Grandmabatty Fri 20-Jun-25 08:17:41

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 16° and bright. GrandMattie good for Iris! Ashcombe enjoy being a proud grandma at your dgds dance display.
Yesterday was very peaceful. I scrubbed the bird bath and hung out a wash with the aid of my trusty grabber. Then Tesco delivered so a full fridge. I released funds from an account and will use it to buy new furniture and get some work done on house as well as some for my holiday. The afternoon was spent reading. I made beef olives in onion gravy for dinner and have enough for tonight. Dsil came to put out my heavy bin.
I had a disturbed night and was having a cuppa at one o'clock again hence a later start. I'm going to strip the bed and hang out the whites. However I will be protecting my eyes again. So an indoor day for me. The fan is already on. Have a good day all

Good morning!
It’s already 21° here and I’m tired already.,
Both yesterday and this morning I have already done two dog walks by 6.30 and it was so muggy.
I’m halfway through the housework, third lot of washing underway, just the kitchen to do.
I have to admit that yesterday I did almost nothing, it was lovely sitting in front of a fan, both dogs snoozed all day but alternating between being in front of the fan or baking out on the patio, silly creatures!
I bathed tiddler yesterday evening, she insists on rolling in anything vaguely disgusting 🤢, but luckily doesn’t object too much to being plonked in the bath regularly 😊
Bigger dog rarely deigns to get dirty or muddy or wet luckily, I’d never be able to heave her into the bath!
Once I’ve done everything I will do some more drawing, very relaxing and enjoyable.
Take care everyone in this weather 🌹

Thank you, MD. I have been feeling extremely low recently, it’s absolutely horrible, but am picking up…

Good morning everyone from another bright and very sunny 🌞 🌞 Northampton day. Did not go out at all yesterday except to get the bins in. Was quite cool indoors till late afternoon, but then my sitting room gets all the late afternoon and evening sunshine at the front, and the temperature shot up. I found that the fan afforded me some blessed relief. I started a new book and read for a good couple of hours.
My bedroom was quite cool as it is at the.back of the house and I have the window and the en-suite window wide open all evening to enable a lovely through breeze.

Dance classes this morning then home to collapse again! Have got my overnight oats out of the fridge for breakfast, which I hope will give me some energy for the classes! And am also defrosting a keema curry for tonight's dinner; no need to cook rice as I made a double portion yesterday.

Glad that Marydoll is feeling better!

Take it easy in the sun everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday was very hot here. We took our regular walk down to the dock gates. There were a lot of ducklings in the dock basin. One of the drakes was being very protective as there was a hungry heron lurking.

Virtual hugs to all of our Covid warriors.

As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort and relief.

Have the best day you can 🌹

Jaxjacky Fri 20-Jun-25 09:16:52

Morning, 22 in S Hants, I’ve just watered the greenhouse, not a lot to report, yesterday MrJ was out and about for me to the library and butcher. Covid cough returned overnight, but isn’t too bad, bbq this evening, although the daytime heat is a lot, sitting out about 8pm is lovely.
Well done Iris. Happy travels for those going away.

Good morning from sunny South Lanarkshire. Granddog Sadie is with me and looking sad after her family departed yesterday. We are about to depart for a good walk before I have to leave her for a hospital appointment.

Glad you’re starting to feel better grandMattie, feeling down is horrible when it lasts. Iris is doing well, you must be proud of her. Nice to have your family around you just now.

Hope you continue to improve too Marydoll and that we Scots can continue to benefit from vitamin D sunshine that we so rarely get!

Wishing everyone a good day, I remember everyone with all our troubles.

Good morning everyone from hazy Anglesey.
Yesterday we picked up DS in Runcorn at 5pm and had a good journey until we were caught in the A55 delays due to the tunnel fire. We've been coming to Anglesey for over 30 years and it's the 1st time we've had delays due to an incident such as this so we've been lucky.

It was gridlock for ages, Pantglas2, but we got a fabulous view of Conwy Castle as we crawled past.
Eventually arrived at the caravan just after 11pm.
DH has dropped DS at the Snowden meet point. Hopefully those travelling from Manchester this morning will have allowed extra journey time as he did message on the group whatsapp to give them the heads up.

Sending good wishes for your nephew's recovery, Ginny. No matter how old the youngsters in our life are, we never stop being concerned for their welfare.

Wishing everyone a good day. Take care. 🌻

Morning all from sunny Kent. Welcome back Marydoll you were sorely missed. I did take the liberty of writing a novella yesterday in your absence. Wednesday was quite a day!
I have been keeping a low profile as my health is an issue too. We haven’t got the steroids right yet for the polymyalgia rheumatica and because I was out and about all day Wednesday, yesterday was awful with my vestibular issue. I felt ‘drunk’ most of the day so couldn’t do much. I am also having counselling sessions for the mega depression that hit in January and has taken all this time to get appointments! I’m not as bad as then but the sessions are bringing up a lot of unresolved trauma which I purposely neglected over the years. I think that’s contributing to my physical ailments.
I try to put on the ‘plastic’ smile but some days are more difficult than others.
I do like reading everyone’s news - don’t always post but do lurk every day. I don’t want to miss Marydoll’s updates.
Have a good day all!
