Wet and windy in Lancashire this morning, but that suits me as I dislike the sun. I shall take advantage of the weather to nip into town and do some shopping.
Did anyone else feel completely lost as an executor?
Coul you live on a cruise ship
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but with grey sky's over brackley this morning.
The usual routine for me with a bus trip to Bicester see people I know, return to lunch and watch some cycling on TV.
My Health OK ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton; rain showers expected, then sunny spells. Have been up for what seems like hours as I had a very early Sainsbury's delivery, everything now put away. Some washing up to do, then I am out to the hairdresser.
Had a good book club yesterday and delicious fresh cream Victoria sandwich. Watered the garden when I got back and got the washing in.
After the.hairdresser will go to Sainsbury's/M&S Food for a few extras, plus a gift bag for DGD2's birthday presents.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Good morning from sunny s somerset
**Ash **your cousin had such a wonderful distinguished career and a life full of service. May he rest in peace
I am so pleased to be getting eight hours of good sleep these days, I don`t know what I am doing differently but something is working
I had my energy all day yesterday and spent hours in cutting out one of the drapey viscose crepes that I almost chucked out. It was well behaved and did not slip and slide and I had two different tops out of the 3m. They will match a skirt I intend to make in the future, from denim.
Today I want to prep my tall butterfly cage ready to plant out my sprout plant for sprouts autumn/winter, one plant will feed me and I will put minicole cabbages around the bottom
I do want another walk today and have already threaded my machines with navy threads so will do some sewing as and when I get the mood later
I did miss my ready meals but my berry picking is almost finished and I can re-stock my freezer again. I made 7 yesterday, lamb veg and bean red Thai casserole, using west country spice sachets. I won`t make any more until I get the moment but it would likely be pea and ham soups or dahl and rice
Have a good day
Good morning all and it’s a bit overcast here on the Suffolk coast. Yesterday’s evening was beautiful and we sat out on our bank with a g and t, enjoying the peaceful view.
It was lovely to see Liberty appearing up our steps from the beach, I’d been looking out for her car arriving but she’d parked down below and walked round.
We had a coffee, joined by Dh and then her and I had a bite to eat at the beach cafe. She hadn’t been here for over 40 years so a trip down memory lane for her. Lovely to meet up again.
Today I’ll attempt to trim DH’s hair -( he’s not keen and keeps putting me off. ) .
This afternoon a neighbour is taking me to the local shops to get a few essentials. I’ll invite them back for a cuppa and cake. Only problem is, the man talks for England and is a bit sharp with his wife. My Dh is the complete opposite and probably won’t utter a word! Oh well, it will only be for an hour or so and I’m very grateful to them.
I hope you all have a ‘good’ day. 🌼
Morning from cloudy N Somerset, yesterday we walked a lot along various beaches, our f&c dinner was very disappointing.
Not sure about today, MrJ has just said it’s raining.

Sounds tricky Susan

Good morning Mick. Good morning all from a cloudy but warm West Cheshire.
Have just returned from a few days in beautiful sunny but cool Anglesey where our son has made up a bedroom just for us whenever we feel the need (trying very hard not to be there permanently, making him regret his kindness).
Really just popped in to wish FGT and himself all the very best for their appointment today. Hope she’s still reading and knows we all support them.
Have a good day everyone and keep a look out for that pink flamingo 🦩
A lurker sending love and good wishes to FGT,hope you can be back with us soon.
Good morning from an overcast Solihull, looks like we may have a shower or two today, but yet again we may not
Good Morning from Durham. It’s stopped raining, but it’s very windy, so I might change my plans and just head up to MetroCentre today - now Little Dog’s gone home, I can be out as long as I want. I must make a decision soon!
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from the cloudy midlands.
Just having breakfast after a restless night.
New pillows and duvet to get today.
Hugs to all suffering.
All best wishes for today FGT and himself x
Good morning everyone from grey Lancashire, where the sun is trying to peek out from behind some quite nasty looking clouds.
Yesterday’s optician appointment was like the curate’s egg. I don’t need new glasses, she has adjusted my current ones and they’re much better. She has also given me some advice on how to avoid bending the frame
.
However, while my left eye hasn’t changed I can no longer read anything with my right eye. The cataract is worse so I will need to discuss this with the consultant when I have my next Botox appointment in August. I wasn’t really expecting this but it isn’t as bad as it might sound. I don’t drive and I always protect my eyes from UV light. My binocular vision is OK. It’s not affecting my life. I am now noticing just how much my right eye has worsened over the last year. C’est la vie and I have options.
Ashcombe.
It’s good to have a diagnosis and know what you’re dealing with Kalu.
As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort and relief.
Have the best day you can everyone 🌹
Good morning all and thoughts with FGT and Himself today 🫂
Kalu we have the self sane weather forecast over here on the opposite side of the country, so looking forward to the afternoon! I'm sorry for your painful diagnosis, but whoever suggested tai chi as a good exercise was right (well, I would say that, wouldn't I 😄). The only balancing on one leg involved is the same as you do while walking with one leg taking the weight, then the other ..... It gives your entire body a good but very gentle workout, so please don't reject it without at least giving it a try.
I've been without my car all this week. It went in for a new clutch on Monday morning, but the wrong spare part was sent. However the garage is in an argument with his supplier who maintains he supplied the correct one, so here am I, little piggy-in-the-middle, stuck! It's a very peaceful and undemanding position to be in, but even I am beginning to be a wee bit bored - and I'm running out of bread, milk and eggs!! A taxi into town and back will become a necessity if I don't get the car back today. The joys of small town/countryside living I suppose, and not exactly the end of the world (though it might take me down to the bottom of my bank account 🤯)
Bella what a lovely memory to cherish. Your little twins sound so sweet.
Ash
. Our cousins are so precious. My younger cousin has taken to WhatsApping me every morning and evening now - she's 81 and is obviously thinking I'm next in the 'leaving queue' now that my sister and her brother have gone. It's rather lovely to have that connection.
Now the day is getting on, so so must I. Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing. Mizuna I do love your little patio!
A very late morning for me. I've been reading all your news.
It's all curate's egg isn't it Blossoming 🙄
I woke so late my df had already left for London, Italy and USA. I'll miss him and have made moves to find another lodger even short term while I sell my house.
I don't like living alone.
I made it to yoga this morning but it will be the last class for me as I have my cataract operation on Monday so won't be able to drive for some weeks. It's in a village hall but there's no bus and no one who comes from my town.
Thinking of all of you with sad and hard things to get through today.
