TV remote control missing

The fridge!

Ours has been known to disappear, hidden in the newspapers, into the recycling.

Our son’s first house was an old cottage. Part of a Coaching Inn. He regularly lost the remote control and had to buy new ones. Eventually he moved to a modern house. One day while shopping he met the man who bought the cottage and asked him how he was settling in. The chap replied that they were very pleased except that the remote control for the tv disappeared more than once.
There are more things going on than we realise sometimes.

Down the side of one of the chairs; in your knitting bag; tucked in the folds of the curtains, especially if they're full length - I've found ours in all those places.

Alternatively get a new one (Argos maybe?), then the old one will turn up for sure - also from personal experience!

I sometimes take mine upstairs instead of my glasses case.

Oh, dear Whiff - it drives me spare. Things always seem to have a life of their own. I cant add to the suggestions, but do let us know when you find it and where it was!

For me, there is a benefit, it gets me moving around, when I'm looking I do bits of tidying, so time not wasted, but I realise thats not as possible for you with limited mobility. I presume you aren't sitting on it - I did that once!

I took mine out for the night in my bag....roars of laughter from my friends when I wanted to show them a pic on my phone haha.

After finding one of our sons shoes in the freezer it’s the first place I look. Worth a try? If all else fails get a replacement and I guarantee it will turn up!

We got accused to taking my parent's remote away with us when we had been visiting once. We were sure we hadn't taken it but did a good search in the car and bags just incase. They never found it and I'm sure to this day think we took it

Sorry, just noticed you said family had been. Have you checked they haven't taken it wrapped in cat bits and pieces???

Happened to us a few years ago... Sadly never found it. We think it might have been thrown away with a pile of newspapers that were on the Coffee table. Got a replacement from Amazon.

I lose mine at least once a day. I then resolve to always leave it in a designated spot. Do I? Of course not .

Have you run your hands down the the side of the sofas, between the cushion and the arm of the sofa…mine is always there.
Another thought, the mum of the house has probably put into her handbag, before she left….. just automatically.
